It was another slightly warmer day than expected. It's close to 70 degrees right now. Perfect temp. Seems like it'll be cool enough for a walk after dinner. I, again, didn't get to my after dinner walk yesterday. It was too warm out. Plus, we went out late to get dessert.
Dad got a few Xfinity internet pods. They help with spreading the connection to other parts of the house. Supposedly, my room had the weakest signal. Yay! It was pretty bad really anywhere upstairs. Whenever I wanted to watch something, I switched off the wifi on my phone, which wasn't the best solution. Now there's a pod in my room, near the kitchen, and I think in my mom's office. Even though there's one in my room, my desktop first connected with the one in the kitchen...I guess that pod is straight down from my desktop. Shorter distance that way? The connection has been much better than usual today. So, it's working. I thought the difficulty with connecting to the internet was my desktop, not that there was too weak of a signal. It would go for months at a time without being able to connect at all. Thus, why I had a difficult time blogging more often. This is an awesome improvement. Maybe I could watch things on my desktop again, too. Haven't been able to for a long time. When I publish my books, that process should go a lot faster with this.
Wrote more of Alliance 3. Made a source list for all the ones mentioned in the cookbook. There are 53 sources. Quite a bit. Some of those are from family members and friends. According to the ones that had the dates recorded, she was collecting them from 1966 until 2001. 35 years! So long! Really like a time capsule. Even the most recent ones were a while ago. I have a feeling she stopped right around the time she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She already had a lot of recipes, but it feels like it might have had some role. A lot of them are from the early 80's. A lot from Texas.
Started the animal lesson for German. I probably could have finished it, but lunch took a longer time than expected. I did gain enough points to be counted for the day. I might go back and finish it if I have time later. The words for animals are interesting. I could tell where some of the roots for the English words came from. The word for squirrel is very different. Much longer than most of the others I learned today. How they say owl is cute in a way. I've missed 2 so far in that lesson. One was just a really weird sentence, but I did understand it. With the other mistake, I wasn't familiar with the word yet, and they didn't let me see the meaning of it beforehand. Not too bad.
Started reading a manga called Bokke-san. This one's only 18 chapters. However, at least with the first chapter, it was about 60 pages long. Longer than most for manga. It probably comes out to medium length that way, if all of them are like that. The art reminded me of another manga or anime. I just can't place which one specifically...It's about Hinomiya or Hino for short, who ever since he saved someone as a little kid with his powers, has stopped talking completely. He became close friends with the one he saved that day, Sayu. He usually helps her with his supernatural power. (Usually to trick other people.) One day, a woman's murdered by a 'bokke', and her daughter manages to escape and runs to Sayu's place. Where Hino just so happened to be visiting. While fighting them, he transforms and realizes he's a bokke, too. He started talking again after the villains left. When he transformed, he had ears and what looked like cat or dog paws. Kind of cute. How the mom died was really gruesome. Interesting how dark the story actually is, but they throw cuteness, quirkiness, and humor in the mix. My kind of manga.
I managed to dust my bathroom with a swiffer wand. There wasn't much this time. What I did find, I think I just didn't reach last time. I thought I'd have time to use Endust on the wood in that room, but the dusting took longer than I expected. Usually, after using the Endust, it smells amazing! A nice citrusy smell. Makes the wood shine, too. I'll just do that tomorrow.
Finished inking Nico. Started drawing Rakesh's head. Should be interesting to see how he turns out. After I ink him, I'll post Ravel, Nico, and Rakesh to dA and Instagram. That should be soon.
The only other thing I didn't get to last night was watching Mystic Whispers on Netflix. That's ok. I watched the most current episode of Black Clover. I'm liking this one more with each episode. Asta's yelling seems to either have been lessened or I've gotten more used to it. The other characters of Black Bull are quite eccentric and interesting. All of them have something 'off' about them. I like the idea that the main character, Asta, doesn't have magic, but everyone else does. He has the ability of anti-magic. Something that can cancel any type of magic. In that world, that's a powerful thing to have. His sword is cool. He's also physically extremely strong. He feels he has to make up for not having magic, so he trains his body as much as he can. At first, he thought if he trained hard enough, he'll suddenly gain magic. His 'clover' spell book is a 5-clover, which is unheard of. Probably because it just has anti-magic 'spells'. Wouldn't that still be magic? They still haven't explained that part well.
Watched Saiki Kusuo, and it just keeps getting better. The only issue I had was they seemed to talk faster than usual in this episode. They usually talk fast...Apparently one of the newer characters is lesbian, which is cool. She has a crush on Teruhashi who has a crush on Kusuo. Teruhashi is the most popular person at school, calls herself the most beautiful girl in the world, and always has a literal golden 'glow' around her.
Watched an episode of One Piece last night, too. Zoro won his fight in an epic way. So, now there are only 2 executives left. Both of which Luffy and Law are fighting. However, Luffy's being stalled by Bellamy who suddenly decided to attack him. Bellamy was betrayed by Doflamingo. He also has felt that Luffy never took him seriously. So, he wants to fight him even though he's already so beat up, he'll most likely die in another fight. He's kind of pathetic at this point. He could have channeled that energy into fighting Doflamingo with Luffy and Law. Trebol is at Doflamingo's side. Another annoying one to get rid of. He ate the snot devil fruit. He's disgusting, even just to look at. Just oozing with mucus. Doflamingo ate the wire devil fruit. His is a lot cooler and deadlier.

National Pizza Party Day!

Yay for pizza!
I won't be able to have it today, but it's nice that there's a day devoted to it. Our market serves some awesome pizza and they have a special on a pizza every month. A lot of the time that special is something we can't eat. Like it has pepperoni or sausage or something. But, sometimes it's on my fave types of pizza. BBQ'd chicken's my top fave. It's amazing!
There's also a garlic pizza there.
I tried to post on Thursday. But, Blogger was doing maintenance. I didn't realize how long they'd be doing this maintenance.
So, I assumed I'd just pick it back up on Friday. Silly me. They didn't have the post I was working on until today. It's a bit of a headache, but if it's to make the site better somehow, then ok.
Another bit of headache was our internet connection went out last night. So, we worried that maybe the modem needed to be replaced or something. Turns out, it wasn't just us, and it was back this morning. So, yay!
I had a lot of stuff I could do if it was still out, so it wouldn't have been too bad. At least for only a couple of days.
It's funny how we're all so connected to the internet.
Top pic is sweet and sour meatballs with pasta. It's an Ashkenazic dish. (Jews from Eastern Europe.) Another good one. For some reason I used to get nervous about making meatballs.
Now that I've done it a couple of times, it's kind of fun.
Sauce reminded me of my mom's stuffed cabbage. And, was so good, I probably could have just made that.
Second pic's blueberry muffins. I followed the recipe, but it needed a little more sugar.
Tasted more like scones. But, they were really good.
I'm thinking of making more muffins and cookies in the near future.
Snickerdoodles maybe next week.
I'm not used to baking, so it's been interesting. Both of these have become pretty popular on dA. I don't quite get why, but it's nice.
The meatballs have 9 faves and 54 views so far. It's only been up for a couple of days. The muffins have 6 faves and 34 views so far. And, it hasn't been a full day since I posted that one.
I think the meatballs, so far, have had the most amount of faves at least for pics. They really didn't look that great. Maybe to others it did?
I'm happy though!
Not sure if I mentioned this, but that chicken soup I posted last time has been getting a lot of faves as well. Someone commented that they couldn't believe that they'd see something like that on dA, and that he recognized it.
He's from Mexico and it's one of his favorite dishes. Crazy!
Didn't go to services yesterday, because Mom still didn't feel up to it. Her leg is still healing from that fall she had a couple of weeks ago. We went to Urgent Care to have my dad's sutures taken out. There was a woman sitting in the waiting room directly across from us. She had a mask on, but every so often would take it off to cough.
She told her daughter she had a 103 degree fever. I really hope neither Mom or I were infected. And, what's the point of 'wearing' the mask if you're going to keep taking it off to cough?
Dad had a pretty rude doctor take her sutures out, but she's iffy about filing a complaint. I think she should.
After that we went to Burger King. I haven't been there in a long time. We mostly go to places like Pho T&N and Subway if we want something cheap. I actually had a hard time finishing my hamburger and onion rings.
They put way too much mayo on mine. It was swimming in it.
But, the rest was awesome!
I'm going through an American-Jewish cookbook at the moment. It's huge! And, there's so many things that look appealing enough to put on my list.
And, a lot of it seems pretty easy. The recipe for the muffins came from it. The categories for the recipes are odd. Like desserts are first. There's a category just for egg and cheese things. Ideas for stuff when Dad's not there for dinner, or lunches. (So sad that she doesn't eat those things!
) My recipe list is so long now. About 7 pages. (Recipes are written on both sides of each page. So, longer than it sounds.) Soon I hope to get that 3-ring binder and clear sheet protector things. Those will help keep it all together. Easier to search through to see what I might want to make as well.

I like how he said the only real change is that they can finally smell now. Second, an awesome painting of Iceland, from Hetalia, looking up at the northern lights. Ai to Yokubou no Hibi

By the Southern All Stars. It's Days of Love and Desire in English. I love this song for some reason. It's got a blues/rock feel. The band is apparently one of the most influential bands in Japan. They debuted in 1978. They're still very popular and are still putting out songs.
This is my wallpaper now. I didn't make it, just thought it was cute and funny. 
I usually try to change my wallpaper at the beginning of every month, but I kind of forgot. 
Today was warm for the most part. Not really sunny, mostly cloudy, but it was still nice.
I had some problems with my internet connection throughout the morning. When I finally got it up and running, my computer was extremely slow.
I had so many things I needed to get done online! 
Things I had been procrastinating on for a while. Only got to a couple of them.
I posted chapter 10 of Alliance on deviantART: Fear Hopefully people will like it. I think the people who were reading it before probably gave up, since it's been 2 months. It's like the longest time I've gone without posting a chapter. I also posted chapter 1 in 3 of my new groups. Hopefully, it'll get it out there more. Also, I hope more people will comment. I really want to know what other people think. It'll help me grow even more.
I also posted an update journal on my plans for my art. Nice to type it out, so I can remember it later. That's pretty much all the stuff I got to online. Lame.(I wasn't even able to study my Japanese, since everything was taking so long, and every once in a while I do need my online dictionaries.)
I went to a follow-up appointment with my doctor. It was about the throwing up for a month thing.
He's so much nicer than the 'stand-in' guy I saw last time. I've had him as a doctor for a while now. He said it looks like it was gastritis. Looked it up, it says it's inflammation of the stomach lining. Fun fun! 
Also, he said it can be normal for someone in their 20s to get it. It can be brought on by stress. Wahoo! I have so many stressors in my life it wouldn't surprise me! 
What with my parents' stuff combined with mine. Mom having cancer, Dad being transgendered (which I'm ok with, it's still a bit stressful), and me with my Bipolar II. That screams stress to me. 
That's not even all my stressors. He told me to keep taking the generic Prilosec for 2 months. With the last 7 pills, I should have one every other day. If I end up getting sick again, I'll have to go back on it. Oh, and we had to wait over an hour after our appointment time to see him. We got there early too. But, he clearly looked like he had a long busy day. So, I guess it was alright. Maybe since he's a good doctor and he's personable, everybody wants him. Could be wrong, but that's what it seems like. We also asked about that one marker in my blood work that was just a little high. He said it was fine, and seemed pretty normal. We asked if it was an indicator of a possible blood clot again, he said it wasn't. So, it's all good now! I still have to get a new psychiatrist and maybe a therapist.
deviantART fave: APH- Victory Korea I did not make this! It's South Korea celebrating his victory against Greece in the World Cup. Kind of a fun drawing. Nicely done too.

From the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Best CD. It's Dragonfly in English. It sounds very cute, and sort of a sweet tune. But, it's rather stalker-ish.It was both Kiri and Matoi's character song for the first series. Matoi is a stalker of Nozomu, and is always around him. Shows up in the weirdest places. Kiri I think fell in love with him when he told her she was beautiful, and has never left the school since. If you don't know the lyrics, it's not as creepy and is very upbeat. I love it still, not only because it's a great song, but I think because it's part of the quirkiness of the anime.
Wahoo! I went to services again!
That's the 5th time in a row! Sorry, I just wasn't going very often before. 
Plus, my mom led this one. We had about 20 people show up! 
That's almost twice what the Rabbi draws in for a normal service. Pretty awesome! (Oh, and a little technical thing, I said last week there were 3 feet of pheasants, it was 3 feet of quail. To me, it's not a big deal, but to others it might?) We actually had some of the guys come. It's nice to hear both the men's voices and the women's kind of blend. 
Often times there's maybe one guy who shows up. The songs and prayers sound even more awesome that way too. We had someone play the piano and help sing with my mom, so that was nice. Also, we usually feel the Rabbi leaves out too much, and wants to explain every detail. (It's almost like he talks to us like we're little kids, and his views are odd.) With Mom doing it, we were able to do everything and had less explaining. It was nice. Felt more smooth too. 
The D'var was good, too. A lot of people told her she did a good job, and wow, you actually did such and such.
I also got a new watcher on dA! I'm so happy! One of his memes that I looked at was awesome, which I'll get to later. I now have 21 of them! Wow! It's almost like having 21 stalkers, the way they word it on dA. 
Then, that night we watched Ink. I didn't particularly care for it.
Interesting concept and seemed pretty original, but again, it just didn't appeal to me. It had some steam-punk elements in it. If done right, I love steam-punk, but I don't think that was done right. The little girl in it was cute, though.
I'm also not very into the feeling down through most of the movie, movies. 
The ending was nice and happy.
Well, today was just bizarre!
I had so many things planned! First, there was something really weird with my contacts. They seemed to be in the wrong eyes, so I switched them. When I did that, one would be absolutely crystal clear, the other so fuzzy I felt like it wasn't even in. So, I took them out, rinsed them, put them back in, moved them around, dabbed at them; but nothing was working. So, I switched them again, it was blurry again. Eventually, they became very clear. I don't know what their issues were, but it's ok now.
Next, the internet connection was horrible. I'd only get maybe 5 minutes online at a time and it would tell me 'connection failed!' So, I turned everything off and back on again, which sometimes works. Didn't this time. Then, magically after it being down for about 2 hours it would come back on. Then 5 minutes later, out. It was like this ALL day!
Only in the last couple of hours has it been 'stable'.
While that was going on, I spent a while trying to figure out my signature for my pics. Now, I thought maybe I'd decide on something and start putting it on them. No such luck.
I finally decided on what it will be, but I narrowed it down from about 12 fonts to 6 font types. That's not bad, but why couldn't I have decided on a stupid font! Maybe tomorrow.
Also, I tried to burn a couple of CD's with the songs I found. That actually worked!I now have about 1/3 of my playlist on CD. I think it will take like 3 or 4 more to catch up to where I am now. By then, I might have even more. It's a never ending cycle!
We went to the store and I got some new headbands. It was really nice since mine were starting to come apart, and it looks rather wild when I don't have one on.(Of course, not as wild as without a hair tie thingy, but that's different.) We also got a new deodorant for me. I'm apparently, allergic to certain deodorants, so it's kind of hard to find one that works. Eczema not very fun in that area. Only found out when I had surgery on my arm from my dermatologist. I usually love those fragrant ones, but they told me that might be what I'm allergic to. Fun fun! 
We thought the last one would work since it had no fragrance and said it was 'all natural'. It didn't, but didn't pay attention to it until the last couple of weeks when it was getting bad. This one seems even more natural. It's got a bunch of pomegranate stuff (essence, juice, etc.), water, and a special salt; that's pretty much it. Not sure if it will be good at being an actual 'deodorant', but we'll see. Plus, I love pomegranate fragrance! Also, it's supposedly the most recommended by doctors for their cancer patients. Interesting. By the way, this is like the 3rd time trying to finish this post. Because, the internet was out a couple of times. Reinstalled Linksys, and it seems a lot better. We have ignition!

A lot of people told her she did a good job, and wow, you actually did such and such. I also got a new watcher on dA! I'm so happy!
One of his memes that I looked at was awesome, which I'll get to later. I now have 21 of them! Wow! It's almost like having 21 stalkers, the way they word it on dA. Then, that night we watched Ink. I didn't particularly care for it.
Interesting concept and seemed pretty original, but again, it just didn't appeal to me. It had some steam-punk elements in it. If done right, I love steam-punk, but I don't think that was done right. The little girl in it was cute, though.I'm also not very into the feeling down through most of the movie, movies. The ending was nice and happy. Well, today was just bizarre!
I had so many things planned! First, there was something really weird with my contacts. They seemed to be in the wrong eyes, so I switched them. When I did that, one would be absolutely crystal clear, the other so fuzzy I felt like it wasn't even in. So, I took them out, rinsed them, put them back in, moved them around, dabbed at them; but nothing was working. So, I switched them again, it was blurry again. Eventually, they became very clear. I don't know what their issues were, but it's ok now. Next, the internet connection was horrible. I'd only get maybe 5 minutes online at a time and it would tell me 'connection failed!' So, I turned everything off and back on again, which sometimes works. Didn't this time. Then, magically after it being down for about 2 hours it would come back on. Then 5 minutes later, out. It was like this ALL day!
Only in the last couple of hours has it been 'stable'. While that was going on, I spent a while trying to figure out my signature for my pics. Now, I thought maybe I'd decide on something and start putting it on them. No such luck.
I finally decided on what it will be, but I narrowed it down from about 12 fonts to 6 font types. That's not bad, but why couldn't I have decided on a stupid font! Maybe tomorrow.Also, I tried to burn a couple of CD's with the songs I found. That actually worked!
I now have about 1/3 of my playlist on CD. I think it will take like 3 or 4 more to catch up to where I am now. By then, I might have even more. It's a never ending cycle! We went to the store and I got some new headbands. It was really nice since mine were starting to come apart, and it looks rather wild when I don't have one on.
(Of course, not as wild as without a hair tie thingy, but that's different.) We also got a new deodorant for me. I'm apparently, allergic to certain deodorants, so it's kind of hard to find one that works. Eczema not very fun in that area. Only found out when I had surgery on my arm from my dermatologist. I usually love those fragrant ones, but they told me that might be what I'm allergic to. Fun fun! We thought the last one would work since it had no fragrance and said it was 'all natural'. It didn't, but didn't pay attention to it until the last couple of weeks when it was getting bad. This one seems even more natural. It's got a bunch of pomegranate stuff (essence, juice, etc.), water, and a special salt; that's pretty much it. Not sure if it will be good at being an actual 'deodorant', but we'll see. Plus, I love pomegranate fragrance! Also, it's supposedly the most recommended by doctors for their cancer patients. Interesting. By the way, this is like the 3rd time trying to finish this post. Because, the internet was out a couple of times. Reinstalled Linksys, and it seems a lot better. Will help with developing my characters' emotions a bit more. Also, looks fun. Third, an awesome character meme. You introduce 3 of your oc's at the same time. Their names, bad habits, fave foods, hair, secrets, how these characters would act in the same room. Fun stuff like that. This was by the person who became my newest watcher. Awesome! Last, is in celebration of Sweden and Denmark's birthdays from Hetalia. Also, has Iceland, Norway, and Finland in the background. Very fun drawing.
