Crepes are awesome! *q* Especially with some Nutella. The first time I made a crepe was in my high school French class. It was fun. It's also Groundhog Day. Can't believe Tu B'Shevat's coming up so quick! (It's next week.) Turns out that we're having the 'seder' at home. So far only 1 person's invited. No one else has shown an interest in it this year.
Sad, because it's kind of fun. It's a New Year for the Trees, so we eat a lot of fruit and nuts.
This is my wallpaper for this month. (Took a while to decide on one this time...
) It's Gaia themed this time. Saw some interesting wallpapers there, so you might see more soon.
My Jewish calendar has some cool looking Torah crowns. Oldest one being from 1775. The herb calendar has lavender in the shape of hearts for this month. I'm not too fond of lavender. At least the smell, don't think I've tried it in a dish before, though.

Some are important causes, some are to make you think and appreciate things you may take for granted, and some are just for fun. Interesting holidays this month.

Started a new Jdrama called Hungry. Kind of a fun one. It's also one of the first shows that I've started while it's currently airing. I'm only a couple of weeks behind. Basically, it's about a rock musician, Eisuke, who gave up his music dreams to take over his family's French restaurant. (He wasn't very successful with his band anyways.) He used to be so into cooking, until he heard rock music. The old building was sold to someone who renamed it. So, he took the sign with the old name, and decided to use a warehouse that the family still owned as the new place for the restaurant. It's called Le Petit Chou. After cleaning the place up a bit, he gets his former band members to help him. The man who bought the original building, Tokio, feels Eisuke's a rival, knowing his skills as a chef.
I was sick all day on Tuesday.
It's like I had constant stomach cramps and headaches. Couldn't make dinner and didn't feel like having much. So, I just had oatmeal with raisins and some ice cream for dessert.
Finished En Passant. Haven't completed too many mangas. Added a list of the ones I have finished off to the side. (I really liked Fruits Basket and Rust Blaster, as well as En Passant and 666 Satan. Don't remember much about Mugen Spiral.
) Most of the mangas I've read either don't have all the chapters or are on-going. This ended in a certain way, I think, that it could have kept going. It was a really good series. Would be interesting in anime form too.
Finished O-Parts Hunter or 666 Satan yesterday. Really interesting and complicated story. Not sure if I like the ending...
But, it's kind of cool Ball and Mei got together. Their kids were cute. I don't like that Jio and the other 'ingredients' left Earth to take Shin to a desolate uninhabited planet, and was never heard from again. They saved the world at least.
Started translating a horoscope article in You Maga that I wrote out a while ago. Did some more editing of the heritage meme in Photoshop.
In Fairy Tail, there was some cool and clever fights. Specifically Gray's. Lucy was cooler than normal after Virgo gave her an 'Astral Whip'. She was able to manipulate it awesomely! Lucy, Gray, and Natsu won their battles. Don't know about Erza yet. I think Gajeel will 'tame' Lilly and become his 'cat'. Almost all Dragon Slayers have an 'Exceed' or cat, and he feels left out. It'd be cool if that happens.
Managed to get a little more playing done. Hard when you're not feeling good. Went back to transposing Irish tunes yesterday at the cafe. Someone gave me a traditional wool hat from Scotland, that has my family's colors. It was cool!

I usually have to be in the mood to eat it, though. Also, I think my fave variety is Kettle Corn.
Caramel and white cheddar tie at 2nd. ;) I feel if it doesn't have flavor added to it, it's almost like eating cardboard.Popcorn originated in Mexico. It's supposedly been around for more than 5,600 years. Microwavable popcorn was introduced in the 1980s. Kind of interesting. Yesterday was Peking Duck Day. Good stuff.
Gotten back into practicing my clarinet everyday this week.
Worked on editing the Hetalia Heritage meme in Photoshop. A lot of areas look much better now. I thought I wouldn't be able to fix a certain spot, but it ended up looking pretty good.
Finished drawing my original character Sin's head. I like how she turned out.
I'm up to Phraetes (or Fray) now. He should be another fun one.
Since En Passant hasn't updated in a while, I went back to reading Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Just until the other one updates again. I like SZS, but it's very long-winded.
They talk a lot and use a lot of examples. Sometimes it gets a bit tiring. Had to skip a lot of chapters, since its been slow as well. It doesn't really matter with SZS, since there's no actual plot. Just day to day happenings for Nozomu and his students.
Got some more writing done on chapter 15. Also, got over my mini-writer's block. Wahoo!
Wrote for a longer time than what I normally do. Which was really nice. Feels like I'm back on my game.
We'll see how long that lasts...(Hopefully, a long time!)
There's been a crazy winter storm going on for the last couple of days.
Its snowed a lot today and yesterday. Been pretty cold and windy as well. They expected the snow to stop early this morning, but in some areas (like us) it hasn't.A little further south of us, there's been sleet and major ice problems. Most school districts are closed in the region. So, my dad's been off this whole week. Monday, because of MLK Jr. Day. Tuesday there was a little snow, so there was a 2-hour delay, but after just 2 hours of being there, they cancelled the rest of the day. Wednesday and today because of more snow. And, just found out she has tomorrow off as well.
They've shut down some of the main highways too. Snowed about 4 inches here by the end of the day Wednesday. And, I bet we got at least another 4 inches today.That's a lot for this area. Lots of accidents, too. And a lot of people are without power. (I'm hoping our power stays on!
) It's just creating a mess. Will be pretty messy still when everything melts. Because of the snow storm, we decided not to go to the cafe, like we usually do on Wednesdays.
In Fairy Tail, it was revealed what Carla and Happy's real mission was. Apparently, they were sent out to find dragon slayers, bring them back, drain their magic, and finally execute them. It was all the Queen of Extalia's (a cat kingdom) plan. Which is who they're about to see. I feel really sorry for Carla and Happy.
666 Satan was just epic!A lot of twists in one chapter. Next one will be the 2nd to last chapter. The final chapter's probably going to be even crazier. I think this would be perfect as an anime, too.
I'm really going to miss it when it ends. Also, read more of Soy Source, Earth, and Host yesterday.
Naruto Shippuden was really cool!Haven't seen them really get back to the story for a long time. So, this was a treat. Naruto conquered his own hatred, and now believes in himself more. With Bee's help and Yamato watching just in case things get out of hand; Naruto fights the Kyuubi within himself. Bee told him he can't conquer it without taking it's chakra. So, that was the start of an awesome fight. That's a huge Rasengan in the pic!Next episode should be very interesting, too. If he can conquer the Kyuubi, he can control it, and therefore will become much more powerful.

Most chicken curries are really good. (Actually, I like curry in general. Not just with chicken.) Interesting to have a day for it.
Not feeling too good today.
Throat's scratchy, can't breathe too well through my nose, nose is runny, and my stomach hurts. Yay!
I feel like just eating comfort food, and lazing around in bed all day. I can do the comfort food thing, but I'm definitely not going back to bed!
Still have stuff to do. Only really bad part of this is that I'm helping out my mom during the day. She has cancer, so I have to be extra careful when this happens. Oh joy of joys!
Went to the lunch on Tuesday that was supposed to have a few Hadassah members show up. Our president, and a few other members, cancelled almost last minute. We found out that Ichizen, the place we were going to eat at, had moved to another location only 2 days before that.Good thing we bumped into another member just as we were pulling up to Ichizen, and we agreed to eat at Pho T&N instead. We really like this place, plus it's not too bad price-wise. It was just the 3 of us. But, it was nice. The other member was the one that we were going to say goodbye to just before she went to Cuba. She plans to meet the Jewish community there. At least Mom and I were there to talk about it, and say goodbye. She'll call us when she gets back. I had their chicken coconut curry, by the way. It's become a fave of mine. So good!
Actually managed to play my clarinet the last couple of days. I don't think I will today. Somehow, not being able to breathe normally, and my stomach hurting, doesn't sound like a good idea with playing my clarinet.
I don't particularly like what Ruby's wearing in the pic. But, she hasn't had time to find real clothes since she was found. She just ripped apart something extra that another person had at the time. (She was locked away in a tank in her angel form. Which was like a fish. So, she didn't have clothes when she came out and transformed back.) Anyways, Ruby found her father that she thought had died at some point. He's the leader of Zenom. (One of the bad guy organizations.) Everyone's, except Jio's, nuclei was taken. (Although, I thought Ruby still had her's,too...) Jio has the most powerful recipe/nuclei (being Satan), so both Stea and Zenom have been disparately trying to catch him. I think he'll take Zenom down, and then Stea. He wants to conquer the world still, and that might help him meet that goal.
Finished reading the December issue of You Maga at the cafe. Started reading the newest issue of Soy Source, and read more of Earth and Host. Earth has been hilarious, and Host seems to be really picking up. Also, got 3 shower gel scents from Avon when we got home yesterday. One that I normally get which is pomegranate and mango. (Really nice!) And, the other's I haven't tried before: vanilla and cherry blossom. Tried the vanilla, and I really like it too!Almost smells like I put frosting on.Not sure about the cherry blossom one yet. Kind of fun to mix it up a bit. (Been a long time since I've had my normal soap, so this is really nice!)
In Naruto Shippuden, Motoi (on the left) talked about how he once tried to kill Killer Bee (on the right). Just because he had a profound hatred for the Hachibi (8 tails. Which looks like a bull/octopus hybrid) who killed his father, and was sealed inside Bee. Naruto realized he had to confront his dark side, in order to become stronger and control his Kyuubi (9 tails. A 9-tailed fox) better. Turned out Killer Bee only remembers his friendship with Motoi when they were younger. And, still considers him a good friend. Motoi was scared to tell Bee about how he tried to kill him, so when he did, he was surprised by Bee's reaction. Kind of like he's saying 'no harm done, it's all good'. I really like Killer Bee's character. His attitude towards things is great. Although, his rapping was sometimes annoying at first. Kind of grows on you after a while. He seems to be a more complicated character than he let's on.
