Cool! It's also called UN Peace Day. It was established in 1981. I'm all for peace, so that's awesome it has its own day!


It was another cooler than normal day. Tonight, we're going to a thing called 100 Voices: A Journey Home. It's a documentary, and a live concert. It's about the journey for 100 cantors returning to Poland. It's the largest group of cantors to ever return to Poland.Apparently, the Cantorial tradition came from there. It sounds like it will be amazing!I still don't know much about it.

I also wrote a lot more of chapter 12. It's getting even more interesting!Played some more Irish tunes. It was pretty good. Not very many mistakes. I think I was rushing it a bit. 

In Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, it was about double meanings of the words people use. "Aggressive war" to put more softly- "Fight against terrorism". "Unemployment notice" is said as "You are free to do as you please". Chiri says she'd rather harden her subtitles to what people say. "Freedom of belief" subbed as "But, my religion is the best there is." "Sales reported a small impact" subbed as "I like how disappointed you are." Next, was forgetting your TPO or Time, Place, and Occasion. I remember this part in the anime. They talk about June brides, and how the weddings would be during their rainy season. They end up going back to the Sengoku period.Which was during the 'Warring States' era. The 1460's-1600. They eat Soyjoy, send text messages, and one just stays a Hikikomori while they're on the battlefield. The only student who matches the time period is Chiri. (Doesn't surprise me.)

A lot of things happened in Kuroshitsuji.Ciel makes it back to London, but the Undertaker tells him he'll die soon. The mansion, including all of London, are being burned to the ground. The Queen dies, and Ciel is accused of the murder. Funny, because he was just about to kill her anyways. Ciel meets up with Meirin, Finny, and Bard while they're trying to shoot tranquilizers at Pluto. He's the one who's setting the fires. Ciel orders them to kill Pluto.Ash says when everything burns down, a gate to a new century will open. (He's in the pic above.) Apparently, the angels Ash and Angela are essentially the same person.When Ciel's cornered by the Queen's guards, he yells "I will not end here!" Sebastian saves him saying "You've finally awoken." And, suddenly Ciel's his master again?Ciel's been shot, so he might get to eat his soul soon. Craziness! I think I'll finish the series (or season) later. Only one episode left. Which means, I can finally watch Kuroshitsuji 2 next week.

National Trail Mix Day!

Trail mix is pretty awesome!Good for hiking, camping, or a snack at home.We've been making some homemade trail mix for the last few weeks. It's great. It's your fave nuts, fruits, M&M's, or anything else you want to throw in. Our most recent one's a nut blend, some M&M's, dried banana chips, craisins, and chocolate covered raisins. Good stuff.There's many different versions you can make. Interesting that it has its own day, though.


Today's been nasty outside. Cold, a downpour, and windy.They installed the toilet today!I can finally use my bathroom! No running downstairs to use it. It's a bit smaller than the other toilet was. But, it works pretty well!They hauled the other one away. I'm so happy about it!It's been 5 weeks since the old plumber had told us we needed a new one, we couldn't use that old one anymore, and he'd install the new one. A couple of weeks before that, I stopped using it because there was a leak coming out of the ceiling downstairs, close to where my bathroom is. So, it's been a long time!


I made chicken teriyaki last night. It was ok, but I used a little too much cornstarch, and it wasn't as saucy as it usually is.Had my new fancy rice with it. Was really tasty all in all.Tonight, I made Panko breaded Talapia (which was already made, just needed to cook), Beef Rice-A-Roni, and some peas. Plus, some of our 'famous' pink sauce for the fish.It's ketchup and mayo mixed together until they turn into a dark pink sauce. Awesome with fish! It was pretty easy. But, tasted so good!Not sure what I'll do tomorrow.


I posted a pic on dA: Seahorse It's not the clearest pic, but it's the best I could get of him. Played some more Irish tunes. It was pretty good, considering my reed was basically shot.I forgot I had another one until halfway through. 

In Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, sensei visits his brother, who's a doctor, and asks for meds. So, he immediately gives him something, without telling him what it is. He suddenly feels much better. He just gave him vitamins, but says that sometimes the Placebo Effect makes people feel like they're better. Sensei somehow comes up with a side effects to it. First, hives. He's given 'medicinal' candy, and starts hallucinating. So, eventually his brother performs 'fake' surgery on him, and he feels like he's a new person.

Finished the Yosenabe Udon (うどん寄せ鍋) or Udon Hot Pot/stew section, and begin the next one. お鍋のしめくくりに、凍ったままのうどんを入れ、約1分ほぐさず煮込んでください。(Onabe no shimekukuri ni, kootta mama no udon o ire, yaku 1(ichi) bun hogusazu nikonde kudasai.) While watching the pot, since the udon is frozen, boil well for about a minute, without loosening, please. 召しあがり:鍋でゆでます（1食分）(meshi agari: nabe de yudemasu [1 (ichi) shoku bun]) After dressing: boil (1 meal portion) in a nabe (or pot). 

In Kuroshitsuji, Ciel sent a letter and some baby toys to Aberlin's pregnant fiancée. (Since, Aberlin died.) Ciel and Sebastian go to the Paris Expo. Ciel sees the queen on top of the Eiffel tower. Her plan is to lead England into a bright world without filth. Apparently, her butler, Ash's an angel. It seems like all the angels in this series are rather evil. Kind of an interesting perspective. Eventually, in order to 'purify' the Phantomhive name, the Queen tells Ash to kill Ciel. Then, Ciel orders Sebastian to kill both the Queen and Ash. As soon as the Queen yells at Sebastian and Ash to stop fighting, Ciel tells Sebastian to stop. This gets him pissed or something, and that night gave a subtle farewell to Ciel. So, he's forced to find his way back to London. He's not having much luck, though. 

Since I'm going to use my original character Ravel for the next meme, I decided to draw his head. I actually was thinking of chibifying him, but that didn't work out.I'll have to simplify it even more if I want to try that again. I like how his head has turned out. Creepy, but interesting. He's supposed to look similar to a devil. But, in the story, he's not one, and is constantly being confused as one. He's kind of a made up demon. I guess, that makes it more fun.He has 'devil' horns and a tail, and his eyes are a bit creepy. That last part wasn't exactly planned, but it fits him so well, I'll keep them like that. I thought the horns would look horrible, but they just make him look more twisted. I drew the tail off to the side, and even that looked cool.His personality isn't evil, but he may look it. He's a bit of a pervert, but kind and thoughtful. (Strange.) I really don't know how he came about in my head a while ago, but he's interesting. 

deviantART faves: Oh Look...It's Iceland Learn Russian With Ivan Learn Russian With Ivan l.2 Character List Meme Denomic Rabbit I did not make these! First, a cute drawing of a chibi Iceland from Hetalia. Second, learning the Russian alphabet with Russia from Hetalia. (aka Ivan.) This reminded me of when I was learning it. It was only for a brief time in college, but I loved it. It was like a puzzle to me, then just a language. I might go back to it at some point, who knows? Third, is about learning Russian phrases, again with Russia. (By the same artist, obviously.) He talks a bit to China. They're phrases, like, Good Morning, and Thank You, etc. It's really very creative, the way this person is teaching it. I recognized these phrases in Russian, too. Fourth, a meme that helps people like me, who have so many characters, put them together on one sheet. Really cool! Will be an awesome tool for me. It has 40 slots, I might be able to fill in close to half of it. Would be good to have when/if I get more characters too. All of these characters are very important to me. Fifth, a drawing with a demonic rabbit holding a butcher knife. Cute, but creepy.

Kind of cute, and wasn't very successful with hiding itself.I also posted the meme: Emote Meme It was fun, and took a lot less time than I thought.Of course, that could be because I had Photoshop to speed it up at the end. I thank scribblin for making it.Gave me some much needed practice on emotions.I'm probably going to do a lot more memes. Have to pick another one and start it tomorrow. Probably one I kept telling an artist I would fill it out. I should make good on my word.I'm also, kind of on the side, drawing out all my characters' faces. Just want to have a clearer vision in my head of what they look like.So, fun stuff! 


I also wrote a lot more of chapter 12. I almost couldn't stop.I don't know what possesses me to come up with so many great ideas for the story. But, I like it.Makes it really fun to write. Played some Irish tunes. Overall, it wasn't too bad. In fact, some of them, I really got into. Others, need a little more work.

In Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, sensei says, "this lazy Japan that chooses using the process of elimination has left me in despair!" Kafuka's response is, "It's an excellent choosing method. Excellent way to learn how to handle risk management prudently." I agree with her on this one.Usually, her views are so skewed. Sensei changes his view on it after that. Next, was a 'Demonstration' parade or march. He says it's not a demonstration, it's a 'But' parade. In Japanese, demo (でも), can also mean 'but'. They played with it throughout most of this section. Sensei's in despair (again) about people being hesitant with their thoughts.

I finished a section (from the sanuki udon package) and I'm almost done with another. ゆであがったうどんを丼に盛り、つゆを注ぎ天かす:なると：ネギを添えればできあがり。(Yude agatta udon o donburi ni mori, tsuyu o sosogi tenkasu: naruto: negi o soereba dekiagari.) Cook the udon, put a helping in a bowl, pour the broth over it. You can garnish with tenkasu, naruto, and/or green onions. It's ready to eat. Tenkasu is crunchy bits of dough left over from cooking tempura. Naruto is actually a steamed fish-paste cake with a swirl in the middle, cut into slices, and usually in soups. Usually noodle type soups, like ramen or udon. Kind of fitting for the anime character Naruto.Next section is ざるうどん or Zaru Udon. It's chilled udon noodles. Usually, they're eaten during the summer. 

In Kuroshitsuji, it was very similar to the manga. They vaguely talked about the servants' pasts. (They're in the pic above. Left: Maylene. Center: Bard. Right: Finny.) Maylene, used to be an assassin, and is now a maid.Who has such a different personality then before she was found by Sebastian. Bard, used to be a military sargent and is now the chef. Sebastian found him as the only survivor on the battlefield. He was chosen because of his skills. Finny, was a test subject and was injected with something that made him astronomically stronger.He's the gardener. Sebastian saved him from being locked up forever. All he wished for was to go outside. Apparently, all these servants go into combat mode when the mansion's under attack. I think I'm nearing the end of this season. (I think, there's 2 episodes left.) Which means I'm almost to the new one: Kuroshitsuji 2. Can't wait!Although, I've heard it's a different story with different characters. The only thing that's the same is: there's a 'demon' butler, a young 'master', and more servants. Similar premise, but supposedly different?We'll see.


There's a Hadassah event tonight. We're going to have a potluck, our cantor's going to lead us in song, and some other stuff. Sounds like it will be fun!Not sure what we'll bring, though.
