Wow! It's already the 6th day!
Only 2 more days. It's been a bit difficult with making dinner during it, since my shoulder's not too good right now. There aren't too many 'easy' things I can make.
(Like from a box or something. With little prep or mixing.) We made it to both seders. I personally liked the first night's more than the potluck the second night. It was more organized, better food, better seating (although, we were still crammed in to the tables, elbow to elbow), and seemed more friendly. The only thing I really had a problem with was the rabbi's singing (I usually don't like it, anyways). Someone brought a non-passover cake for a dessert. But, that was quickly taken away. I was curious about it, so I'm glad they took it away before I grabbed a slice.
Started watching Eden of the East on Sunday. (Code Geass seemed a little too weird for me.
) On November 22, 2010 ten missiles strike Japan. The terrorist attack, later called 'Careless Monday', doesn't have any apparent victims, and is forgotten by almost everyone. 3 months later, Saki Morimi goes to the USA on her graduation trip. Just when she's in front of the White House, she gets into some trouble (trying to throw coins into the fountain from the gate, security wasn't sure what she was throwing), a naked man (who's also from Japan) with just a cell phone and a gun intervenes and saves her. This man, who calls himself Akira Takizawa is full of mysteries. He has amnesia. His phone is charged with a ton of digital money. He may have something to do with the terrorist attack, or some sort of game. Don't really know yet. It's interesting so far.
Watched the finale of Doctors. It was ok. Tied things up a little too neatly, and everyone at the hospital changed for the better. Dropped 11 Nin mo Iru for now. Some day when the rest of it is subbed, I might finish it. Kind of a shame, since it has become one of my faves. Watched the finale of Hungry. It definitely could go on for another season. I'm glad that they were able to keep the restaurant, and all of them came back to work there. They left a couple of things open. It was a really good show.
Finished Tektek-ing my characters from Alliance. Some look really awesome!
Finally posted the filled out Hetalia Heritage Meme to dA! I'm surprised I got 10 faves on it in one day!
Lots of views too! Any faves is great to me, so it makes me happy.
I finally fixed the very first paragraph of my story, Alliance. It was bothering me for a while. I couldn't figure it out, but it sounded really awkward.
I plan to get back into writing everyday. Otherwise, I may never finish this first novel.
Even if I just edit for that time I set aside, it'd be great. I'm almost done with chapter 15, by the way. I have a lot of ideas for chapter 16. But, I have to finish this first...
Started watching Acchi Kocchi or Place to Place on Monday. The serious minded Tsumiki and the pure-hearted Io feel they never want to be parted, and yet they haven't fallen in love yet. More than friends but not lovers, they develop an awkward quasi-romance. (That's how they describe it on wikipedia and anime news network.) This is such a cute, yet funny anime!
Tsumiki has cat ears that pop up when she's startled, excited, etc. Their friends have their own quirks, as well.
Went to Mom's appointment for a CT scan on Monday. I was able to ask for a CD of my images from the bone scan. The last couple of images were really cool! Talked to a nice guy at the radiology department, who really helped us. He said that most people have the same complaints about the orthopedist that I had. Nice to know I'm not the only one who felt this way.
He said it's ok to switch to someone else. Today, I have a phone appointment with my primary care doctor about what to do next. Someone has suggested that I have an MRI done. But, I have to verify that with him. Or he may order a different test. I don't know.
On top of this, I have to figure out what to do to keep my insurance. 2 years ago, they confirmed that I qualified as a dependent on my parents' coverage, because according to them I was disabled. So, now I have to 'prove' I still am. I still have most of the same stuff going on, so I guess it's just a matter of showing my records and getting the ok from either my new therapist, or new psychiatrist, or even my primary care doctor. It just piles on more stress that I don't need on me. (Plus, only have until June to get this settled, isn't helping much...
)
Made meatloaf for the first time on Monday! (Of course with using matzah meal instead of flour.) Made potato kugel and peas with it. Made some matzah brei Tuesday night. Added some dried onions, garlic, and a little salt and pepper. It was really good!
Fairy Tail has a new opening and ending theme. Kind of interesting. Tried to watch Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos on Tuesday, but I'm not sure about it. It may be too 'ecchi' for me.
The idea is interesting, and I like her personality, though. I'll give it one more episode next week, then I'll make a decision about it.
deviantART faves: My Best Friend Griff You Don't Even Know I did not make these! First, another cool drawing by an artist I watch. It's of a 'pet' griffin named Griff, and his owner Tony. Second, a hilarious yet somewhat embarrassing comic based on a real life experience by another artist I watch.

Sung by Ella Fitzgerald. It was originally written by Arthur Hamilton, for Ella Fitzgerald to sing in a 1920s film, Pete Kelly's Blues, but it was dropped. The first release was by actress/singer Julie London in 1955. Fitzgerald released a recording of the song in 1961. Ever since then its been covered by many artists. An interesting song. This is one of the songs in my newest clarinet jazz book. It's really fun to play.
Mom came home really late last night. (Like 1am.) She got up at about 4:45pm today. Understandable, because of the time difference, running around the airports, her meds, etc. Sounds like she had a good time, though.
Shoulder's still bothering me. But, it does feel a bit better with all that ibuprofen. (Although, I don't feel much of a difference between the dose I'm taking and half of that. I think I'll start taking half of it now.) It's hard to sleep with whatever I have. I move to my left side, and it's like someone is sawing my arm off. I lay flat, and my shoulder blade feels like it's crumbling. I can't always stay on my right side!
Anyways, I had such a hard time last night. I probably would have been fine to get up 'naturally' at 5am. Even though I had such a hard time, I didn't hear my parents come in. Well, soon I'll be able to make an appointment for at least my primary care doctor. One of his nurses emailed me about doing the follow-up. Saying stuff like I hope you're feeling better, and that they figured it out. So, she probably only knew that I went to urgent care, not what it was about. Still nice to have them email me.
Hungry's been hilarious. I like what Eisuke's trying to do with the restaurant. It has a much more warm, friendly, and 'family' feel, than Gasterea. He lost a bet with the other restaurant's owner. Which was if he could prove that he has the same taste as his mother's, he can keep the name Le Petit Chou. The other owner loved the taste, but said it was nothing compared to hers. So, he took the name. I think it's almost better this way. He can make a name for himself, instead of just protecting his mother's restaurant. One of the employees at Gasterea once worked for his mother. He had kept the recipe book Eisuke's mother had made for Eisuke. He finally got enough nerve to give it to Eisuke. After looking through it, he felt reinvigorated, and is going to expand the menu. For some reason, I love dramas about food.
Tried to look for another drama, but didn't find anything that appealed to me. Maybe next week.
Phi Brain's getting weird. A lot of angst right now. I liked when it was just about solving puzzles. Not sure if I'm liking the way it's playing out. I read that there's going to be another season. Well, if they finally get out of this dreary/angst soon, I might keep watching into the next season. But, if it keeps up, I'm dropping it.
I understand you need a little bit of that for a good story, but it's to the point now where it feels like it's dragging and too depressing.
In Kuzumoto-san Chi no Yonkyoudai, they showed a little background on the youngest sibling. His power has to do with words. Whatever he says, he can sway his opponent with. Like if he says sleep, they'll fall asleep. If he says hate, they'll hate something. If he says do your best, they'll persevere, etc. But, since his words are so powerful, he has a problem with speaking. He thinks so much about what he should say, that he doesn't end up saying anything. But, he grew a bit in this chapter, thanks to Sora, and will try to speak his mind from now on. I really like Mayo's character. Very interesting.
I'm basically done with editing the Hetalia heritage meme in Photoshop.
I just need to put my signature somewhere, and then paste the drawing to the actual meme. Then, I can finally post it on dA! Also, worked a little more on my dragon drawing. Specifically, the scales. I like how it's turning out. Didn't play my clarinet, because I didn't want to wake Mom, and I didn't want to lug everything downstairs. (Which is what I usually do when she's still asleep.) But, hopefully tomorrow I'll get to it. Almost done with chapter 15 of Alliance. Yay! Already have lots of ideas for the next chapter. Kind of hard when you're still on this one.
deviantART fave: It's a trap! I did not make this! Another cute/funny shirt design from an artist I watch.

Crepes are awesome! *q* Especially with some Nutella. The first time I made a crepe was in my high school French class. It was fun. It's also Groundhog Day. Can't believe Tu B'Shevat's coming up so quick! (It's next week.) Turns out that we're having the 'seder' at home. So far only 1 person's invited. No one else has shown an interest in it this year.
Sad, because it's kind of fun. It's a New Year for the Trees, so we eat a lot of fruit and nuts.
This is my wallpaper for this month. (Took a while to decide on one this time...
) It's Gaia themed this time. Saw some interesting wallpapers there, so you might see more soon.
My Jewish calendar has some cool looking Torah crowns. Oldest one being from 1775. The herb calendar has lavender in the shape of hearts for this month. I'm not too fond of lavender. At least the smell, don't think I've tried it in a dish before, though.
Here's the month-long holidays: American Heart Month, Avocado and Banana Month, Beans (Dried and Fresh) Month, National African American History Month, National Bird Feeding Month, National Cherry Month, National Hot Breakfast Month, Berry Fresh Month, Canned Food Month, Potato Lover's Month. Some are important causes, some are to make you think and appreciate things you may take for granted, and some are just for fun. Interesting holidays this month.
I love cherries and potatoes!
Cool to have a month devoted to both of them.
Started a new Jdrama called Hungry. Kind of a fun one. It's also one of the first shows that I've started while it's currently airing. I'm only a couple of weeks behind. Basically, it's about a rock musician, Eisuke, who gave up his music dreams to take over his family's French restaurant. (He wasn't very successful with his band anyways.) He used to be so into cooking, until he heard rock music. The old building was sold to someone who renamed it. So, he took the sign with the old name, and decided to use a warehouse that the family still owned as the new place for the restaurant. It's called Le Petit Chou. After cleaning the place up a bit, he gets his former band members to help him. The man who bought the original building, Tokio, feels Eisuke's a rival, knowing his skills as a chef.
I was sick all day on Tuesday.
It's like I had constant stomach cramps and headaches. Couldn't make dinner and didn't feel like having much. So, I just had oatmeal with raisins and some ice cream for dessert.
Finished En Passant. Haven't completed too many mangas. Added a list of the ones I have finished off to the side. (I really liked Fruits Basket and Rust Blaster, as well as En Passant and 666 Satan. Don't remember much about Mugen Spiral.
) Most of the mangas I've read either don't have all the chapters or are on-going. This ended in a certain way, I think, that it could have kept going. It was a really good series. Would be interesting in anime form too.
Finished O-Parts Hunter or 666 Satan yesterday. Really interesting and complicated story. Not sure if I like the ending...
But, it's kind of cool Ball and Mei got together. Their kids were cute. I don't like that Jio and the other 'ingredients' left Earth to take Shin to a desolate uninhabited planet, and was never heard from again. They saved the world at least.
Started translating a horoscope article in You Maga that I wrote out a while ago. Did some more editing of the heritage meme in Photoshop.
In Fairy Tail, there was some cool and clever fights. Specifically Gray's. Lucy was cooler than normal after Virgo gave her an 'Astral Whip'. She was able to manipulate it awesomely! Lucy, Gray, and Natsu won their battles. Don't know about Erza yet. I think Gajeel will 'tame' Lilly and become his 'cat'. Almost all Dragon Slayers have an 'Exceed' or cat, and he feels left out. It'd be cool if that happens.
Managed to get a little more playing done. Hard when you're not feeling good. Went back to transposing Irish tunes yesterday at the cafe. Someone gave me a traditional wool hat from Scotland, that has my family's colors. It was cool!
deviantART faves: Dragon Forest Cabin Waiting I did not make these! The first 2 are paintings from an artist I watch. She's amazing! The last one's from another artist I watch. He does some pretty amazing stuff too. This time it's a simple drawing of a girl waiting.
