This holiday was on Sunday. Yay! A day devoted to one of my fave foods! There are some cheeses I can't stand, but there are many others that I really love. Haven't really been doing my cheese 'journey' for the last few months. Most of the ones I've tried I liked. Maybe I'll try another new one soon. Right now I have a garlic and herb jack cheese and grated parmesan. Still, both of those are good stuff.
This is my wallpaper for June. It's Rin on top of the demon form of Kuro, from Ao no Exorcist or Blue Exorcist. Kuro looks like a regular cat most of the time. Except for in that form he still has more than one tail and, I think, horns. Looks like a fun one.
With the Pusheen calendar, it's instructions on how to make a 'muffin'. Pusheen has a chef's hat on and a pink striped bowl is next her. With #1: You will need a bowl. Pusheen looks at the bowl close up. #2: Get in that bowl. She's trying to stuff herself in. #3: Nice work. She managed to get her legs and tail in, but the rest of her is the muffin top. She looks like she's stuck, actually. Even making a frustrated face. At the bottom of the calendar, there's a regular muffin. Cute but kind of sad at the same time for this one...I liked the cafe one from last month more.
I don't think I mentioned it, but we're in the month of Sivan on the Jewish calendar. Specifically, it's the 12th. Shavuot was from the night of May 30th to June 1st. It's a holiday to celebrate the giving of the Torah. It lit. means Weeks. It's also referred to as the Festival of Weeks. It marks the end of the counting of the Omer, too. The Omer is counted between Passover and Shavuot. Many people celebrate by eating dairy foods. Particularly cheesecake and blintzes. Dairy food has a few meanings. First, it's to symbolize the land of milk and honey. Next, that the Israelites didn't have time to change to a kosher diet once the Torah was given, and could only eat dairy. To be on the safe side, basically. Then, King Solomon compared the Torah to milk: "Like honey and milk, it lies under your tongue." Also, the gematria of the Hebrew word chalav or milk is 40. In reference to the 40 days and 40 nights that Moses spent on Mount Sinai before bringing down the Torah. Gematria is a numerological system where Hebrew letters correspond to numbers. Words can have more meanings this way. It's really interesting. Another way people observe the holiday is to study Torah all day and night. They also read the book of Ruth. I think that's the only holiday during Sivan.
The month-long holidays for June are: National Candy Month, National Dairy Month, National Iced Tea Month, National Seafood Month, Pride Month, National Camping Month. Some are for important causes, some are to make you appreciate things you may take for granted, and some are just for fun. Yay, it's Pride Month! I haven't gone camping in a long time. I kind of miss it.
Speaking of Pride, it's going to be a busy couple of months. This weekend is the LGBTQ+ picnic and rally. I think last year it was just a picnic. It seems to be at the same place as last year. Our local Pride organization has been asked to be in the Seattle Pride Parade at the end of the month. Supposedly they have a float there...Not sure. I don't think they were in it last year. That would be really cool to see and maybe be apart of. I think the Seattle Trans Pride is a couple of days before that. On July 4th, the local Pride organization will march in a local 4th of July parade. That will be like our local Pride parade. It's much smaller, though. Later that month, there's also the local Pride festival. I think there are a few festivals around locally at about the same time. So, lots to look forward to.
One downside is that I don't have a pole for my ace flag yet. I've been looking online to see what size I would need, and what they had on Amazon. Apparently a 7' one is best for my 3' x 5' flag. A lot of the 7' ones are 1" wide. I think the holes on mine would only fit a 1/2" wide one. They do say I can find them in places like Home Depot, Lowe's, or another local hardware store. So, I'll see. If need be, I can just put it on like a cape and tie it around my neck. I'm a bit worried that it'll get dirty or I'll trip on it, though. It is bigger than me.
If I do find a pole, it's probably going to make a statement no matter where I go with it. (It was the only size they had for ace flags at last year's local Pride fest.) I hope it'll be a good one. Hopefully, the 'gatekeepers' won't be there and berate me. On the other hand, there hasn't been much representation for us, so maybe it's time that someone is 'loud' and proud about it. There might be other aces that find me, and maybe want to join me or something. Maybe become friends that way, too. Also, a way to tell people about our group. I feel like I'll be the only ace there, but why not support others who aren't there? Also, it'd be cool to have at least a mini aro flag with it. Aros have even less representation. I can tell people about it if they ask, though. If I have a pole, and I wave the flag in the Seattle Pride parade, I think it'll end up on TV. That's another scary thing.
My health stuff hasn't been too great. I've found 2 weird lumps so far. One behind my left ear that I've had for about a month and a half. It seems to be slowly moving down my jawline. Still a similar size, though. Another one's near my right earlobe on part of my cheek. It seems to be growing a bit. They're kind of scary. I'm wondering if it's from the new med? Also, feeling a lot more gut pain lately. Sometimes it sounds like water is sloshing around in there. Sometimes it feels like something really hard and big is scraping through my insides. With that, it's so intense, I've felt like throwing up during it. I'm really wondering if things have changed since I've been off of azathioprine. I'm technically not on anything to monitor, keep in check, or slow down any inflammation at the moment. Scary stuff. I also feel like needing to go to the bathroom constantly, but can't. It's weird.
Tomorrow, I'm going to try to have a phone appointment again with my primary. I'm going to bring up a lot of this stuff with her in addition to what I was going to bring up last month. I'm going to ask if I can have some blood work done. Like a normal blood panel, sed rate, ALT, etc. When I was flaring before, my eosinophils and white blood cells were really high, and a few other things were off on the blood panel. The sed rate can indicate how my inflammation is. My highest value was 44, and it took a while to get it within 'normal' range. I think that was around 20. I know I've been told that it's not the perfect indicator, but I'd still like to know and compare it. I'd be shocked if it was up to 44 or more, but it'd be good to find out. Also, the liver can be affected, so that's why it'd be a good idea to find out with the ALT just in case. I haven't had any blood work done since March, I think. Might even be longer. They say if you're in remission, the most time doctors recommend in between is 3 months. Even that's a stretch for some, since it's so unpredictable and they want to stay on top of it. Plus, they have to monitor whatever meds the patient is on, and one of the best indicators is looking at their blood work. The gastro I'll have next will most likely put me on Remicade. That's another thing to think about. If I have that done, I'll have to go to a local hospital for the infusions. Plus, we don't know if I'd be allergic to it. They apparently make you wait a while afterwards. Especially on the first day. It can have many side effects, too. But, so does Humira, which is the other possibility. I have to be on something, though. Remicade can actually help with repairing the scarring of the colon that was caused by the disease. So, it'll at the very least help that way, if I really am still in remission. Plus, having a 'safety net' for if things go crazy, is a good thing.
I did finish and post my drawing of the personification of colitis. Sadly, I don't have a lot of the colored pencils I wanted for it. I like how most of it turned out. Especially considering I haven't drawn a full body in a while. I haven't had much practice in it anyways. I tried using the old anatomy book for artists as reference. I think it was once my grandma's. It's actually really interesting. The only things I didn't like about the anatomy were the hands being too small, and the limbs were slightly off. The torso/hips and head were pretty good. I'll only get better with that stuff if I practice it more. I still think it was better than some of my other drawings.
The skin color was supposed to be similar to what the color of my colon was in my first colonoscopy. That was like an angry red color. I put tiny and huge ulcers all over their body. The ulcers in that colonoscopy were like a bright orange color. They looked like stars in an angry sky. I didn't have the right color for those. In that colonoscopy, I didn't have the big ulcers that I had in the drawing. I drew kind of a crust around those. The little lines all over their skin represented scarring. They also have somewhat red puffy eyes. Some people get inflammation in their eyes along with IBD. There are many extraintestinal symptoms we can get. Places you wouldn't think would be connected to our gut. They're wearing a hospital gown, slippers, and hospital bracelet in the drawing. Blood is seeping through the gown, dripping from their hands, and pooling beneath them. I personally didn't have a lot of visible blood coming out, but many people also bleed internally from the ulcers. They have brown hair, with a huge ulcer popping through a patch of it. Wasn't sure if I was going to show them with their hair coming out or not. Many people lose their hair either because they have malabsorption issues from the disease, or because of the meds. I did have, and occasionally still have, malabsorption issues. Towards the beginning, my hair was coming out more than normal since I wasn't getting certain nutrients. It was just going right through me. I still have issues with getting enough protein. I'll have to break down at some point and see a dietitian. I don't want to, but I think I need to figure out what supplements I might need to add, or adding more of a certain type of food, or something. Only someone trained in dealing with IBD can help me. That's hard to find.
Anyways, I decided just having the ulcer in their hair was enough. I wasn't sure how to illustrate the fatigue, so I left that out. Even when in remission, most patients still have horrible fatigue. It's one of the most common symptoms. (And, no, exercise will not help with this type of fatigue. Might help with other things, but not with this.) There are studies currently being done on why this is.
Ended up looking like a very pained and miserable person. But, that's how we feel on the inside. We may look fine on the outside, but on the inside it's a different story. One person faved it right away on dA. So, that's something. I didn't add it to any groups, so not many people will see it. I kind of want it that way at the moment. I wasn't sure if I should put it under the mature tag. It's gory, but I don't think on the level of being mature. If it was more realistic looking, maybe. I don't know. I said at the beginning of the artist's comment section that if anyone told me I should tag it as mature, I will. So, it's up to whoever sees it, I guess.
I have some ideas for more drawings, so I might get a little more into it again. One of them is of someone with wounded wings outstretched. That'll have their back turned toward the front. I wanted to do something similar a while back when I was having a lot of pain between my shoulder blades. I might draw scenes with Alliance characters in them. Another idea is drawing buildings/interiors from the story. That might be easier and fun for me. For some reason, buildings and scenery come pretty easy to me.
I'm really coming along with the sequel to Alliance and the memoir. I'm on the 2nd chapter for both of them. 18 pages for the memoir, and close to that for Alliance 2. (It's essentially double the amount of pages if comparing it to a paperback. So, 18 is really like 36 pages.) Not bad. I hope I can end up writing more pages at a time soon. It still feels somewhat slow for both. Although, I only started them last month. I don't think it's even been a full month yet. First time trying to write 2 books at the same time, too. Although, I'm alternating every other day with them. For instance, I'll start with the memoir one day, the next it's Alliance 2, next it's the memoir, and so on. If I skip a day, I just go with the one I skipped and keep it going. I don't write on Saturdays, since that's Shabbat.
Netflix is amazing! I decided a few days ago to search for international movies and TV shows. I love international stuff. In fact, I took a foreign film class in college. It was awesome! Anyways, I searched for things like Swedish ones, Indian ones, Brazilian ones, Mexican ones, etc. It seems that the Netflix for this region, mostly has stuff from the US, Canada, and the UK. I like watching a lot of the UK and Canadian stuff, so that's ok. Found quite a few things from other countries. In fact, I found so many things, I doubt I'll ever get through them all. (Especially with how much I usually watch.) That seems like a good thing, though. Before, I didn't have much on my list. Certainly not many TV shows. Most of the recommendations were horror movies. I love horror, but honestly, there's a lot more out there. I found quite a variety of things.
I started watching The Doctor Blake Mysteries today. It's an Australian show that's set in 1959. He's basically an ME and helps the police solve murders. Only he does more than he's supposed to. He also is a regular family doctor, and took over his father's practice in his hometown. His nurse lives with him, and he has a housekeeper. He also seems to be a big feminist, which is interesting to see. Especially back then. Very open minded, and seems impulsive.
Been watching Shetland for a little while with Dad. It's a Scottish detective show. Apparently, I started watching during the 2nd season. I like it so far, though.
Started Mind Game recently, which is a detective show from Singapore. The head detective is a very tough kickass woman. Most of the guys are really nice looking, too. The only thing I don't like is the background music doesn't quite seem to fit the scenes. It's very interesting so far. I'm surprised with the occasional smattering of English. Most of it's in Chinese. I know it's a very mixed place, but I really don't know much about it. The current case is about a guy that first kidnaps women, then he pours glue down their throat, and decapitates them with an axe. Pretty brutal, but it looks like it might be nearing the end of this case. I hope each case doesn't have 3 episodes devoted to it. Really stretches it out this way. They've shown some of the traditional food there too, which has been an interesting little extra thing.
Started Bates Motel. So far, I'm unsure about this one. Also, started Between. I think this one has been better than I expected. Started an Israeli tavel/food show. I think there are only 4 episodes to that one. There are a few other travel/food related shows based in other countries on my list. Also, some nature, science, and astronomy shows. Found a lot of other detective shows from around the world. Seems to be something many countries like to make, which is great to me. There's a non-fiction (or is the actual genre called true crime?) Hong Kong show about forensic specialists and how they've helped police solve crimes. Very interesting.
There's a Korean detective movie about a trans detective who wants to quit so she can safely transition. If this is as good and interesting as it sounds (after I watch it), maybe I could recommend it as the next movie for when we have another potluck. The group has been having a difficult time finding suitable movies. Also, there's an Indian movie about a woman whose fiance dumped her just before her wedding. She decides to still have the wedding, and celebrates herself. Sounds interesting. I don't know why, but I'm getting aro ace vibes from it. It'd be cool if it was like that, but doubt it. With all these movies and shows, I won't feel like watching regular TV. Plus, there are no commercials, which makes it even better.

Einsamkeit
Mood:
Sung by Germany's voice actor from Hetalia on his Character CD. Einsamkeit means loneliness in German.
It's a pretty sad song until the end, and the music has an alternative rock type feel. About how he closed himself off to others for so long, and the good part is he's finally starting to open up to them. Germany's other character song puts me off a bit, so I'm glad I like this one.
On Saturday, I actually went to services!
It's the 3rd straight week in a row.
I only stopped going for a while, because I got tired of the way our Rabbi was running the services. That's the thing, I found out why I didn't like going: it's not refreshing and interesting during his services.
This time we had our cantor lead the service, and it actually felt fun and nice. Plus, she didn't try to explain everything, and did the things we've been asking the Rabbi to do. I've only been going because I feel like I need it, or I guess, I'm feeling more spiritual. I don't know if that's the right word.
There were a lot more people that I knew and liked to talk to, so that was another plus.
The portion on Saturday was the longest in the Torah, so we heard a very small snippet of it, but she talked about the topics that were touched later on in her commentary. It was very interesting.
We went out to eat to celebrate my mom's birthday.
The food was great, service not so much.
We all had their olives and almonds appetizer. The almonds had olive oil and herbs, and the olives were very tasty. I ordered the 'burger' on the menu. It comes with your choice of cheese, and I chose Bleu. The patty was fabulous! The cheese was a bit stronger than I'm used to, but still very good. The bread was great too! It came with things like the pickles, onions in a vinaigrette, lettuce, tomato, etc. on the side. There was also frites. Which are just French for French fries. They had some rosemary and olive oil on them. Very good! Next, we shared some bread pudding that had blueberries and a bourbon sauce. They lit a candle on it. It was awesome too. Although, the sauce was a bit light on the bourbon.
Next, we watched the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still. It was good up until the end. Kind of anti-climatic.
I liked the statue thing, that turned into tiny mechanical looking bugs that ate through everything. The kid was just an idiot! I'm sorry, but that's how I felt about him.
Yesterday night, we watched the series finale of Lost. It was crazy! The commentary from the actors before the finale on the show were funny and interesting. The actors come from all over the world. I think that's one of the things that made it interesting. It is kind of sad that it ended. I missed like 2 seasons, but apparently they weren't important, because I knew about the main storyline. Also, I watched their thing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, it was hilarious! The spoofs on it were great. The cast seem to be great comedians. A lot of them said they didn't watch the show. The ones that did were just about as confused as most people.
I worked a bit more on that long sentence from the grill's manual. I have all the components, I just have to piece them together. So far I think I can say the main parts are about rusting, treatment, and ventilation.
In Hetalia, Rome's feeling depressed. Germania actually cheers him up. (Rome's in the pic stealing Germany's potatoes.) After meeting with Italy and Germany, Japan's heading home. Italy catches up to him and tells him he'll give him a lift. He drives WAY too fast, and terrifies Japan. Spain teaches Romano some Spanish. Romano thinks that the language is very hard to memorize. In Southern Italy, the Spanish culture and influence from that era still remains. Sardinia still seems to use Spanish. When Spain sees Chibitalia, he begs Austria to trade him. Romano hears about it, and gets really angry. Spain not realizing what impact it had at first on Chibi Romano, apologizes.
I watched the first episode of the Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei: Bangaichi OVA. Kind of like the first half of their movie. Odd thing is I tried to watch the second episode, and can't seem to find it. That's kind of a let down. There might not be another season, so it's like watching half a series finale. Oh well, maybe someday I'll see the rest of it. The part I saw is still very funny and makes you think. I didn't remember Chiri had an older sister named Tane. She's like the exact opposite of Chiri. Mainly because she thinks it keeps Chiri in check. When they were younger, Chiri thought their goldfish needed washing and was about to take him out and shampoo him. To save it, Tane rolled in some mud and told her to clean her instead. Ever since, she's been trying to control Chiri's excess in cleanliness. Trash follows her wherever she goes, too. Sensei tells her he'll take over her job, so she can be a 'normal' clean beautiful girl.
I made dinner. It kind of was a new creation, and I think I like it. It was sushi rice (sushi technically just is vinegared rice), soy sauce, garlic, chicken, corn, carrots, peas, and onions all mixed together. The chicken and vegetables were cooked in garlic first. Turned out really tasty. Kind of looked like fried rice, but it was something different. Had a tangy, sweet, and savory taste. Might do it again some time.

Kumikyoku Nico Nico Douga (Len and Rin Version)
Mood:
Sung by the Len and Rin Vocaloids. I have both their version and Kaito's. It's like snippets of top Vocaloid hits on Nico Nico Douga, similar to a Japanese Youtube, which lasts for about 10 minutes. This version sounds different to me because of the harmonizing between 2 voices instead of hearing a solo.
Well, I slept in today, because I tired myself out yesterday, and I finally was able to get warm.
It was one of the coldest days on record yesterday.
So, last night was pretty cold, too.
Last night I watched Ando Natsu. Was kind of an interesting episode. The main part was about Takezo trying to come up with his original sweet for a tea ceremony coming up. The sweets at a tea ceremony can be very important, so there was a lot of pressure. In the end, he comes up with his own version of a Summer theme. He tried to make it look like fireworks, with a glittery effect, bright colors, etc. When you slice it in half and look at the inside, it looked really pretty.
He gets approval from the master confectioner.
In Naruto Shippuden, the Sage is still training Naruto. At first, he's told to sit perfectly still, and slowly over time learn to absorb the nature chakra around him. Naruto makes a good point and says he doesn't have a lot of time, since Pain can come at any moment and attack. So, the Sage comes up with a faster approach. Which is to rub toad oil on his body which will aid in absorbing it. When it's used by someone who's inexperienced, you start to turn into a frog. If you balance all of the chakras, you won't turn into one. If you use too much, you'll be a frog forever.
The Sage has a staff that will reverse the effect. Jiraiya wasn't able to truly master this jutsu. After a while, Naruto gets the hang of absorbing the nature chakra. Next, he had to raise a gigantic toad statue. He does it almost immediately.
The Sage said that he's learning it much faster than Jiraiya. Pain has set off to capture the Kyuubi, or Naruto.
I played Beyond the Tunnel. Which is an escape game, where you have been traveling through a tunnel looking for a way out, and come across a building. You go in, and you have to figure out how to escape. It was WAY too easy and quick. Not much of a challenge. Then, I played Biomass. It was very interesting and fun. The world's food supply is dangerously low, and there's an outbreak of cannibalism. Scientists are trying to figure out a new source of food. You have to infect the cells, in order for this to happen. If the beaker gets too full it explodes. I got to the 6th generation.
Next, I went through all our books. We have like a giant library in our living room, and it's spilling out into the dining room.
I would like to read something with a lot to it, and isn't boring. I found 26 books that I'm interested in. So, I'm going to make a booklist and figure out which one I should start with. Here are a few of them: The Tao Te Ching (wanted to read for a while now.
), Plato (I love philosophy), Jane Eyre (not sure if I've read it already
), The Dune series (we have, I think, the whole thing. It's a lot of books. I think I read 1 or 2 of them), Donaldson's books, Timeline (liked the movie, the book's supposed to be better), Anne Rice's books (have always wanted to read them), Shakespeare (has 23 plays and sonnets. I love Shakespeare.
), The Silmarillion, American Jewish Folklore, and the Faye Kellerman series. This isn't even half my selection, but these are some of the famous ones.

Dahlia -She Knows Love-
Mood:
By Aikawa Nanase. A cool sounding rock song. Very catchy too. I like her songs so far, might be a new fave! I've found a lot more songs for my playlist online. And, I've found a ton for my Zen Stone. (Mp3 player.) Makes me so happy!
Plus, only having 10 or 15 songs for an mp3 player gets old real quick. It holds 2 GB worth of songs, and before I barely filled it to half a percent.
I'm improving the amount, but it still's not enough. Just added 8 more songs. I looked for stationary that I could write on for penpals who want snail mail. I only have my old Snoopy ones. It's just not me anymore.
So, while my mom was out, she found some stationary. This time it looks a lot better. Has poppies around the edges, a green border with white bubbles, and a beige- type of background. Looks a lot nicer. She also got me matching envelopes.
Very nice of her.
Also, I printed off my revised and finished copy of chapter 8. After that, I looked over the hard copy to see if I could find more mistakes. So, now I'm caught up on my editing of Alliance. Finally, I'm going to continue writing tomorrow. It gave me some time to rethink this chapter, and what little I've done for it, I think I'll change.
Then, I watched last weeks episode of Lost, because I missed it. It was pretty sad, but I think nice towards the end of the episode. They're getting crazier with the plot. If you miss an episode, you get totally confused.
By Aikawa Nanase. A cool sounding rock song. Very catchy too. I like her songs so far, might be a new fave! I've found a lot more songs for my playlist online. And, I've found a ton for my Zen Stone. (Mp3 player.) Makes me so happy!

I watched the first episode of Ando Natsu since I liked the last time I watched. I like it even more now! ^_^ Ando was working and learning from a 'foreigner' (Laura) making European pastries. She said it was the happiest month of her life. Then, Laura died so the shop closed and she was forced to go to a job interview. She didn't get the job. She later decided to eat at a sweets shop while trying to figure out what to do next. The shop was looking for another worker, but no one was interested. So, long story short, she got the job. (With a little help from her friend, Yousuke's mom.) After trying them, Ando wants to be a Japanese sweets or wagashi chef. Apparently, there's many different varieties of wagashi. They joked about her name, which sounds like AnDonuts. :P There was a huge festival called the Sanja Matsuri. This time they centered the sweets on Hourai manju. It's like a giant cake filled with manju- or a type of wagashi. It was crazy, but good looking! They only have it for special occasions like weddings. (I couldn't find a pic of it for some reason.) Eventually, the head chef agrees to let her be his apprentice.
I also played some games. I'm going to do more things tomorrow, I was just put on hold because of those stupid SSA agents. -_-' My dad has a 3 day weekend starting tomorrow, so that should be nice. :D

Playground Love
By Air. :P Hi! I finished re- editing the first chapter and posted it today. My contacts were weird yesterday. My left lens just would not clear, so I had to break out a new pair. It had only been a week! :( I'm trying to wear them for at least 2. Also, I know this might sound nasty, but maybe a reason for that and for being tired all the time, was I started my period. (Or as I like to call it my 'monthly friend'.) -_- Now, what's scary about this, is it was pretty close to the last one, and heavier. I'm concerned because before I had an 8 month long one (literally non- stop, and extremely heavy), and the only thing that seemed to stop it or have it semi- normal, was having an IUD placed. They're supposed to last 5 years, I've only had it for a few months. -_- But, we went out to eat and went shopping, so that was nice. We went to Ghandi's, I love Indian food! :D I got the Chicken Tikka Masala. We shared an onion bhaji and some Naan. Good stuff! Oh, I also got new boots delivered recently. I think I like them. ^_^
It's kind of sad and funny at the same time that Naruto's the only one who's still a Genin, most people are Chuunin already. Plus, another one has made it to Kazekage. (The hidden village of sand's leader, kind of like a ruler. Another name for the village is Suna.) Deidara and Sasori make it into Suna. They're after Gaara for his Shukaku. (The one- tailed beast sealed up in him. Kind of like a 'raccoon dog'.) Deidara and Gaara fight. Gaara manages to crush Deidara hand, but Deidara wins. He doesn't kill him yet and abducts him. Kankuro goes after them and gets poisoned by Sasori. The puppets Kankuro uses are the ones Sasori made when he was living in Suna. After getting a message from Suna, Konoha sends out Kakashi's team to help them. Naruto finally tells Sakura about the Kyuubi. She saves Kankuro. Gai's team goes to Suna as reinforcements.
In Primeval they started to clean up the ARC. Jenny's apparently now in charge since Cutter died. That stupid reporter decided to steal the tracking device for anomalies that was in Jenny's car. Lester seemed to have a cool head after Cutter's death, but he had a huge outburst part way through. Since the reporters stole the tracker they got to the anomaly first (which is in an airport hangar.) First, a baby Velociraptor comes through, and immediately goes back in. A Giganotosaurus comes through. (What's in the picture.) Since it saw the reporters first it ate most of them. Connor likes to call it a G- Rex. It's bigger than a T- Rex and is much faster. The cop Quin shows up to help them. He wants to join the team, but Jenny keeps declining him. The G- Rex makes it on to the airfield and starts to attack an airplane that has pilots in it. Conner tries to divert its attention by driving a luggage truck around the airfield. He realizes he can't outrun it, and stops it abruptly and the G- Rex trips over it and knocks itself out. :P In the process of this, Connor was hit in the head. It made him a bit slow in trying to walk back to everyone. The G- Rex woke up after he was about halfway to them. Quin came to the rescue with driving around it with a helicoptor almost teasing it. He lures it away from Connor and heads to the hangar where the anomaly is. As it was heading toward the anomaly the silly reporters ran next to it and tried to take pictures of it. They get eaten as the G- Rex walks into it. Quin had flown into the anomaly too, and came out a bit later. Only he said there was a whole herd of G- Rex's following him. They closed it up just in time. :D

Since, I'm finally finished with the vocab list I worked on the common phrases. どうもありがとうございます。or doumo arigatou gozaimasu. (They don't have spaces between words.) XD Which means: Thank you very much. 戴きます!or itadakimasu! is an expression of gratitude before meals. いらっしゃいませ。 or irasshaimase. means welcome (in shops, etc.) お元気ですか?or ogenki desu ka? means How are you? お願いします or onegaishimasu means please. お早うございます。or ohayo gozaimasu means Good morning. お休みなさい。 or oyasuminasai. means Good night. ご馳走様でした。or gochisousamadeshita. is what people say after they eat. (Kind of like thank you for this wonderful meal.) こちらこそ or kochira koso is an expression meaning It is I who should say so. (Kind of sounds funny in English.) ご免ください?or gomen kudasai? means May I come in? 御免なさい。or gomennasai. means I beg your pardon, excuse me, or sorry. 済みません or sumimasen means sorry, excuse me, or thank you. (So many words for sorry. :P) 今日は or konnichiwa means Good day, Hello, or Good afternoon. (Funny, because the ha at the end is pronounced as wa.) ;D 今晩は or konbanwa means Good evening. (Also, has the ha that's pronounced as wa.) 左様なら or sayounara means Goodbye. (A phrase most people are already familiar with.) 失礼しました or shitsureishimashita means excuse me or I'm sorry. では、また。or dewa, mata. means Well then, see you again. どう致しまして or douitashimashite means You are welcome, don't mention it, not at all, or my pleasure. 初めまして or hajimemashite means How do you do? I am glad to meet you. Nice to meet you. 宜しく or yoroshiku means Best regards, please remember me, please treat me favorably, or please take care of.
I tried to pass the 4th level of When Penguins Attack. I came close, but I didn't make it. I also colored some of my drawing. Again, one of the hardest things for me is deciding on the colors. :P I managed to color and shade the character's clothes and most of the snow on the ground around him. Tomorrow is probably going to be a bit tougher since I'm going to be coloring the sunset and the rest of the sky. Should be fun though. XD

Ogenki desuka?
This means how are you. Hi! I'm still feeling sick, but I decided to kind of ignore it today by trying to pack my routine up. I think I over did it a bit. I started coughing so hard in the middle of the day, I thought my throat would give out. x_x But, I still had some fun today!
I watched some of the program called Health for Today. At first, I thought it was about blood clots in the lungs. But, I looked up the kanji I wasn't sure of and it was cancer spots in the lungs. They talked about how there's new technology out today that will take care of them. They said they can now stick lasers down into the lung that's affected and take out the cancerous tumor, with little discomfort. I'm not sure if I really believe that, it sounds kind of weird.
After that, I read some of Naruto. I read the part when the Sandaime Hokage dies and how Orochimaru loses the use of his arms. (Happened at the same time.) Now Orochimaru can't use his arms for all the jutsus he's been collecting. (Although, I know later things change.) It's kind of fitting for him, considering he wants to know all of the jutsus in the world and to have the tool to do it with, be taken away. Also, I like how Naruto was able to beat some sense into Gaara. (Literally. ^_^) I got to the point where Jiraiya and Naruto set off on a trip. I know from the anime this is where he trains with Jiraiya. It's also the trip where they meet Tsunade. Tsunade's just awesome! :P
I watched a bit of a program called J- lit. It's about old and new Japanese stories. The funny thing is when they were interviewing (I think the author, could just be a critic.) someone, they spoke in Japanese. When they read parts of the book they spoke in English, even though I could clearly see the book was in Japanese. o_O Kind of confusing! This program was only about 5 minutes long. I think I'm noticing that either the general public of Japan have short attention spans or they feel like they need to have more topics or shows during the day? At least to feel like a full day? I don't know, it makes for an awfully weird schedule though. That's another thing, I had to really search online for this channel's schedule, because they mix everything up and don't have the right times when you go to the programs' descriptions. Plus, they put in a little corner towards the bottom of their homepage a link for the schedule. Hard to see!
Later I watched Have a Good Day! Apparently, September 1st is Disaster Prevention day. They were still talking about preparing for earthquakes, fires, etc. This holiday marks the day in 1923 (?) when a huge earthquake hit much of Tokyo, Yokohama, and other surrounding cities. I think they said it was a 7.9 on the Richter scale. It killed 140,000 people. So, in memory, they educate and prepare people for disasters. They showed drills across the country, at companies, stores, schools, etc.
I watched their TV exercises for today. (It was only a 5 minute program. I think the one for Saturday is 10 minutes.) They mostly move their arms around. But, it was nice to see them showing that someone sitting down can still do them. Kind of doesn't help the legs or the rest of the body though. :P I heard a while ago that the whole country stops what they're doing to turn on the radio at a cetain time, and start these exercises. I don't think you have to do them, but they're strongly encouraged. Next, was Hello From Studio Park. This one was about an actor's life and the people that have worked with him. Also, they were promoting his movies through out most of the show. I don't think I liked it much. That's the good thing about watching these things first, I can pick and choose. Chances are I probably will have a lot less programs I'll want to watch once I figure out the normal shows. :P
I watched Today's Menu. I kind of like it for some reason. The host seems a little corny, but cheeky. The hostess has a funny personality herself. (Kind of sarcastic.) Today they were cooking Thai food. They started with serving mango juice. I think the next thing was called Tomayamachan. I could be wrong, because I don't think I've heard of it and can't find it anywhere online. It's a shrimp, potato (I think, although I could have sworn the hostess said it was garlic. But they looked too huge to be garlic. o_O), curry, tomato, and hot peppers soup. They called the next thing Taifunyakisoba. I think it's a play on Thai food and the typhoon season starting, and of course it's a type of Yakisoba. Kind of funny. :P It had aburaage (Made from soy beans. It's basically deep fried tofu cut into thin slices. Often, they're called tofu pouches. And in folklore, it was the favorite food of the fox.), bunch of veggies, ramen, hot peppers, hoisin, and mirin. Next, they made broccoli tempura with a 'sweet' sauce (didn't catch what was in it, but saw it said amai which means sweet, it was also red.) and sprinkled edible flowers over it.
I know all day is like Japanese to me now, but I still need some time to go over things and learn why they say certain things on my own. Also, helps to slow things down a bit. ^_^ So, I was writing during some of the shows some of the kanji I don't know and some of the words they were saying that I wasn't familiar with. (And some I just needed a review on.) Later, I looked up some of these characters. Some of them are really weird looking. So, now I know 8 characters of Kanji pretty well, and I think there was only one or two of them I knew of already. I learned the words for ground, rice field, generations, district (or ward, section), plan, precious stone (or food containing eggs, or an abbreviation for King [Shogi]. Kind of a weird one.), chief (or leader), and country. They are: chi, ta, sei, ku, kei, gyoku, chou, kuni. (Following the same order.) If you can see Kanji on your computer, they look like this: 地, 田, 世, 区, 計, 玉, 長, 国. If you can see it, you know how weird they look. :P I'll look up more of the ones I have from today's shows tomorrow.
I also watched some of La Corda d'Oro second season. It was mainly about showing the guy who stopped playing his intrument, that he shouldn't worry about what others think and play from the heart when he plays again. It was quite a sappy episode. I liked that towards the end they had the ensemble play. Apparently, Hino was asked to play a solo, but they're showing that in the next episode.
I also watched some of Hetalia's second season. Wahoo! They're still making them. There were talks about stopping it last season. (Look for it in previous posts, I talk about the first season. Just so you have some background.) It's still as funny as ever. :P And again only 5 minute episodes. I wish they were longer. :( One of them was about Russia. How he thinks he can fall from any height and safely land on the snow like it was a giant pillow. He falls out of a plane shouting Vodka all the way down, and later breaks a few bones but that didn't phase him at all. Everyone's terrified of him, even the 'Baltic' countries. Latvia appears to look up to him, but he really thinks Russia's a bully and is trying to hold his country back. They focused a bit on the Anglo- Japanese Alliance that was signed in 1902. (I think that was the year.) England visits Japan, and is amazed by the nature of Japan. For instance, Mt. Fuji. He's also especially interested in the folktales. Eventually, he gets so exhausted he ends up believing these folktales and sees 'spirits'. What really happened was he was talking to himself and passed out. They also talked about customs each country has for Christmas. I like how Japan said it's just a commercialized holiday and doesn't mean much. (He was happy to get presents, although he said he wasn't Christian. I think it's funny.) Also, how Russia said they celebrate it on a different day and make dolls that come to life on December 25th. :P I'm now caught up to the newest episodes. Next one should be on the 7th. It's supposed to come out every Monday.
How to Enjoy Art Museums was interesting. (Another show.) It's about how they are set up in Japan. They have like separate buildings for each exhibition. I think the one the showed had a samurai theme. It had wide open spaces and was in a forest. Very interesting artwork too. I like the paintings that were split into 2 panels. One side being half of a mountain scene, and the other continuing it.
Started watching a concert that was full of singers. When they sang, there was the letters they were singing on the screen below them. So, I could follow along, even if I didn't understand some of the words. That was an awesome learning tool for me. Had to stop for our local news and dinner. :D Sorry, if this is too long. I'm kind of excited, and this can also serve as a record for what I've done. Kind of fun that way. I love comments or feedback though. Always nice to hear peoples' opinions on things. :3 I'm actually very happy right now, although a little drained because it's like info overload, but it's still good.

Comedy is simply a funny way of being serious.
This is a quote from Peter Ustinov. Hi! Today my contacts were a lot better. I didn't have much of a problem during the day, and they didn't pop out. I guess yesterday was just fluke. I still can't wait until Tuesday! They'll be my presription, so they'll be clearer and maybe more comfortable. ^_^ I also felt pretty well as a whole today.
We went to Walmart, Sears, and Best Buy today. At Walmart, we got sunglasses for me. I've never had 'real' sunglasses before, so this was awesome. (Before I would get clip on ones. They clip on to your regular glasses.) My dad said I looked like a rockstar or something. I don't know about that. He also said I look more beautiful. =^_^= We also got more solution for my contacts, some Sudafed, etc. We also found a bag that fit my sunglasses that was at the optical place there.
Our washing machine died this morning. It was making grinding sounds and I think some squeaks were in there too. :P So, it kind of struggled as it died. We went to Sears to get a replacement. We decided on an upright washing machine. (I think that's what they're called.) we had a very old fashioned type of washing machine. Since there's no agitator, we can wash things like blankets easier. It sounds like it will be powerful. I think they're going to deliver it on Wednesday. They'll take away our old one.
We went to Best Buy because there was a computer on sale. We decided that I'll get Dad's old computer and he'll get the new one. It's quite different than my laptop was, but it should be good. Dad still has to transfer his things from this one to the new one. After that I can truly feel like it's mine. I can't delete any of the programs I don't think I need until that happens. I don't think I'll add my documents until than either. Still kind of a holding pattern, but at least I have something to go on. The weird thing was I had to go and use Dad's modem to get internet. His new computer doesn't connect to the internet right now. He has to go to the store and get something extra, but it should work after that. The new computer also came with an all in one printer, which he gave to me. I was rather surprised, but that's really nice of him. Also, my entire desk is filled up with 'stuff'. (The monitor, mouse, keyboard, computer part, printer, and my lamp.) It's weird to go from the laptop built in mouse to an external mouse. This one didn't work on the class that's on my desk and I don't have a mouse pad. So, I flipped over a notepad that had cardboard and worked really great. Funny, in a way. Also, the extra speakers are awesome! I'm not used to it, but it's sounds great.
For dinner Dad made some beef stew over noodles. It was good, just not cooked quite enough. We also had more of the peach muffins. Not enough peaches, but still good. We also watched some of the Monk episodes on demand that we didn't see when they aired. One was about an actress Monk idolized. He finds out she's not who he thinks she is. Plus, she murdered someone. The next one was about a man from Nigeria and finding out who killed his wife. It was very sad. Monk kept getting confused and kept thinking about Trudy when the man talked about his wife. (Trudy was killed too, but no one caught the killer.)
