Happy Days!

Mood::iconicelandfukkiretaplz:

By Ai Otsuka. Kind of fits my mood for the last couple of days. Haven't posted an Ai Otsuka song in a long time! This one's kind of an old one, but it's fun and energetic. Although, a bit weird too. But, that kind of fits Otsuka. She's an amazing singer!:iconchibinitalyplz:Does a wide range of musical genres. From rock, to pop, to ballads, etc. It would be cool if she was currently more active.

This is my wallpaper for the month. Kind of thought it was funny, and a bit awkward. It has the vocaloids Rin, Luka, Miku, and Len. The girls are apparently thinking about putting Len in a kimono. Haven't had a vocaloid themed wallpaper in a while.

My spice calendar features saffron, which is the most expensive spice on Earth. It apparently originated in Greece. While Iran is the biggest producer of saffron in the world currently, Spain is its biggest exporter. They explain what it was used for in the past, what you can make with it, and what wines you can pair those dishes with.

My Jewish calendar features a self-portrait, oil based painting on canvas, by Else Berg. From Amsterdam in 1917. There's also a mizrach, maker's unknown, out of paper, from Germany in 1900. A mizrach, is a wall decoration on the eastern wall of a house or synagogue in the direction of Jerusalem towards which we face during prayer. (Mizrach literally means 'east'.) Always cool to see the old stuff.:iconchibihungaryplz:

The month-long holidays are: National Asparagus Month, National BBQ Month, National Egg Month, National Hamburger Month, National Mediterranean Diet Month, National Salad Month, National Salsa (food) Month, National Strawberry Month, Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Haitian Heritage Month, Jewish American Heritage Month, National Mental Health Month. Some are important causes, some are to make you appreciate things you may take for granted, and some are just for fun. I love all of those foods! Cool, that it's Jewish American Heritage Month! Mental health is very important. Good to raise awareness for it.

Actually got up a bit early today. Before my alarm went off.:iconkikuplz:I've been sleeping in a little the last couple of days, so this was nice.

Yesterday was the anniversary, on the regular calendar, of my mom passing away. Oddly, I didn't really feel depressed.:iconseychelles-plz:She popped up in my mind occasionally, but I wasn't really that emotional about it. It might be that I'm still on a 'high' from publishing my book. Not only that, but getting into the 'premium' catalog really made me feel good. I think she'd want me to be happy. So, maybe it was ok to feel this way on such a day. My grandparents called mainly because of what day it was, and to see how I was. It was a nice conversation. I told them about my book, and they seemed happy for me. They also said they were proud. Makes me feel even better!:iconfrancisplz:Not sure if I've felt this happy before. If I have, it would have been a loooong time ago.

There has been 11 downloads of the sample on Smashwords, so far. It's available now on Kobo, Apple, and Page Foundry. It was shipped to Barnes and Noble, I saw they got it, but they haven't listed it yet. This is so exciting!:la:If anyone's interested, here's the link to it on Smashwords: Alliance. (Can't believe I didn't post it last time...:icongermanyplz:)

Went to the support group's meeting Tuesday night. This time, since it was the 5th Tuesday of the month, we had a potluck and watched a movie. There wasn't much to the potluck this time. We brought some regular popcorn, and some Kettle Corn. There was a good red velvet swirl cake with icing, some chips, and gummy bears. I think there was soda, although I didn't drink anything. The movie was interesting, yet extremely trippy.

We went to Shari's after. I got the yogurt parfait that comes with an English muffin. They just listed it coming with a 'muffin'. That can mean a lot of things.:iconnataliaplz:The English muffin was already heavily buttered. Kind of looked nasty that way. Isn't it better to let your customers put as much or as little as they'd like on it? The parfait was pretty good. I asked for strawberries in mine. So, it was those, yogurt, and some crushed up pieces of granola (kind of like they took a bar of it, and smashed it into chunks. Then, put it in the parfait). Also, had my regular strawberry lemonade.

Found out that one of the members of the group wanted me to help teach her daughter about Judaism. Her daughter's very interested in it, but doesn't know anyone who is Jewish. Her daughter's thinking of possibly converting in the future. She also isn't really sure if her daughter actually knows how big of a commitment that is. I'm more than happy to educate people. Even if it just ends up being that way, it's still cool that she's even slightly interested. I think people should be educated of others. I was always the only Jew in school (except college, and even then, there wasn't very many of us), so I have some experience in talking to people who have absolutely no idea what Judaism is about. In the past, its led to some really interesting questions and debate.:iconheroamericaplz:

I thought I'd take her to a Saturday morning service first, to kind of let her have a feel of it. But, now I'm starting to think that it'd be best to just meet and talk first. So, she knows some of the basics, and she's not totally confused. Both congregations are very open to people who aren't Jewish and that are just interested in how we do things. So, I'm sure they'd be fine with it. Back in high school, I think (might have been in junior high), I took a couple of my non-Jewish friends to services. They thought it was very interesting and fun. The congregation said if there's any questions you have, just ask. So, this should be very interesting.:iconthailandplz:

We went to Taprock for dinner yesterday. Mammy J had gotten another check from Smashwords!:dummy:So, that was good to celebrate. I got a ciabatta sandwich with smoked chicken, provolone, and pesto. The sandwich also had some sundried tomatoes, red onions, and green pepper. It came with a side of steak fries, and a long deli pickle. Had half of it, and the other half made for a nice lunch today.

In Cartoon KAT-TUN, they had their second to last episode of the 'love' project. Which is good, because their project has lasted longer than I was expecting. And, things got tiring quickly. Although, I really loved Kame and Taguchi's parts in the project. The others I could have done without. Ueda didn't really do much until the last couple of episodes. This episode was actually a compilation of footage that they had cut out throughout the project. I think that they had the best moments. They should have kept these scenes in. Kame met some kindergarteners doing a relay outside. He talked to a little boy in the group, and asked him about love. He kept saying that the only thing he loves is meat. Kame asked him if there was anything else he loved, and he continued to bring up meat. Then, eventually he ranked his favorite meats. It was cute. Then, Kame talked to an 86 year old man, who was tending to his 'vegetable and fruit' farm. He showed Kame how to prune an apple tree. He said the only thing he loves, at his age, is tending to his farm. He started doing it when he was 18, and hasn't stopped since. Ueda talked to some middle school girls about love. That was rather interesting, too. One girl tried to confess to a boy she's had a crush on through her cell phone, but had to leave a message. Taguchi watched how animals court each other. It was cute and funny. In the last episode of this 'project' they'll do something together. And, from the preview, they look like they're brought to tears.

In Otenki Onee-san, people are starting to notice that detective Gota has a photographic memory. He keeps trying to avoid the subject, saying anyone can do it. This time, it was about a woman who suspected her ex of stalking. She got a restraining order when she thought that he was setting fires around her. Turned out, that those fires had started by using the sun's rays and making them bounce off of something like a crystal, and aiming it towards something. Like using a magnifying glass as an example. He just wanted to talk to her. Her assistant, and friend, acted like she was protecting her from the crazy ex. When it was really her who 'rigged up' those areas to catch fire. She wanted her all to herself. She thought the only way they can be together forever is if they die together, and set a fire up in a greenhouse that the other woman's family owns. Then, locked her and herself inside. They found them in time, but she was really creepy.

H2O

Mood::iconhappychinaplz:

By Ai Otsuka. A nice rockin' song.:iconchibiamericaplz:Another one I didn't like at first. It's about what romance is, supposedly, all about. (More the science side of it.) Interesting lyrics. Here's a live performance vid:

It's been pretty cold today.:iconchibicanadaplz:(Apparently, it's only going to get colder for the next couple of days.) I saw a few light snow flurries. Like barely visible. But, apparently some surrounding areas got some accumulation. I'm glad it hasn't here. At least, not yet.:iconusaplz:

I went to my psychiatrist's appointment. Everything's pretty much going well with the meds. I felt a bit weird feeling 'down' a couple of times. But, she said that was normal, and that she wants me to be able to have emotion. It's normal as long as it's not in either of the extremes and/or for too long. It's ok. Means I'm human.:iconheroamericaplz:I have to bring my med bottles with me on my trip to Israel. I can't just put them in those weekly pillbox things. It's a security/health issue.:icongermanyplz:I have to remember to bring more meds than I'll need, just in case. Also, sometime in the future, I have to have a routine kidney and liver check. They have to check them because of the possible side effects of the meds. I haven't had problems, so she's not worried about it. It's just a precaution. I hate blood tests, though.:iconwtfromanoplz:

Bloody Monday 2's getting more intense!:iconprussiaplz:I didn't think it could get any better, or more suspenseful for that matter. There's a kid who keeps trying to kill himself, because he's being bullied for money. Eventually, the new terrorist group gets a hold of him, and says let's die together. He opens a box they hide for him, and it's got a gun. I don't know why they would even think of using him, and what good would killing him do?:hmm:Other than maybe getting at Fujimaru's sister. Strange. J's slowly going insane. He knew he was going to die soon and tried to shoot himself. He goes off the deep end when he realizes there were no bullets.:iconbraginskiplz:Kano's accused of being a spy in Third-i. When he's really working for the prime minister. Maya is too, now. Fujimaru saved everyone again. Hornet had hacked into the natural gas system, and was going to leak a form of nerve gas through it.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:Fujimaru hacked in and gained control, thwarting the terrorist attack. This group seems a lot more vicious and cruel, then the previous one.:iconraivisplz:They still won't show who Hornet is, and who their leader is.:iconkikuplz:

Fairy Tail was a bit weird. Good, but weird. The team was relaxing at a big beach resort for a while. Then, just as Erza was starting to feel really relaxed, her old 'friends' show up. They keep saying that she betrayed them, and they had to take her to Gerard who's in 'Paradise Tower'. He says he'll use her as his 'sacrificial lamb'.:iconwtfukplz:I saw him in earlier episodes. He seems like a really good bad guy. Also, read some of O-parts Hunter. They've made it to the actual Olympiad, with some pretty creepy characters.

In You Maga, so far my horoscope's about overcoming hurdles in order to grow in character. Interesting. Only have a little bit left of the first part of my horoscope. Next, it's about love and relationships. Yay!:dummy:

deviantART faves: Turtle Cupcake Heavenly Pretzels I did not make these! First, this cupcake looks so good! I don't think I've had a turtle version of a cupcake. Second, really tasty looking pretzels. They're called Two Tone. Meaning chocolate and vanilla striped pretzels. Awesome! I want to try one!

Youtube:
2 awesome Kagrra songs. The first's called Hoozuki, and the other's Utakata. One's a live performance:

Cherish

Mood::iconberwaldplz:

By Ai Otsuka. A haunting, eery, yet beautiful song. I didn't like this at first, but I gave it a chance. Now, it's one of my faves.:iconchibihungaryplz:It's about her being terrified of love, yet she 'chases' after it. I think she might be singing about a lover who's recently died too. It's a bit vague, though.:hmm:Here's the vid:

Well, I think this post is going to be short.:iconkikuplz:I've been cleaning most of day. Things like the dishes, my bathroom, laundry, etc.:icontinoplz:

Zettai Reido was just sad. Good, but I feel oddly sorry for the killer. His father was the original serial killer 8 years ago. But, then he had a stroke and couldn't kill anymore. So, he abused his son, and made him do the killings.:iconraivisplz:It was interesting that the only thing that linked all the murders was they were seen walking around the same park. And, they had long black hair.

I've Been Married to Hell was really funny, yet touching this time.Happy cry (Tears of joy)It was interesting to see her interact with her actual parents. Her mother-in-law helped make both her parents and herself understand each other. I think the mother-in-law knows Kimiko isn't perfect, but she just wants to get to know her more. She has a lot of good intentions, they just end up making the situation harder.:iconwtfromanoplz:

I'm still working on my horoscope in You Maga. It doesn't sound too good.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:(Like, I'll have bad luck with something.) But, I'll see what the rest of it says. It's kind of a fun thing to work on.

deviantART faves: Mayorin Gingerbread bite Itami the Voodoo Doll I did not make these! First, A hilarious drawing of Toshi from Gintama. That would definitely be his dream right there. He loves mayo a little too much. Second, very cute gingerbread cookies eating a living voodoo doll. I love this artist's style of making seemingly really cute things deadly. Or being twisted in some way. She's one of the ones I watch. Third, it's the 'living' voodoo doll's description. He apparently gets picked on a lot.

Youtube:
An awesome Gintama AMV. Shows you how great their fight scenes are. This also shows the episodes that the movie's based on:

A live performance of Change by Monkey Majik. This time it's without the Yoshida Brothers, and it still sounds awesome!

The ending credits to Konkatsu for the finale. I loved this show, and this gives you just a taste. Plus, the song's catchy too:

The ending credits to Erai Tokoro ni Totsuide Shimatta! aka I've Been Married to Hell! I'm loving this show so far:

Rocket Sneaker

Mood::iconicelandfukkiretaplz:

By Ai Otsuka. A nice, fun, and upbeat song. Again, this song's one of the ones that grew on me over time. A lot of her songs seem that way. The lyrics are really trippy, but interesting.:iconseychelles-plz:Here's a vid with part of the song. It's even more trippy than the lyrics:

I posted a pic: Dowtown 1 Probably not the best pic of downtown, but I have more coming up.:iconchibicanadaplz:I was trying to get pics of the old Norwegian-styled buildings. Already had someone fave and comment on it!:dummy:I edited and read what I had for chapter 12. Next time I can start writing again! It's exciting to get back into it!:iconlachoirplz:I know stopping to do character development was important, it just felt funny to not get back to the actual story. Played some Mozart for a change. It's been so long, I was a bit rusty. It wasn't bad though. But, I could do  much better. I'm not used to doing trills anymore.:iconswissplz:I've always loved playing them. I find it a bit strange when they tell you to trill to a sharp or a flat. I liked it, maybe I'll play some more of it tomorrow.:iconthailandplz:Finished with translating a sentence from the North American Post. About halfway through the next sentence. I'll start posting sentences that I've worked on, again, when I start another article.
In Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, it was on the Wimbledon Effect. Kind of like, if we let them in, they'll take over. Next, was about Japan being a spy heaven. They create chaos by deceiving Japanese society. They do annoying things to 'sabotage' Japan. Like, making out in the library, taking forever to find change at the checkout, a small rock in your shoe, etc. (Paranoid much?)
In Fairy Tail, Lucy finds out that Loke is really a spirit name Leo the Lion. His celestial wizard was Karen Lilica. He killed her and was banished from the spirit world forever. They die if they stay in the human world too long. He's at his limit, being there for 3 years. Natsu and Gray got into another fight in the pic. No one seems to notice Juvia watching them throughout the episode. So sad.

I edited the Bitter slot. Ravel's looking much better already. Not as fuzzy. This slot's going to take a little more time than I expected. But, it's the last one for the flavor meme. Wahoo!

White Choco

Mood::iconeduardplz:

By Ai Otsuka. Another one from her LOVE.IT album. So, it's her bunny alter-ego 'singing' again. The vid's cute, trippy, and funny. It seems like an odd song for me to really like, but it's grown on me.:iconfrancisplz:Here's the vid:

I didn't have time to post yesterday, because we went shopping. Wasn't really expecting to.:iconhongkongplz:I actually found 2 bras that fit!:iconyayhanatamagoplz:I've been wearing them in the wrong way for years. (Sorry, if that's a little too 'personal'.:iconkikuplz:) It took just over an hour for that alone, and went through about 20 different kinds.:iconwthplz:It was almost torture. After that, I finally got some socks and underwear. Haven't had new socks for a long time.:iconusaplz:So, now I'm set with that kind of stuff for a while!:iconchibiamericaplz:

The cats are still fighting almost every night. I hope they resolve it soon.:iconwtfromanoplz:It's getting ridiculous. Tasha looks beat up, and seems to be afraid to go downstairs to eat or go to the bathroom. She does go down eventually, but only if she absolutely has to. She has gotten a lot better the last couple of days, though.
I started a new drama on Sunday called Tokyo Wankei: Destiny of Love. I usually hate romance shows. But, this is a bit 'unique'. It's a very interesting story. I love how it portrays the cultural differences between Koreans and Japanese. It's about a woman who's a 3rd generation Korean living in Japan. Her father works at the Korean embassy. He wants her to only marry a Korean. Just because her father doesn't approve of her relationship with a Japanese doctor, and his parents don't approve either, he breaks up with her. After feeling upset about her heritage, she decides to join an email dating service. The only message she sends out is: "Please tell me who I really am." Then, says he has to be from the Tokyo Bay area and Japanese. (Which is what Tokyo Wankei means.) Ryosuke, who works at a warehouse at a pier replies to her message. They eventually meet, and have nothing in common, but something keeps bringing them back to each other. Mika (her Japanese name), finds her mother's diary and starts reading from it. She's, eerily, following the same path as her mother. She even says the same words. Her mother fell deeply in love with the Japanese man, but he died in a tragic accident. I hope it doesn't end tragically too.
I tried to start another drama yesterday, but I'm not sure I like what I ended up with. It's called Rinjo. It's very interesting, but has no pizazz or excitement, I guess. It's a bit slow, nothing about it seems really appealing to me. At least, not enough to want to watch it every week. What caught my eye, at first, was its lead actor's the same as in Gonzo. But, even though he's a great actor, the other actors and story were kind of flat. Basically, it's about a forensic's examiner who looks at crime scenes 'differently' than everyone else. He solves the crimes much quicker than the police do. He looks at every single detail, where people usually somehow miss. So, during the weekend, I'll find another to replace it. I'm going to watch more of I've Been Married to Hell! later. That one just seems to be getting funnier and funnier.:iconchibihungaryplz:

I posted a pic: Cool Sky and I really like this one.:iconchibicanadaplz:You can see some of the rays of light poking through the clouds. Already got one fave!:dummy:I also joined a photography club on Anime Forum. Yes, that's it's name.:iconnataliaplz:Not very unique. But, it's still one of the best forums out there. (It's also based in the UK.) Been on it for a little over a year. Anyways, at least this club seems pretty active. Hopefully, I'll like it.:iconchibiaustriaplz:

I also edited and read chapter 11. I'm liking my story even more than before!:la:I'll go over what I have for chapter 12 later. Soon, I'll be able to get back to the actual writing. Makes me happy!:iconhappychinaplz:

In Afterschool Charisma, apparently there's an organization that's assassinating clones, much the same way their originals were. Played some Irish tunes. A couple that were new to me. Wasn't too bad. Next time, I really need to play something else like Klezmer, jazz, etc. It's getting a little old.:iconromanoplz:Worked some more on the North American Post article. I edited and finished the Sweet slot for the meme. Started editing the Bitter slot. This one seems to have gotten really fuzzy. I'll try to salvage it.

In Hetalia, Japan and America visited each other's fast food restaurants. Japan's large fries serving is much smaller than their American counterparts. America was freaking out a bit. Next, after the battle of Tannenberg, Prussia calmed down in Polish land. He renamed the Teutonic Knights into the Duchy of Prussia. He bumps into Hungary, who's badly wounded. And, he tries to bandage her wounds, but ends up ripping her blouse open instead. And, they just left it at that. A bit awkward, no?
