National Popcorn Day!

Mood::iconeestiplz:

Yay for popcorn!:dummy:I usually have to be in the mood to eat it, though. Also, I think my fave variety is Kettle Corn.:iconawwwplz:Caramel and white cheddar tie at 2nd. ;) I feel if it doesn't have flavor added to it, it's almost like eating cardboard.:iconwtfukplz:Popcorn originated in Mexico. It's supposedly been around for more than 5,600 years. Microwavable popcorn was introduced in the 1980s. Kind of interesting. Yesterday was Peking Duck Day. Good stuff.:icondenmarkgrinplz:

Gotten back into practicing my clarinet everyday this week.:iconchibiamericaplz:Worked on editing the Hetalia Heritage meme in Photoshop. A lot of areas look much better now. I thought I wouldn't be able to fix a certain spot, but it ended up looking pretty good.:iconchibicanadaplz:

Finished drawing my original character Sin's head. I like how she turned out.:iconfrancisplz:I'm up to Phraetes (or Fray) now. He should be another fun one.:iconchibinitalyplz:

Since En Passant hasn't updated in a while, I went back to reading Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Just until the other one updates again. I like SZS, but it's very long-winded.:iconnorwayunimpressedplz:They talk a lot and use a lot of examples. Sometimes it gets a bit tiring. Had to skip a lot of chapters, since its been slow as well. It doesn't really matter with SZS, since there's no actual plot. Just day to day happenings for Nozomu and his students.:iconspainplz:

Got some more writing done on chapter 15. Also, got over my mini-writer's block. Wahoo!:iconlachoirplz:Wrote for a longer time than what I normally do. Which was really nice. Feels like I'm back on my game.:iconprussiaplz:We'll see how long that lasts...(Hopefully, a long time!)

There's been a crazy winter storm going on for the last couple of days.:iconchibichinaplz:Its snowed a lot today and yesterday. Been pretty cold and windy as well. They expected the snow to stop early this morning, but in some areas (like us) it hasn't.:iconkikuplz:A little further south of us, there's been sleet and major ice problems. Most school districts are closed in the region. So, my dad's been off this whole week. Monday, because of MLK Jr. Day. Tuesday there was a little snow, so there was a 2-hour delay, but after just 2 hours of being there, they cancelled the rest of the day. Wednesday and today because of more snow. And, just found out she has tomorrow off as well.

They've shut down some of the main highways too. Snowed about 4 inches here by the end of the day Wednesday. And, I bet we got at least another 4 inches today.:iconlietplz:That's a lot for this area. Lots of accidents, too. And a lot of people are without power. (I'm hoping our power stays on!:icongermanyplz:) It's just creating a mess. Will be pretty messy still when everything melts. Because of the snow storm, we decided not to go to the cafe, like we usually do on Wednesdays.
In Fairy Tail, it was revealed what Carla and Happy's real mission was. Apparently, they were sent out to find dragon slayers, bring them back, drain their magic, and finally execute them. It was all the Queen of Extalia's (a cat kingdom) plan. Which is who they're about to see. I feel really sorry for Carla and Happy.
666 Satan was just epic!:iconchibihungaryplz:A lot of twists in one chapter. Next one will be the 2nd to last chapter. The final chapter's probably going to be even crazier. I think this would be perfect as an anime, too.:iconchibipolandplz:I'm really going to miss it when it ends. Also, read more of Soy Source, Earth, and Host yesterday.
Naruto Shippuden was really cool!:iconheroamericaplz:Haven't seen them really get back to the story for a long time. So, this was a treat. Naruto conquered his own hatred, and now believes in himself more. With Bee's help and Yamato watching just in case things get out of hand; Naruto fights the Kyuubi within himself. Bee told him he can't conquer it without taking it's chakra. So, that was the start of an awesome fight. That's a huge Rasengan in the pic!:iconusaplz:Next episode should be very interesting, too. If he can conquer the Kyuubi, he can control it, and therefore will become much more powerful.

Rice Pudding Day

Mood::iconseychelles-plz:

I don't particularly like rice pudding, but for those who do, celebrate it!:iconchibinitalyplz:It's too sweet or the texture's too weird or something for me.:iconswissplz:It's also Tisha B'Av, or the 9th of Av. It's one of the saddest holidays on the Jewish calendar. Where we remember tragic events that have occurred on and around this date. It's a time of mourning. So, a lot of people fast, if they're really observant. I barely noticed it was today. That's kind of sadder.:iconotlplz:Read in an email that Birthright Next was going to have an event for it. It's almost funny that after such a sad holiday, we have what most people call the Jewish Valentine's Day.:iconheroamericaplz:

It's been really cold today. Averaging around 66 degrees. When are we going to have a decent stretch of summer? This is like Fall weather.:iconchibiromanoplz:
Haven't made something in so long...:iconkikuplz:Made this last night. It's chili and a cornbread muffin. It was my first time using the microwave cookbook. Used too small a casserole dish, and it ended up making a nice puddle in there.:iconromanoplz:Turned out really good though.:iconchibispainplz:Still have enough for another meal. The muffins were just a jiffy mix, but I also added honey along with the egg and milk. My parents do that too, and makes some awesome muffins! *w*
Apparently, Delicious Gakuin hasn't been subbed past episode 7, so I'm putting that on hold for now.:iconlietplz:Started the drama version of One Missed Call or Chakushin Ari. I've seen the movies. Both the Japanese and American ones. I for some reason, really like the story behind it.:iconfrancisplz:Even though it's pretty creepy.:iconchibichinaplz:Did not know until recently that there was a drama version. Kind of funny to me at first. Because, I wasn't sure how they can stretch it more than what the movie had. But, it seems a bit different. I like it, but it seems to have more mystery than horror this way. It's like a slightly different take. It's pretty scary enough to have your cell go off, you check it, and notice that the call was from the same number. And, it has the time you'll die. If you listen to the message you can hear your last moment before you die.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:See if I heard gurgling sounds, and I was at a pool, I'd quickly leave. (First victim in this didn't leave the pool...:iconraivisplz:) But, if I remember correctly, that doesn't usually work. I've actually seen sites online where you can download this creepy ringtone.

Gosick was a bit weird. It seems like Kujo solved part of the mystery this time. That's rare. If Victorique can't put the 'pieces' of info together, her father will lock her up. Her mother's watching from the sidelines, and Brian Roscoe (her mother's lover) 'nudged' Kujo in the right direction for gathering the clues. It kind of feel likes it's dragging. Only a few more episodes, so hopefully it'll pick up again.:iconnorwayunimpressedplz:

Played a lot of Irish tunes and a couple of Duke Ellington songs. I seem to be rushing some of the tunes lately. I have to remember to calm down, take a breath, and then go. Sometimes I just go, almost without thinking. Did better with cycling my breathing. Sounded pretty good, aside from the rushing with some.:iconchibiamericaplz:

In Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Sensei had too many herbs. It all started with him having a 7-herb porridge. In his crazy, almost seemed high, mind if you eat too many herbs you turn into an herbivore. And, your senses heighten, like the way herbivores can be very alert when looking out for carnivores. One of the funniest and most trippiest chapters.:iconspainplz:Well, I'm now caught up to the updates of this series, too. Which means until the next chapter's out, I get to start another manga. Wahoo!:dummy:So many new things lately.:iconchibihungaryplz:

Still working on a sentence from the You Maga article on stress relief exercises. It's quite a long sentence, but I'm almost through with it. Soon, I can move on to the 3rd and final step in the exercise. Yay!:la:

Singing Songs

Mood::iconchibicanadaplz:

Or, Uta Utai. An original song sung by the Kaito Vocaloid. (They do a lot of covers.) A really pretty, and amazing sounding song.:iconchibihungaryplz:Shows his range well. Doesn't sound too computer-like either. I like when they get his voice to sound more 'human'. Someone said in the comments for the vid about the lyrics, that it's Vocaloid in a nutshell. I agree.:iconchibinitalyplz:Well, here's the vid:

It actually got a bit warm yesterday. Even though it looked freezing out. Weird. It's doing pretty much the same thing today. Parents left a little later than they expected yesterday. Hope things are going well at the retreat. I got a surprising amount of stuff done yesterday. Wahoo!:dummy:

I managed to work on things like my character sheets, building descriptions, editing of Alliance, and planning the next oc face I'll be working on. All related to my story.:la:Finished 'book 1' of Dune. Really part 1 of the first book. Next 'book' is Muad'Dib. I think I might move on to another book, and once I'm finished with that, go back to 'book 2'. That way I'll get to read something that feels 'fresher'. I think at about 200 pages it's ok to stop for now.:iconheroamericaplz:Next one on my list's Timeline. If I remember correctly, it sounded like it'll be awesome. I think I've seen the movie, and it was pretty good. They say the original book versions are usually better, so that should be fun.:iconus-xdplz:

Started writing out and translating the contents page of the June edition of You Maga. Thought it'd be interesting. And, it is so far. Afterschool Charisma finally had the next chapter up!:iconfrancisplz:Only took me like 5 minutes to read it though. Waited a whole month for that.:iconromanoplz:Oh, well. Good thing I'm reading other mangas in between updates.

Went through another cookbook. The way it was laid out, was really heard to read. But, I found some things. It's an American/Canadian cooking club cookbook compilation of all it's members' submitted recipes. Really old, too. Like from early 70s I think. So, they're recipes are worded really oddly.:iconchibijapanplz:Ate the leftover sausage and sweet pepper thing I made a while back and had it with pasta for last night's dinner. There's still a ton of pasta leftover, since I made the whole package, and obviously only had a serving. I'm not sure what I'll have tonight, though.:iconkikuplz:Parents are coming home late, so they're eating out.

Delicious Gakuin was bizarre, yet hilarious. I kind feel sorry for them. Rouma's got to be one of the weirdest characters. He likes to eat onions raw.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:I think he likes to eat anything raw, actually. He always carries an old dirty frying pan, and has a name for it.

Played my clarinet for an hour again! Yay!:iconyayhanatamagoplz:I definitely feel more 'into' it when I play for that long. And, I'm improving quickly. Played some Mozart and Beatles tunes. The Beatles book is really oddly written. Went over chirps. It's been a long time since I've stopped and worked on them. They're faster than trills, so they're a lot more difficult. I'm also going over my really high notes. It's not that I've forgotten how to do these things, it's just I've been skipping over them for a long time.:iconusaplz:So, I'm a little rusty. If I keep practicing them, I'll be caught up to what I was like before.
In Gosick, Victorique's forced to go to class. She calls Avril a farting newt, after Avril taunted her. Later, Avril calls her a frilly witch. Kind of funny.:iconsleepygreeceplz:Leviathan's been long dead, and was a phony alchemist. He was a good magician, though. Conveniently, another magician shows up at the clock tower where Victorique's investigating. He's been after her for a while, but couldn't do anything at the clock tower because the maintenance guy popped in. This magician is also in the opening theme. Where he eventually kidnaps her. Wonder if that comes true?:iconwtfukplz:
In Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, sensei talked about the Ringelmann effect. It's when many people work together, the amount of work each individual does decreases. People end up slacking off. Example, they discovered over 6000 marine species and you care less and less about new ones. Another, when the page number's big, you start skimming. Next, the students were playing tug-of-war, with sensei being the one tugged in both directions. The students were yelling he belongs to us. It was about unfair decisions.
