National Sandwich Day!

Mood::iconchibipolandplz:

Yay for sandwiches!:dummy:It's also Culture Day or Bunka no Hi (文化の日) in Japan. It's a day of promoting culture, the arts, and academics. Festivities typically include art exhibitions, parades, festivals, and award ceremonies for distinguished artists and scholars (some of which don't have to be Japanese citizens). Schools hold a culture festival, as well. Cool! Sounds like my kind of day.:iconhappychinaplz:I've seen 'culture festivals' being portrayed in Jdramas and anime shows. It sounds fun.
This is my wallpaper for the month. Not sure if I'll change it later...:iconswissplz:It's Vocaloid themed. Chibi versions of Meiko, Gakupo, Len, Rin, Luka, and Miku are celebrating Kaito's birthday. He looks a bit overwhelmed with stuff.:iconseychelles-plz:Cute though. This is the only good birthday themed wallpaper I liked this time. By the way, only 4 more days! I'll celebrate sooner, though.:iconthailandplz:

My Japanese woodblock calendar isn't as impressive as in previous months. Just stormy looking. And still don't have a new Jewish calendar, so I'm using the tiny 4 month on one page thing at the end. Can't read it too well. But, I think Mom and I will have new ones soon. (Pretty soon we'll have to get the normal calendars, too.:iconbraginskiplz:)

Here's the month-long holidays: Adopt a Senior Pet Month, Epilepsy Awareness Month, International Drum (Percussion) Month, National Adoption Month, Georgia Pecan Month, National Novel Writing Month, National Peanut Butter Lovers' Month, National Pomegranate Month, National Roasting Month, Vegan Month, Good Nutrition Month, National Pepper Month. Some are important causes, some are to make you think and appreciate things you may take for granted, and some are just for fun. I think there's less this time. I love peanut butter!:love:Drums/percussion's cool too! Pecans and pomegranates are awesome!

Some areas around us are experiencing record lows. And, they were forecasting ice pellet showers last night. Wahoo!:iconcoldrussiaplz:It usually doesn't get like this until at least the end of the month.

Went early to Poulsbohemian yesterday, because Mom was meeting someone. I grabbed my lunch from a crepe place near it. First time there. Ordered the Scandinavian, which has smoked salmon, capers, lemon juice, spinach, and some cream cheese. It was pretty good, and seemed really big to me. Just wasn't too sure about their whole-wheat crepe.:iconnorwayunimpressedplz:And, there was a huge glob of cream cheese in one area, an area with just spinach, and the fish wasn't mixed in either. I really wanted to try 'the Works', but I needed something more lunch-y, instead of dessert.:iconpolandplz:The Works had whipped cream, nutella, nuts, I think bananas, and other stuff. Plus, I think they use a different kind of crepe for desserts. Oh well. Maybe next time, we could grab some soup from Poulsbohemian, and then grab a dessert crepe.:iconchibinitalyplz:

I got a lot done at the cafe. Transposed an Irish tune, wrote out another big section of You Maga, read, drew, did a crossword puzzle, came up with more ideas for Alliance, and went through part of their dictionary. All within about 4 and a half hours. Also, got to talk a bit to the barista and her friends.:iconsleepygreeceplz:

I needed some time to cool done after all that, so I played around a bit on Facebook. By the time I was done, it was getting pretty late. I made Japanese curry, so we had dinner a bit later than we'd like.:icongermanyplz:Added too much water, so it was too runny. I forget, if you're making half the package, you do half the ingredients and a little less water. I think I've done that before.:icontinoplz:This time I used chicken, tiny potatoes, carrots, and broccoli. Good stuff, still. I might make mac and cheese tonight, since it's just Mom and I. Not sure...

I was the primary person to hand out candy this year. Mom was very sick, and Dad had something after work. Some of the little toddlers were so cute!:iconchibihungaryplz:They had problems getting up the stairs. I wanted to help them, but they were determined to do it on their own. Rosie was surprisingly better than I thought she would be. She stayed on the ottoman watching patiently as the trick-or-treaters came to the door. (We had the wooden door open, so it wouldn't keep closing on me. So, there was just a glass door closed.) They saw her and kept telling me how adorable she was. When I was trying to eat dinner, the kids were starting out, so every time I'd take a bite, I heard our doorbell.:iconlovinoplz:

I hate when kids try to grab all the candy from the bowl before I get a chance to give it to them.:iconromanoplz:Only a couple of those though. At one point, there was a line all the way out into the street.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:I think they liked our selection. With some of them saying, "OMG! They have Skittles!" or "I'm eating my Twix now!" Kind of a nice feeling.:iconeestiplz:We only had 12 pieces left in the bowl. Last year it was like half the bowl. So more kids this year. But, I saved some pieces for us before I gave the candy out. So, we had plenty for ourselves.:iconenglandispervyplz:

Im Nin'Alu

Mood:Onion Icon

By Ofra Haza. It means If the Doors Are Locked in Hebrew. It's an awesome Israeli dance song. ^_^ Makes you want to get up and dance. MSN Onion IconsI wrote some more of Alliance. It's now 70 pages long!MSN Onion IconsKind of cool. I played some Mozart as a warm-up again. Then, I finished the book of Irish tunes that I have. (More like they're print outs stabled together, but same thing.) So, I at least went over all the songs again. Next, I'm thinking of playing all my Gershwin tunes. Onion Icon

Got to Sebastian and Greil's fight, the rest was pretty much the same as the anime. Sebastian gets cut by the 'scythe' or really chainsaw, and the shinigami was expecting to see 'dramatic' scenes in his memories. Instead, they were rather funny, and he wouldn't let him see past a year. He was just playing around with Greil, and said it was time to get serious. He stopped the movement of the saw with his jacket, and the shinigami was defenseless without it. So, he tried to beat him to death. When that doesn't work he takes the jacket out of the saw, and is about use it on him, when another shinigami  shows up. His name's William Spear and is apart of the Management Division of the Shinigami, and wants to 'pick up' Greil. He stands on him and tells him how many rules he's broken and takes him away.

I finished the verb forms for 合う. They might not be the best sentences, but I really got a feel with this one. 彼は彼らが合わせられない。He won't be made to agree with them. 彼は彼らが合わせられます。He is made to match them. 彼は彼らが合わせられません。He won't be made to agree with them. (polite) 彼らは合おう。Let's agree with them. 彼らは合うまい。I won't agree with them. 彼らは合いましょう。Let's agree with them. (polite) 彼らは合いますまい。I won't agree with them. (polite) 私は彼らが合うだろう。I probably will agree with them. 私は彼らが合わないだろう。I probably won't agree with them. 私は彼らが合うでしょう。I probably will agree with them. (polite) 私は彼らが合わないでしょう。I probably won't agree with them. (polite) 彼らは合ったり。Things like agreeing with them. 彼らは合わなかったり。Not things like agreeing with them. 彼らは合いましたり。Things like agreeing with them. (polite) 彼らは合いませんでしたり。Not things like agreeing with them. (polite) 彼らは合え。Match those. 彼らは合うな。Don't match those. 彼らは合いなさい。Match those. (polite) 彼らは合いなさるな。Don't match those. (polite) Wow! I did a lot of them today! Onion Icon

In Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, they continued with what really surprises people today. Most people find the most surprising thing is when you expect something to happen and it doesn't. They called it a 'reverse surprise'. Things like not getting any spam, there being no 'training', parked for 5 hours and there's no fine, and the Y2K bug. Next, was confession training. According to sensei, he wants to be able to confess or admit he did something wrong more easily. Chiri says it's not enough to just say you did something, you have to visualize what you did. He realizes that confession training may make a lot of manga, anime, and films fall apart. There are people who confess too much also. Herbal drinks that admit they're nasty, confess that the pics of Nessie are hoaxes and tourists go away. Last part was drawn really oddly, or I guess surreal. (The pic is Kafuka when she looks head on in this part, but she looked almost scary when she looked off to the side. Sensei did most of the time, too.) It was about a 'train that leads to no where'. This part was just too weird, I'm sorry. :P

I played Bread Girl by Minoto. Minoto's awesome! :D It was funny, quicker than normal, and cute. Next, I played Banana Juice room. By the same people who did Black Tea room, apple room, chocolate room, etc. They're such weird rooms, but make you really think. There's always a lot of puzzles in it. I was surprised I got out without any help for the code. I only had a hard time with finding a stick and the yellow ball. It was easy other than that. I got the perfect end. MSN Onion Emoticons

I posted my original character, Vincent, on deviantART. Hopefully, people will like him. He's at: Vincent. Onion Icon

Aha! (All We Want)

Mood:Onion Icon

By Love Psychedelico. It sounds like a tribute to both the song All We Need Is Love, Lennon, and Bob Dylan. Kind of a cool laid back rock song. The type that makes you feel good when you hear it. MSN Onion IconI wrote a couple more pages for chapter 9. Also, played my clarinet. This time Mozart as a warm-up, and Irish tunes the rest of the time. Got to play one of my faves that I haven't played in such a long time! It's called the Gold Ring. Sounds awesome and is fun to play. The only thing is it's really long, which is tiring. I guess it's a good tiring if it's fun, right?

In Dear, Chiruha passes out before she could transform all the way. Kisara saves her and takes her to his place. Tells her that he has to keep an eye on her, since his job is when he finds a Lycanthrope, he's supposed to protect it. (Since they're so rare.) So, she has to stay there. She's more than happy about it though, and says when they were little they used to play together. He tells her he's happy to have met her again. Since he has to keep an 'eye' on her, he takes her everywhere with him, including work. After meeting his co-workers, she's amazed by small things like mechanical pencils and instant meals in bowls. (Ramen, spaghetti, etc.) Apparently, back at her home she only ate wild birds, boars, and wild plants. O.O For the first time, she decides to make 3 different cuisines from things she learned while watching TV. American, Chinese, and Japanese food. Comes out good. When she hears loud noises her 'wolf' ears pop out. (Which causes problems if you have to conceal your identity.) Kisara tells someone over the phone that he's only being friendly with her so he can kill her more easily. Later, she saves him from 2 demons, and he tells her never to do that again. But, she tells him she's keeping the promise they made when they were little. You protect me, and I'll protect you.

I did a few more verb forms. 私はあなたが合えない。I can't agree with you. あなたは彼らの合えますか。Can you match those? 私はあなたが合えません。I can't agree with you. (Polite version.) 彼らは合われる。They would be correct. 彼らは合われない。They aren't correct. 彼らは合われます。They would be correct. (Polite.) 彼らは合われません。They aren't correct. (Polite.) 私はあなたが彼を合わせる。I will make you agree with them.

Naruto Shippuden wasn't up yet, so I watched Gintama instead. :D (The gorilla is Kondo, white cat is Gintoki, and Katsura's the black one. Their cat and gorilla versions are funny and fit their personalities well.) Only Gintama can have you crying your eyes out one minute, and the next laughing so hard. ^_^ Apparently, they're rounding up all the stray cats, and taking them to the planet Catnip's embassy. XD Hoichi used to be human. He was in the Yakuza and used to murder people whenever his employer told him to and felt imprisoned. One day he met a stray cat, and he envied him for being so free. He started feeding him everyday. When he played with him, it calmed him down. After that, he promised to never kill anyone, because the cat taught him the value of life. When his employer found out, he sent him on a suicide mission, and he was prepared to die. Just before they were going to kill him, the cat that he took care of jumped inbetween and was killed trying to save him. Next thing he knows, he's a cat. The cat felt that Hoichi broke his promise and for his punishment, he gave him his body. Now, Hoichi tries to protect those who he cares about. (Very similar to the cat before.) Hoichi gets captured. Gintoki, Kondo, and Katsura get caught after they fall into a trap while trying to find Hoichi. Katsura breaks out of the cage, and frees the other 2. (Hilarious scene!) He and Kondo fight the guards while Gintoki goes on to find Hoichi.

Played a game called Old Gold Mine. It was interesting, but a bit creepy. In the end you get the gold and escape.

I'm done with my drawing of Vincent. I really like the way he turned out, except his hands. I still have to work on those a bit more. ^_^ I think it's good, that it seems to be the only thing that's off with it now. I love the colors I decided on, and even the way I 'designed' his clothes. I tried to make him look a little tough. He has some holes in his jeans, chain coming from a black belt that hangs, a white shirt, and a nice detailed black 'leather' jacket. I even like how his hair and eye colors came out. :D I'll post him tomorrow on deviantART. I'll give the link out for it too.

Ai No Mi (Dub Mix) (yet again)

Mood:

By Minmi. (I so need to find more tunes for my playlist!) This morning my computer was really slow, which made it less time to do my morning stuff. I thought it was updating in the background or something. Usually when that happens I get a little bubble saying it just downloaded its updates. That didn't happen this time. Maybe it was some other application?

I got a new watcher on deviantART! Makes me so happy! I also posted the next chapter to Alliance: Chapter 8 I just noticed, someone downloaded it. I'm still a bit weary of that feature, because they could probably call it their own. Maybe next time I can disable it or something? But, then again it could also be used so the person can read it at another time, or its just something they liked and wanted a copy.

I played my clarinet again! This time it wasn't too bad. I guess I'm getting more like I was before. Played some Mozart and some Irish tunes. Yeah, I'm weird, Irish tunes for a clarinet isn't heard of too often. It's fun though, and a bit more challenging.

In Dear, after Chiruha tells Kisara that she's a Lycanthrope, he gives her some of his dinner. (I thought he would kill her since she's not human.) The whole time she's with him, she's incredibly nervous. Kisara has amnesia, and obviously can't remember where he came from or who he was. Later, Chiruha gets tricked by a demon that tries to eat her. Kisara jumps in and saves her. She suddenly has a flash back of when she was younger and with a little boy, who looked awfully similar to Kisara. He saved her, too. I don't know the people in the pic yet, but they're in the next part. The art's pretty cool in this manga.

日本語
I worked on more verb form sentences. I kept my non- past example, because it looked like I was correct by looking at how it was used with other examples online. Next, was て or te form- In this case, used as 'greeting'. 何を挨拶しましてよ。What a greeting! (Not a very original sentence but I figured out the Japanese on my own and reviewed it, it was correct.) Next, was the potential form. のちほど、あなたは彼らに挨拶できますか。Later, can you greet them? Tried to do 2 other forms, but it doesn't seem like those ones are really used with this verb. After going through the other forms, I'll probably do the negatives of them. I also got a another penpal! It's like someone told all these people to in the next couple of days email her. I haven't been on the site they saw my profile on for at least a year. That's the creepy part. Although, I'm pretty happy with as many penpals as I can get.

In Naruto Shippuden, Naruto falls into a trap when he thinks he's found Shiranami. The bandits were waiting for him, and put him in a barrier that sucks the chakra out of its victims. He easily breaks it, barely using his Kyuubi chakra. (Which overloads it.) They put him in a bigger one, this time he passes out. Utakata saves him. Meanwhile, Shiranami finds and brings Hotaru back to her village. He's turned all the villagers into what looks like zombies, but they're under a jutsu that makes them blindly obey him. Naruto and Utakata make it to the village. Even the kids are under the jutsu, one attacked them. Soon after, the other villagers start attacking too. The bandits are controlling them. Sai, Yamato, and Sakura find Naruto and Utakata just in time. The 4 bandits try to attack all of them, but Naruto and Utakata get past them. Shiranami is doing a ritual that will extract the Forbidden jutsu from her back.

I played a game called Immortall. It was very interesting, if not strange. You're an alien who crash lands on Earth, which is apparently in the midst of a war. As you become friends and walk around with the humans, you get bigger. Suddenly, there are spots where people with machine guns, bombs, and tanks are trying to kill the humans you became friends with. You have to shield the attacks in order to save the family who follows you everywhere. Eventually, it gets to be too much and you die at the end. The humans mourn you for a while, but leave, and you get covered in snow. This seemed even more unique than what I've seen lately, very cool. Although, sad. I played a Minoto game called Morning Time. His games are always funny and cute! It was about a girl who wakes up with bed hair, and you have to exchange items to find her hair gel. They even had a monkey doing curling. So odd, yet fun!

I decided to take a rest from drawing since I just finished one. So, I posted Gun in a forum I really like. Also, posted my story, a recipe, and signed up for a contest. The contest is for best self- drawn original character. I put Gun in for it. The contest just started yesterday, and will go until the 17th. I doubt I'll win, but it should be fun and new. I'm not used to contests or competitions.
