I can't believe tomorrow's the start of another year!At least, the secular year. It's funny because I get to celebrate at least a couple different 'New Year's'.I hope everyone has a happy and awesome New Year's! We're going to a friend's place to celebrate. We'll nosh on some snacks, talk, play games all night long. Then, there's the New Year's fireworks show on TV at the Space Needle. That's always fun to watch.
We just went to the market to get stuff for it. Got some sushi, potato chips, 2 different dips, pickled herring, chocolate bridge mix, champagne, and more. Everything looks so tasty!I might actually have some of the champagne. (I'm not supposed to have alcohol because of the meds. But, it's a holiday.) Since we'll probably eat a lot tonight, we got some light things for dinner. I got a bean, cheese, and rice burrito. These burritos have been staring at me for a long time, and I'm curious, so I'll try it.They also put salsa inside. It looks very filling. Hope it doesn't make me too full. Since it's Shabbat we got our Challah. They didn't slice it up this time, thank goodness! It was really weird last week. It's meant to be pulled a part. If you're going to cut it, do it at the table, and make thick pieces. It's more of a community thing if everybody pulls off pieces.
I wrote a bit more of chapter 12. The vamps in my story seem, at least to me, a bit...'unique'. I guess when I finally post this chapter, you'll see what I mean. Makes it even more fun. Caught up on Naruto Shippuden. They're still not continuing the story yet.Read somewhere that they might not until around the last week of January and beginning of February. Great! The time I'll be gone. That's ok.
In Dear, Carol, Subaru, and Kurenai join the Punitive Squad to help out. They think they're too much like pretty boys, that they won't be able to handle anything. Especially, Carol. But, he shows them how tough they can be without trying. Chiruha collapses. But, it turns out it was just from taste-testing the alcoholic eggnog she made for everyone. She became drunk. Subaru tries to become friends with Kisara. They end up being a little more friendly, but Kisara still doesn't trust him. The Punitive Squad holds a huge welcome party. They all have fun, and they become closer as friends. Apparently, Ume chooses Komomo's clothes. And, he won't spit out men's clothes, much to Subaru's disappointment. He spits out frilly, lacey, and fancy type clothes. They go to see where he gets them. He steals from a specific store. Gulps down normal plain looking clothes, and somehow changes them into something he likes in his stomach. They shake him and lots of different outfits come out. I love this little guy!
Watched the Joker special. It wasn't as great as I thought it would be.Kind of slow, and mostly having a lot of flashbacks. I did like that they showed Date's first 'job' in the Joker project. And, they gave some background on why he goes to the same ramen restaurant just before he punishes the criminals. Also, he's thinking of investigating the organization behind Joker. I loved how this show made you really feel for the victims and their families.
I tried to start a new drama yesterday. But, I wasn't very lucky. There was one where I read really good reviews, and it won various awards. But, it was one of the worst ones I've seen. Kind of sad. Hopefully, today I'll find something.
deviantART fave: Lazy Sunday Morning I did not make this! Kind of a cute nekotalia (Cat version of the nations) drawing. With Nekotalia (Italy), Germouser (Germany), and Japaneko (Japan) in different windows. There's one window with just a tomato. Suggesting that maybe there was either a Spain cat or a Romano cat?

An amazing live performance of Kingyo Hanabi (Goldfish Fireworks) by Ai Otsuka:
Wow! My type of holiday. It's true, almost anything covered in chocolate tastes better. I banged up my elbow really badly last night. So much so, there's a huge red bruise welling up. So, on top of that, feeling sick to my stomach, hearing the cats fight at least once last night, I had a very hard time sleeping. So, I got up late. I think I needed it.
I decided to test out my new rice cooker again.Last time I followed their directions exactly, but the rice came out too crunchy. So, I added a little more water this time, and it came out much better. Still a tad crunchy, so next time I need to add more water. I had tuna, mayo, chopped up sweet gherkin pickles, olive oil, soy sauce, 7-spice, and the rice all mixed together for lunch. It was much better than I thought. Really tasty!I might make it again. That's the joy of experimenting with food.
I ordered my cell phone for my Israel trip. They let you rent it for free in Israel, from when you arrive at the airport until when you depart. All incoming calls are free. If I call someone who's in Israel it's 19 cents a minute, and if I call someone hear in the US it's 39 cents a minute. Not too bad. I think.Apparently, it comes with a headset.
I started Bloody Monday 2. It's awesome! This episode was more like a movie. I think this may be better than last season.Tough to say, because last season was so great. Aoi dies while Fujimaru saved Tokyo from a hydrogen bomb. There's a new hacker called Hornet, and he might be better than Falcon. Also, there's a new terrorist organization that seems more ruthless. They want to 'rebuild' Japan. They also want J killed. He's suffering from radiation poisoning. They dyed his hair silver, I guess to show his 'condition'? Someone's impersonating Maya and looking for Fujimaru. The real one is trying to help him and his friends. Never know her true intentions though. She could be planning something. It was really well acted, yet again. Oh, and the organization turned a plane full of passengers into a missile, after they planted the hydrogen bomb in one of the seats. Kirishima and J were on it. But, luckily, Fujimaru saved everyone. Like in the last second.
I also did my nails. Haven't done them in weeks.I don't know why, but it always calms me down and boosts my confidence. Kind of strange, but I really needed it.I watched Joker. It's getting really intense and suspenseful!I wondered why they called it Joker. Now, I kind of know why. But, we don't know who he is yet.Kudo was stabbed by him, and he kept saying stuff like: "I thought I could believe in you! You were right by side! Why?" But, they never showed who it was, and he didn't say his name. I thought for a while it would be someone like the chief, but he was secretly investigating what was going on for years. So, it's not him. He just didn't want to see any more people killed. Well, next week, in the finale, I'll get to find out who 'he' is.Then, there's a special I'll watch the following week. I don't know what they would have in the 'special', but I guess I'll find out.
deviantART faves: Hot ChocolateCookies Break Out...Snow Mountain I did not make these! First, I want this type of hot chocolate! It looks so good! Second, a funny pic of cookies 'breaking out'. Third, an amazing watercolor from an artist I watch. It was for her art project. It's so different, and maybe better, than the rest of her pieces.

A live performance of Get Started by Monkey Majik:
It's an annual world record attempt for highest number of toppling dominoes. Dominoes are cool!Whether you're playing the actual game, or toppling them over in patterns. I've seen some pretty elaborate ones, that seem to go on forever.
It's been cold and dark today. I got up late yesterday (and today), and tried to catch up on things. So, I didn't have time to post. The night before yesterday, Sammy kept sneezing, and tried to cuddle closer to my legs. I'm ok with the cuddling close to me, but when I'm on my side and the blood flow stops, and I have to turn over, I don't want to squish her.Becomes a bit uncomfortable. Then, last night she snored really loudly. It was cute, but I needed to sleep. And, out of no where, she started making the same heaving stuffed up nose sound she did earlier in the day. It usually ends up with her throwing up big time. So, I immediately grabbed her and put her on the ground. She didn't throw up, so I felt a bit guilty. Then, the whole night she just slept next to my bed. Sad. But, easier for me to sleep.
She's also had incredibly pungent waste (trying to put it nicely) in the litter box. Such a horrible smell, I feel like throwing up when I scoop the box. I hope it's just the food change, and (possible) kennel cough that's making her this way.She sees the vet on Monday, so we'll see. She's still a very sweet cat. Tasha's actually interacting with her, but still hisses and pulls her ears back. Sammy is constantly trying to get her to play.
Joker's getting even more interesting. A lot of twists happened in this episode. Bloody Monday just keeps getting better and better. One of Fujimaru's friends, Hide, may be infected with the virus. Which means all his other friends who are in hiding with him, may get it too. He's hiding, because someone framed him for murder. Also, there's a new head of THIRD-i. He may be connected with J and the terrorists. Bad news for them. And that guy who kept tapping his fingers while he was standing barefoot in his cell, is the true or original ringleader of the group. His 'tapping' is really morse code, that the group can hear through the floor boards and out from a transmitter directly outside the jail. They follow his orders through it. Kind of cool.If he had shoes on, it would muffle the sound.
I caught up on Naruto Shippuden. Again, both episodes were fillers.I liked the one with Tenten, though. It was kind of cool. But, had nothing to do with the current storyline. The other one was just plain weird. About an ostrich who learned ninja techniques and taught it to his new animal friends at a preserve. The ostrich can speak too. Totally worthless episode.I'm wondering when these flashbacks/fillers will end? I think they've been going on for almost 2 months now. Get back to the story!
That sentence I was working on from the North American Post, is much longer than I expected.Almost like that one article is just 2 short and 1 very long sentences. Of course, they break it up by commas and parentheses, but it's still a bit weird. In English, if it's too long a sentence, it bugs me to no end.I wonder if it's normal for them? Something I'll have to get used to, then. The article in You Maga has been very interesting. They seem to actually have normal lengths for their sentences. It's about someone from Japan that came to America, and what they thought about its 'sushi culture'. He opened up a sushi restaurant and got to see it first hand. He was surprised about how different, yet similar it was to sushi back in Japan.
I think I'm done with the non-colored version of the Savory slot. Started working on a colored version. Finally found his correct skin tone. He's supposed to have a slightly tanned look. It was really hard to find that tone. I'm a bit proud of myself. He's looking even better in the colored version. Maybe I'll do both versions?I know that will take a little more time, but it may be interesting to compare. I might post which ever looks better on dA.
deviantART fave: Flank Steak with Chimichurri I did not make this! This looks so good! Perfect angle, too. By the way, I might post an old pic of Tasha on dA on Monday. I just haven't posted anything in a while.
