Around The World

Mood::iconchibiswedenplz:

By Monkey Majik, featuring Smap. Another great one from them. I love the beat to this one, and the lyrics are cool too. Here's a video of a live performance of it. (Kind of the least trippy vid I could find.:iconspainplz:):

I didn't post yesterday because we had problems with our cable. Yay!:iconyaykumajiroplz:Mom made an awesome dinner last night!:iconchibispainplz:It was salmon with herbs, a new recipe for brussel sprouts, and a good Israeli style basil and herb couscous. The brussels had a maple/olive oil sauce, with craisins. It was also the first time I've seen the sprouts still on the big stem. Really good stuff!:iconitalyplz:Towards the end, it started to become a bit too sweet, but it was awesome! I love brussel sprouts! They're like tiny cabbages.:iconus-xdplz:

My dad got a new car finally!:dummy:Her Ford Explorer broke down in either July or August. (Don't remember.) It took so long because, long story short, of her name change. She got a 2010 Subaru Impreza. Really new, but had 20,000 miles on it already. It's an interesting car.:iconchibicanadaplz:The driver and front passenger seats are heated. It also has a thermometer. Very soft seats. The mirrors can fold up.:iconheroamericaplz:

I ordered my prescriptions a couple of weeks ago. They were supposedly shipped on the day we had that storm. I was starting to worry about them, because I ran out of one of the doses already.:iconchibichinaplz:I take 2 large doses and 4 small everyday of the same med. Ended up being the exact right combo for me. They came on Saturday. Thank G-d!:iconprussiaplz:I don't think I could have kept taking 8 of those tiny ones, and it wouldn't have lasted long anyways. It seems like I'm running out of everything lately. Like those pills, shampoo, soap, etc. Very strange.:iconchibijapanplz:

Went to services on Saturday. Didn't have enough people for a minyan, so we weren't able to do a Torah service. But, we had a Torah study session instead. It was about the story of Joseph. There's always something to study in this portion, so it was kind of fun.:iconthailandplz:

Later, we went shopping. I got a pair of sneakers. Mine were so shot, although there were no actual holes yet. The plastic was coming off.:iconseychelles-plz:These are apparently slip and oil resistant. Cool!:iconchibihungaryplz:I hope they'll feel a bit more comfortable soon. Considering I like to walk a lot.:iconkikuplz:

For dinner that night, we went to a place called the Paella Bar. It's a new Tapas bar. (It's just downtown!) I think I've only gone to a Tapas restaurant once before. And, I don't remember much about it.:iconwtfromanoplz:I ordered a virgin apricot sour. It was so good!:iconhungaryplz:We ordered a thing of olives, beef empanadas, sea bass on skewers, chile relleno, a special Spanish nut bread, clams (Dad had them), potato tortilla with artichoke and aioli, and I think something else. The only thing we didn't like was the potato thing. It was dry, and to me didn't have enough artichokes. It was a really expensive place, too. We just glanced at the dessert menu and it looked amazing.

I just finished Gonzo on Sunday. It was really good! I was almost in tears by the end. I'll really miss this one.:iconsadrussia:I like that Kuroki finally realized it was ok to go on living. As a memorial ceremony they played Monami's last rehearsal on the stereo in front of her family, friends, and the detectives. Kind of nice. Sakuma just wanted to be the 'better' detective. But, he finally realized Kuroki's still far better than he is. He said he'll still keep trying. When Kuroki worked in the Equipment Division, Sakuma felt like he was always trying to live up to his 'ghost'. The acting was excellent.:iconchibipolandplz:I'll look up other shows the actors have been in, and grow my to watch list even more.

I posted a pic on dA and FB: What's Going On? It's another pic of Tasha. I think it's one of my better ones of her. And, she's not as annoyed. Already had a person fave it! I also read a little of the beginning of my novel. I have another flashback that connects to one at the beginning. So, just to keep clear what went on, I reviewed it. Really soon I'll be able to get back into writing. Played my clarinet yesterday too. Not bad. Came up with a good translation of that incredibly long sentence in the North American Post. I'm halfway through the next sentence. Hetalia wasn't up yet. Almost done with editing the Salty slot.
I started a new manga called Afterschool Charisma. It's a very interesting story and concept. There's a high school where clones of famous historical people attend. Like JFK, Napoleon, Freud, Marie Curie, Mozart, and many others. Shiro's the only one who's not a clone. His father's the headmaster. The clones deal with psychological and moral issues. Like, they're told to become better than their originals. But, some aren't into the same things their originals were. For instance, Marie Curie, loves music more than science. Also, the JFK clone is assassinated in a similar way to his original. Are the clones doomed to repeat history (as the Freud clone joked), or can they create their own destinies? Really interesting. And, good so far.
In Letter Bee, it was kind of sad. It was about a dingo who waited 10 years, in the same spot, for his master to come back from her last delivery. Reminds me of another famous story. Anyways, at the end, with the help of Lag and Niche; he found her grave. As soon as he realized where she was, he curled up next to her grave and passed away. Their graves are in the pic above.

deviantART faves: Happy Turkey Day Black Forest Cake Black Forest Cake (2) Yummy Frosty Morning I did not make these! First, a cute drawing of America as a kid, from Hetalia, and a turkey. A nice Thanksgiving themed one. The second and third ones, 2 different but really good looking cakes. Fourth, really tasty looking pastry. (They don't specify what type.) Fifth, a funny drawing of a character with his tongue stuck to his sword.

I Love xxx

Mood::iconchibipolandplz:

By Ai Otsuka. A beautiful/touching song.:iconchibispainplz:The video adds a certain touch to it. I really like this one.

The snow has mostly melted away. Yay!:dummy:I can deal with the rain instead. Last night's dinner was great.:iconitalyplz:They made their smoked turkey, which seemed a little dryer than normal. Also, their stuffing without chestnuts was good! Slightly burnt, but still tasted great! Someone brought a green bean thing with some mushrooms. After picking out the mushrooms, it was really great, too! Salad wasn't too bad, but it had a lot of avocados in it. (Again, after picking those out, it was tasty.) She had the canned cranberries!:iconhungaryplz:There was some gravy too. I couldn't taste much of it. For appetizers, we had 2 types of cheese, really good smoked salmon, and 2 different types of crackers. Dessert was: a really good fruit salad, ok pumpkin pie (it's not the best, but still good), strange homemade whipped cream (strange because it has absolutely no taste.:iconkikuplz:People were adding sugar), those awesome little brownies, and dark chocolate kisses. So, overall it was a pretty good.:iconheroamericaplz:

We were going to do our annual game of Trivial Pursuit, but almost everyone wanted to play Mahj instead.:iconwtfromanoplz:So, Dad and I played against each other. I'm no match for her with that game.:iconlietplz:Especially, because it's a very old version. I managed to get a wedge and a couple of answers right, but the rest of the time it was like torture.:iconromanoplz:

So, after she won, I suggested we play a different game. I found out they have Boggle!:iconus-xdplz:One of my fave word games. I ended up beating her in every round. She kept saying we've got to play a little more so she could beat me.:iconprussiaplz:Ended up being 75 to 70. Not a bad game.:iconchibiamericaplz:We couldn't play anymore, because we were about to leave. She looked disappointed that she couldn't win against me.:iconenglandispervyplz:

I faxed Kesher my health forms and a photocopy of my passport. The health form was a bit of a headache. But, at least they're over and done with.:iconeestiplz:Now, I don't have to do much for the trip. Just book a flight to NYC, pack, etc. The extras. Can't wait! :iconfrancisplz:

Played a little of the Sims 2. Austria's about to have her b-day. So, she'll be a toddler soon. Germany doesn't have much time until he's an adult. I keep making Prussia and Hungary drink from the Fountain of Youth.:iconsleepygreeceplz:I want them to have a huge family, and I'm not sure if I'd like to see them as elderly yet. Prussia has almost maxed out his logic skill points. It's just really interesting to watch their 'lives' unfold.

deviantART faves: Pandas Love Onigiri Friends 10 I did not make these! First, a cute pic of some red heart shaped onigiri. Second, this is so true!

This was just a taste of what the storm was like. It's a bit disturbing:

Thanksgiving!

Mood::iconchibicanadaplz:

Yay! For Thanksgiving!:iconlachoirplz:One of my fave holidays. It's fun to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and then in the afternoon go to our friends' house. Where we chat for a while, and then eat.:iconheroamericaplz:There'll be 6 people this year. I thought there'd be 8, but she was hoping that a couple of people would RSVP late or something. Never happened.:iconohboyamericaplz:But, that's ok. It'll just be the 3 of us, the 2 hosts, and another friend of ours. She's the president of our Hadassah group. Very nice person, just hard to deal with if you're on the board with her.:iconwtfromanoplz:So, sounds like it will be nice. We might have to go to that person's place, if they can't keep their wood stove going. It would be nice to see their new(ish) dog again. I can't wait to have that smoked turkey they make, the stuffing (hopefully, they'll have it without the chestnuts like usual), pumpkin pie, and the brownies. (And, I actually like that canned cranberry stuff. Better than the 'relish'.) Good stuff.:iconitalyplz:

I forgot to mention, the storm was so bad that the Behavioral Health Center; where I go for my therapist's and psychiatrist's appointments, was closed.:iconromanoplz: So I couldn't go to therapy. Wahoo!:iconyaykumajiroplz:But, it was nice that my therapist called us about it. Of course, since we didn't have power, the only working phone in the house was upstairs. So, I was trying to call the center, and was on hold for 10 minutes. Then, we realized someone left a message.:iconchibienglandplz:

I watched the finale for Untouchable. Anonymous was Ryoko's brother, Koji. (Just as I thought.:iconchibisitalyplz:) The actor played an awesome villain! One of those ones you love to hate.:iconenglandispervyplz:Just very well acted. Loved the evil side more than when he was 'acting' like a hero or protector. Ryoko got closer to Takafuji. They thought Koji blew himself up. But, Ryoko sees him at the very end watching her from a distance. A very nice finale. Except for leaving us hanging with the possibility Koji's still out there.:iconwtfukplz:Maybe there will be a second season? This show was awesome overall!:iconchibifranceplz:

I was going to watch Bloody Monday, but watched this instead, because I can't seem to find the episode I'm on.:icongermanyplz:If I don't find it next week, I'll just skip to the next one. I also looked at the dramas the actors from Untouchable were in. Added a lot of them to my list. Played a little of the Sims 2 yesterday. It's becoming more and more interesting. I'm getting a little nervous about the JLPT coming up so soon.:iconkikuplz:But, if I just relax, study the way I have been doing, it should be ok. If I worry too much, I'll screw up or freeze up.:iconseychelles-plz:Also, faved a lot of stuff on dA. Too many to post the links.:iconchibiswedenplz:(I think.) Mostly, food stuff. Also a new StupidFox and Spain and Romano in a tomato field.
