Scar

Mood::iconchibipolandplz:

By Rip Slyme. This is a definite new fave!:iconchibihungaryplz:Latin flare, jazzy, energetic, etc. The first time I heard it was during the ending theme of Joker. The drama I just started last Thursday. It's looking like another really good mystery/crime drama. It's about a 'mild-mannered' detective named Date. The police force call him a 'Buddha' or a 'Saint' because of his personality. He doesn't seem to get angry or upset while on the job. But, when a criminal gets away scot-free, he takes matters into his own hands. After work, he finds these criminals and viciously punishes them. He doesn't kill them, he just makes them suffer, and then sends them to some deserted place.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:Very interesting show. Oh, and I found a ton more songs! Yay!:iconthailandplz:

It felt nice and warm today. It was somewhat chilly in the shade, and warm in the sun. Kind of a typical Fall day. I finished watching Bambino. Nice ending.:iconchibiamericaplz:Ban makes it to a restaurant in Rome. The head chef of Baccanale leaves with the chef that was in Hakata to a small island. They open up a restaurant there. They feel happy to start from scratch, and in solitude. It's sad that it's over though.:iconrussiacryingplz:It was one of my first Jdramas. I think Ando Natsu was the first, and that was because I briefly saw it on TV Japan. I'm still not finished with that one, though. The last episode isn't subbed.:iconchibienglandplz:I'm debating whether next time I should just watch it without subs. I don't know.

I finished my 2nd application with Kesher. Now, I have to wait.:bored:They say, soon I'll get an email asking me to accept or decline a trip that they select for me. When that happens, and I accept it, I'll know that I'm going. Sometime between now and a few weeks away they're going to do a phone interview. Even if you know you're going, they still will call. Yay! I love waiting!:icontinoplz:

I went to services on Saturday. Had a pretty good turn out. We had both cantors and the Rabbi leading it this time. Interesting, when it's all 3 of them. And, it sounds awesome!:iconfrancisplz:The parsha this time was about the tower of Babel. It was a pretty interesting one, and I somewhat agreed with the Rabbi's drash.:wow:

Later, we went to pick up Dad's contacts, and my trial pair contacts. These seem to be pretty good, and stay clear throughout most of the day.:iconchibisitalyplz:Then, we went shopping. I found a nice pair of pajamas. I really needed them. The pants have snowmen running up and down them, and the top has a snowman in the corner. (Top is red in the background.) It says You Make Me Melt. Kind of cute.:meow:Another one I was thinking of, was with a sleeping penguin, saying Need a Nap? I barely ever look at things like that, but for some reason they called out to me. So, why not?:iconeestiplz:

Then, we ate at Pho Tai. They're a new restaurant really close to where we live. It's a Vietnamese/Japanese one. We have a Pho restaurant right next to it, that we've been going to for a while. So, it was interesting to see what this one would be like. I think they have a lot more of a selection at Pho Tai.:iconkikuplz:My mom and I split their Vietnamese style spring roll with tofu. I liked theirs more than the other place's. Didn't fall apart as much, and I guess more solid. I ordered the Chicken Katsu. It came with sauce on the side, sticky rice, and a cole slaw-type salad. It was very good!:iconitalyplz:Only problem was, they had huge portions. I barely could eat half of mine. So, Mom and I have enough for another meal, and we'll have that when Dad's gone tomorrow night.:iconhappychinaplz:

Watched more of Gonzo. It's an awesome show so far!:iconheroamericaplz:I love the humor, the 'realness' of it, great acting, etc., so far. Played a little of the Sims 2. Germany finally made it past toddler stage.:dummy:Good thing, because maybe now I can get his parents promoted some more. He took a lot out of them. Understandable, but they were demanding things they couldn't afford.:iconwtfromanoplz:I might even let them live longer with those fountain of youth things. I finally made an extra room for Germany, and I'm making a large bathroom coming from his room. Upstairs I might make like a rec room or something. It'll have a piano, exercise equipment, etc. So, there's lots more I want to play around with.:evillaugh:

I saw what looks to be a good recipe at みんなのきょうの料理 (Or Today's Menu for Everyone. Supposedly more simpler version of Today's Menu.) It's a walnut nikujaga. Nikujaga is a meat and potato stew. Usually, the meat's beef. It sounds really interesting with walnuts and curry powder. Might make it someday.:iconchibiaustriaplz:Watched Ghost Friends today. It was really funny this time. Asuka seems to be falling for Kaito, who's a ghost. She's debating whether humans and ghosts could actually love each other. Interesting.:iconchibijapanplz:

Simchat Torah

Mood::iconsleepygreeceplz:

This is my wallpaper for October. Kind of cute.:iconseychelles-plz:Found 3 other nice wallpapers, too. I'm low on them, so I got a few. Might make me hungry everytime I look at it, but I like it. Today's Simchat Torah! Yay!:la:It's a day that we celebrate the Torah. (Literally rejoicing in Torah.) Marks the end and beginning of the weekly parsha (Torah portion) readings for the year. During the service, there's dancing with the Torahs, singing, candy, and the Torah's read. Each person can take turns holding and dancing with the Torah. I think we also unroll it across the room. So everyone gets a chance to look at it. It's really long, so it's cool to see the whole thing laid out like that.:iconhappychinaplz:Everyone has to hold it up, too. It's a really fun and interesting holiday. We have a service tonight for it. Tomorrow morning, Mom's going to lead services. Since, both the Rabbi and Cantors are going to be gone. Man, she should become a Rabbi or something.:iconchibiamericaplz:She's always the one to step up and help when asked.

My cat, Natasha (or Tasha for short), had her vet appointment yesterday. Just to update all her shots and look at something on her chin. Turns out she has feline chin acne.:iconchibijapanplz:And we were seeing a scab after she had scratched at it for a while. I feel sorry for her.:iconamericasadchibiplz:But, they gave us something to heal it for now. They told us we probably should get her a ceramic plate for her food.

Tasha actually jumped on my bed for more than 5 minutes a couple of nights ago.:wow:I miss our more cuddly cats, so that was a treat for me.Tight HugA lot of the other cats would sleep with me, sit on our laps, sit in between us on the couch, lick us every so often, actually meow, follow us, and other stuff. She doesn't do that stuff. I kind of feel like we need another cat to play with her, and for us to have a cat to cuddle with. I love her a lot, just feels like something's missing.:paranoid:Also, Tasha seems to be getting bored lately.:iconnorwayunimpressedplz:

Later, I had my eye exam. Since, my regular doctor suffered a stroke, the place I usually go to directed us to a newer place. It's at least until they find a replacement. He was really good.:iconpolandplz:He liked to joke a lot with us, too. This one has a lot of different tests. I felt like I was seeing stars for a while.:iconchibirussiaplz:I really hate that Glaucoma test!:iconbraginskiplz:But, it runs in the family. It was the first exam since I got my contacts a year ago. I still love them, and probably will never go back to glasses. The doctor that I saw, said my eyes had actually improved. My eyesight is not the best, so that was nice to hear.:iconthailandplz:

At first I thought the prescription wasn't too bad. My left eye was a little fuzzy at first, but I thought it could be because I wasn't used to it or something. The right, had a perfect prescription. So, I waited until today. I couldn't see out of my left at all.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:I can't go around all day with just one eye that's good. Plus, it was giving me a huge headache.:iconchibienglandplz:Things weren't lining up right either. So, I switched to my old pair. I can see a lot better. Further evidence that it wasn't right.:icongermanyplz:So, we made another appointment for tomorrow. Hopefully, it will come out right.
I started another drama on Tuesday, called Untouchable. It was very interesting, funny, kind of cool, and very well done. Another good mystery series. The main character is Narumi Ryoko, who used to work at a leading magazine called the 'National Journal'. She switched to working for the 3rd rate magazine called the 'Untouchable Weekly'. She uncovers a very deep and complicated controversy. That's bigger than anybody expected. They were bring 'divine punishment' to the nation's main construction company. Saying that they were corrupt. They purposefully made everything look like tragic accidents and blamed it on the company.
Started one on Wednesday called Bloody Monday. It's really good, very suspenseful, and intense. It's about a terrorist plot to wipe out Tokyo. They already wiped out a small town in Russia. They're using a very deadly, nasty, and painful virus. It's called Bloody X. Japan's Public Safety Special Third unit, codenamed THIRD-i, recruits a genius hacker, Takagi Fujimaru, to help them find out about what happened in Russia. He's been a lot smarter than the unit. The terrorist group is thinking of using him somehow. They've already killed his father, and threatened to kill his sister. The first episode was an hour and a half. It was like watching a really good movie. I think this one's the best of the ones I've started this week. I tried another one yesterday called Nihonjin no Shiranai Nihongo. Had great promise, but I felt it was the worst one I've watched so far. I found a couple of dramas that might be good to try next Thursday. So, we'll see.

Kagerou

Mood::iconwtfukplz:

From the Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Best CD. It's Dragonfly in English. It sounds very cute, and sort of a sweet tune. But, it's rather stalker-ish. :iconusaplz:It was both Kiri and Matoi's character song for the first series. Matoi is a stalker of Nozomu, and is always around him. Shows up in the weirdest places. :iconbrothercanadaplz:Kiri I think fell in love with him when he told her she was beautiful, and has never left the school since. :icontinoplz:If you don't know the lyrics, it's not as creepy and is very upbeat. I love it still, not only because it's a great song, but I think because it's part of the quirkiness of the anime.

Wahoo! I went to services again! :iconchibicanadaplz:That's the 5th time in a row! Sorry, I just wasn't going very often before. :iconcrazyginplz:Plus, my mom led this one. We had about 20 people show up! Wow!That's almost twice what the Rabbi draws in for a normal service. Pretty awesome! (Oh, and a little technical thing, I said last week there were 3 feet of pheasants, it was 3 feet of quail. To me, it's not a big deal, but to others it might?) We actually had some of the guys come. It's nice to hear both the men's voices and the women's kind of blend. :sing:Often times there's maybe one guy who shows up. The songs and prayers sound even more awesome that way too. :iconchibiamericaplz:We had someone play the piano and help sing with my mom, so that was nice. Also, we usually feel the Rabbi leaves out too much, and wants to explain every detail. (It's almost like he talks to us like we're little kids, and his views are odd.) With Mom doing it, we were able to do everything and had less explaining. It was nice. Felt more smooth too. :iconeduardplz:The D'var was good, too. A lot of people told her she did a good job, and wow, you actually did such and such.

I also got a new watcher on dA! I'm so happy! :dummy: One of his memes that I looked at was awesome, which I'll get to later. I now have 21 of them! Wow! It's almost like having 21 stalkers, the way they word it on dA. :iconitalyishorrifiedplz:

Then, that night we watched Ink. I didn't particularly care for it. :iconchibijapanplz:Interesting concept and seemed pretty original, but again, it just didn't appeal to me. It had some steam-punk elements in it. If done right, I love steam-punk, but I don't think that was done right. The little girl in it was cute, though.:iconchibitaliaplz:I'm also not very into the feeling down through most of the movie, movies. :icongermanyplz:The ending was nice and happy.

Well, today was just bizarre! :iconginblinking:I had so many things planned! First, there was something really weird with my contacts. They seemed to be in the wrong eyes, so I switched them. When I did that, one would be absolutely crystal clear, the other so fuzzy I felt like it wasn't even in. :iconchibienglandplz:So, I took them out, rinsed them, put them back in, moved them around, dabbed at them; but nothing was working. :iconchibigermanyplz:So, I switched them again, it was blurry again. Eventually, they became very clear. I don't know what their issues were, but it's ok now. :iconkikuplz:

Next, the internet connection was horrible. I'd only get maybe 5 minutes online at a time and it would tell me 'connection failed!' So, I turned everything off and back on again, which sometimes works. Didn't this time. Then, magically after it being down for about 2 hours it would come back on. Then 5 minutes later, out. It was like this ALL day! :iconlietplz:Only in the last couple of hours has it been 'stable'.

While that was going on, I spent a while trying to figure out my signature for my pics. Now, I thought maybe I'd decide on something and start putting it on them. No such luck. :iconginfacepalmplz:I finally decided on what it will be, but I narrowed it down from about 12 fonts to 6 font types. That's not bad, but why couldn't I have decided on a stupid font! Maybe tomorrow.

Also, I tried to burn a couple of CD's with the songs I found. That actually worked! :iconchibirussiaplz:I now have about 1/3 of my playlist on CD. I think it will take like 3 or 4 more to catch up to where I am now. By then, I might have even more. It's a never ending cycle!

We went to the store and I got some new headbands. It was really nice since mine were starting to come apart, and it looks rather wild when I don't have one on. :icontinoplz:(Of course, not as wild as without a hair tie thingy, but that's different.) We also got a new deodorant for me. I'm apparently, allergic to certain deodorants, so it's kind of hard to find one that works. Eczema not very fun in that area. Only found out when I had surgery on my arm from my dermatologist. I usually love those fragrant ones, but they told me that might be what I'm allergic to. Fun fun! :iconannoyedgin-plz: We thought the last one would work since it had no fragrance and said it was 'all natural'. It didn't, but didn't pay attention to it until the last couple of weeks when it was getting bad. This one seems even more natural. It's got a bunch of pomegranate stuff (essence, juice, etc.), water, and a special salt; that's pretty much it. Not sure if it will be good at being an actual 'deodorant', but we'll see. Plus, I love pomegranate fragrance! :iconchibihungaryplz: Also, it's supposedly the most recommended by doctors for their cancer patients. Interesting. By the way, this is like the 3rd time trying to finish this post. Because, the internet was out a couple of times. Reinstalled Linksys, and it seems a lot better. We have ignition!

deviantART faves: You're toys in my hand Emote Expression Meme Oc Character Meme Blank Happy B-day Guys colored I did not make these! First, Russia from Hetalia with some of the other countries as his Matryoshka dolls. Creepy, but cool looking. Some of the countries are in traditional dress. Second, a really nice blank emote meme. Will help with developing my characters' emotions a bit more. Also, looks fun. Third, an awesome character meme. You introduce 3 of your oc's at the same time. Their names, bad habits, fave foods, hair, secrets, how these characters would act in the same room. Fun stuff like that. This was by the person who became my newest watcher. Awesome! Last, is in celebration of Sweden and Denmark's birthdays from Hetalia. Also, has Iceland, Norway, and Finland in the background. Very fun drawing.

Youtube:
One of my fave songs, Jai Ho, combined with Hetalia. What could be better?
