National Gumdrop Day!

Mood::iconsleepygreeceplz:

It was actually yesterday, but I love gumdrops!:dummy:So, it's a nice day to appreciate them. I read that no one knows who invented them. But, they were invented in the 1800's. It's older than I thought.:icontinoplz:

I've been feeling even crummier the last couple of days.:iconnorwayunimpressedplz:Hence, why I didn't post yesterday. Every morning since I came back from Israel, I feel so nauseous. It got pretty intense yesterday and today. I have a hard time eating breakfast now.:iconwtfromanoplz:Mom suggested it may be from jet lag. Makes some sense. I guess it just doesn't want to leave. Hopefully, it will soon.:iconkikuplz:

Posted chapter 12 of Alliance yesterday.:phew:Here's the link: Chapter 12 If you would like to read from the beginning it's here. It's been a long time since I posted a chapter.:iconlietplz:Kind of surprised me. But, oh well. It's there at least. I still have so many ideas for it!:la:It's like a never ending story. I kind of like that, though. It's continuing/sticking to the plot, and to me at least, seems to be getting even better. So, I guess it may turn into a series. But, I have to finish the first book first.:iconberwaldplz:

I played TinierMe's fishing game. Last time I tried to play, it was really weird and I couldn't catch anything. Now, it's kind of addicting. (I guess they fixed it?) Made it to Hobby Fisher. Yay!:iconthailandplz:
I watched the last episode of I've Been Married to Hell! or Erai Tokoro ni Totsuide Shimatta! Kimiko and her mother-in-law finally understand each other. After, she found out how Kimiko really felt. She became depressed, but later they resolved it. And, Kimiko won the title of the best bride of the town, by the women's social group. Kind of funny, considering what she started saying in front of the everyone.:iconenglandispervyplz:There was still a lot of really hilarious moments mixed in with this semi-more serious episode. Really good series throughout. Another one I'll miss.:iconfrancisplz:It was really fun to watch, too. The music fit the mood perfectly every time. It was a good ending.

Posted a pic on dA: The Knesset. It's already got a fave! The first of many on dA. I'll get ready for my next batch of my Israel pics on FB. I'm doing it slower on dA, because I don't want to bombard people who watch me, or groups I might submit them to.:iconheroamericaplz:

Found out one of the vids I uploaded to Youtube (with permission from the owner:iconohboyamericaplz:), was taken off because of copyright infringement. They say if they take off 3 vids for the same reason, you're account will be deleted. Yay!:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:So, even though I have permission to use the others, I took down everything but my fountain vid. Just to be safe.:iconhongkongplz:I've started seeing a lot of accounts being deleted. Kind of weird that they're 'cracking down' on it all of a sudden. Probably making even more people pissed off. They already made most of the users angry when they switched to the new user homepage. They're petitioning to have an option of reverting the page to the old version. I agree with this!:iconchibiamericaplz:Since the change, it's been cluttered, and they did something weird with my recommendation section. Before, there was a link to have a whole page of suggestions. Now, it's like 10 videos shown on the same page as the rest of the stuff. Plus, the vids they come up with for it, aren't as good. So, it's a bit weird.:iconchibijapanplz:I'm not pissed, I just would like that option to revert back.

There's a Hadassah meeting tonight. It's a potluck, and then a Rabbi will speak. I might bring my camera to show some people pics of the trip.:camera:Found out another guy from that Anime Forum wants to see my travel journal and pics. Seems like everybody does.:iconseychelles-plz:Interesting. I'm still in the process of writing entries for my online travel journal. I might post what I've done so far tomorrow or something. It doesn't look like much at the moment, though.:iconswissplz:

5 More Days!

Mood::iconicelandfukkiretaplz:

Wahoo!! 5 more days until I go to Israel! So exciting!:iconlachoirplz:Doesn't seem real, still. I got an email from the American staff, introducing themselves. They both seem nice. They also want to form 4 committees for the: team trip journal, Shabbat, team T-shirt, Ruach or 'fun and games'. They said it's ok if you don't want to join one, so I won't. I don't need to do something extra.:iconkikuplz:

What's really funny, is they made a more official looking FB group and gave us the link to it. I was a part of one before, but it didn't seem as 'official'. It only had the bus number, this new one has the entire group number. Plus, a lot more people joined. So, I dropped that other group. So far, about 27 of the 40 members have joined it. Not too bad. There's also at least some commenting going on. I think I'm the only one from the northwest so far. Go me!:iconfrancisplz:The closest person to me is in southern California.:iconsleepygreeceplz:There's a couple of people from Canada too. Which kind of surprised me. But, it's ok.

The American staff also gave us their phone numbers, just in case something happens or we have questions on that day. Nice to have!:iconchibiamericaplz:I also got an email from Kesher. It was weird they were saying how excited they were to see me on Monday. My trip's not on Monday.:iconusaplz:Also, they asked me to explain more of what Bipolar disorder is. And, proceeded to tell me that there'll be very intensive activities. (Duh, I kind of gathered that!) It seemed weird to me. So, I'm trying to figure out what I should say in response.:iconchibijapanplz:

I didn't have much time to post the last couple of days. Went to the Hadassah meeting Wednesday night. It was kind of cool that everyone was excited for me. They almost seemed more excited than I was.:iconseychelles-plz:Also, it marked our 2 year anniversary as a group. Mom had a little thing on Tu B'Shevat. And, we talked about coming up with some sort of fundraiser. Other than the Mahj tournament. We also have a Rabbi who's speaking to us next month. So, we were trying to come up with ideas or topics for her to talk about. There was also a lot of good food this time. There was: really good little vegetarian sandwiches, Mom brought Kasha, deviled eggs, potato salad, pita chips, hummus, tuna and pasta salad, vegetables with dip, a squash casserole (not my thing...), and something else. For dessert, dried mango, nuts, chocolates, cake to celebrate the anniversary, and dried apricots. All very tasty!:iconchibispainplz:

Tu B'Shevat started that night, and ended yesterday. But, Mom's going to lead a seder for it this Saturday. I love this holiday. It's the New Year for the Trees.   Literally, it means the 15th of Shevat. We celebrate all the things trees provide for us. So, we eat our way through the seder with different fruits, nuts, and 4 cups of wine or grape juice. The cups represent the seasons. We're supposed to have up to 10 (I think) different fruits and nuts. The seder has Kabbalistic roots. The fruits have several meanings. They say eating 10 specific fruits and drinking 4 cups of wine in a specific order while reciting the appropriate blessings, would bring human beings, and the world closer to spiritual perfection.:iconhappychinaplz:We eat from the 7 species (or categories) that were abundant in Israel. They are: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives and dates. There's a lot more to it, but gives you the gist.

Got a bunch of stuff I still needed for the trip, too. A travel journal, SD card for my camera, batteries- again for the camera (it eats through them so fast:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:), my eye solution for my contacts, and a couple of other things. They seem like small things, but they're important. I tried shaving my legs with that new razor. It's not the best one, but I look a bit better at least.:iconpolandplz:

I've Been Married to Hell was hilarious! Also, I ended up liking her sister-in-law more. When she's nervous, she becomes very selfish. In this episode, she was pregnant. Towards the end of it, everyone wanted to help her and she lashed out. Kimiko lashed back at her. Knocking some sense into her. It seems to me Kimiko keeps the family together, even though she says she can't stand them. Now, they want her to move in with them.:iconenglandispervyplz:

Bloody Monday 2 was awesome!:dummy:They saved Sawagita's son, captured Hornet, J collapsed and his heart stopped, Otoya was shot in the neck and is bleeding out, the 'Professor' is actually working for the Prime Minister (Otoya's father), the terrorists are still preparing for the bomb, and other stuff all in one episode. It's really amazing this season! I hope neither J or Otoya die. J became more emotional or 'human' since he found out he was dying. Third-i is offering him a chance to talk to his sister, if he gives them all the info he knows. He agreed to it, but that's when he collapsed. His sister has gone insane, so it should be interesting what they do with her. I'm thinking of replacing Orthros no Inu. I'm not crazy about it.

deviantART faves: Almond Truffle Bunny Chibi Kiku Pistachio Truffle Bunny I did not make these! The first and last ones are a part of a project that one of the artists I watch is doing. She made 18 of these bunnies, and everyday she's going to post one. This is until the Chinese New Year, which will be the year of the rabbit. It's somewhat of a countdown for her. They're kind of cute. I like them so far. Second, a cute drawing of chibi Japan, from Hetalia. Funny how they put a little doll of South Korea next to him.

Bubble Bath Day!

Mood::iconchibiswedenplz:

This is actually tomorrow. Nice! Sounds like a relaxing day.:iconthailandplz:I haven't had a bath in a long time. Maybe I should tomorrow or something. It's also National English Toffee Day tomorrow. Tasty stuff!:iconitalyplz:

I haven't been feeling very well the last couple of days.:iconlietplz:I feel really warm most of the day, and like I'm going to throw up. Then, my head starts to throb. Yay!:iconyaykumajiroplz:Anyways, that's why I haven't posted in a while. I also had problems with my taskbar. I thought for sure I had a virus or something.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:But turns out, at some point, I had unlocked it and it moved. It's never happened before, but that would explain it.:iconchibijapanplz:It was a thin bar that only showed the time and had all the icons in a row. I like to have the icons in a block, and to see the date too. It just looked wrong.:iconchibilithuaniaplz:I'm glad I figured it out though.

We went to Costco yesterday!:dummy:Haven't gone in so long. Got a ton of good food again. Most of it lasts for a couple of months at least.:iconchibicanadaplz:We got some bagels, those individual humus packet things (I love these!), pearl couscous salad, chicken teriyaki meatballs, a huge crate of oranges, pita chips, something that they call 'Morning Buns' (like a cross between a cinnamon roll and muffin. None of the gooey icing, sadly. Really tasty, though!:iconitalyplz:), more bread, panko breaded tilapia (we like the cod version more, but it wasn't there), dates, some biscotti, and many more things. We had the garlic chicken (I think the mix is from Bird's Eye) for dinner. It was so good! I love that stuff!:iconchibispainplz:Plus the vegetables stay crisp and are in huge chunks. We started off with me wheeling Mom in a wheel chair while she steered a cart. (They didn't have any scooters available.) So, technically I was pushing the cart and the wheel chair around.:iconromanoplz: Eventually, we did what we ended up doing last time. Park the cart somewhere close, wheel her around, pick out what we want, and drop off the stuff at the cart then come back to her. It was still quite a workout. And, on top of that, we hit the crowd in the middle of the store. So, it was even harder to maneuver around people.:iconohboyamericaplz:After that, I still had to load everything in the car, and unload it once we were home. I was exhausted.:faint:That took up most of the day.

I still haven't gotten my itinerary and info for my trip to Israel.:hmm:They said in the last email they sent, that it would be 3-4 weeks before we go. We have 19 days left.:iconusaplz:I went around to see if I just didn't get the stuff. (Like maybe if it was in my spam.) The main site still didn't have their 'pre-trip central' section up yet for my group. There's only 4 Facebook groups that have been made through the organization, and they're for earlier trips. Supposedly, those weren't open until 2 and half weeks before their trip. Isn't that cutting it a bit close?:iconkikuplz:Now, I'm really not sure if I should contact them at the moment. Maybe I'll wait until tomorrow. If I don't get anything by Sunday, it's definitely time to contact them.:iconhongkongplz:Meanwhile, I looked at the sample itinerary again, just to get a feel, and looked at the places a little more closely. A lot of it looked amazing.:iconchibihungaryplz:I can't wait!:iconlachoirplz:I hope somebody's coming from this area, and might be leaving on the same plane to NYC. It would make the ride there much nicer.:iconchibisitalyplz:

One of my penpals from Japan mailed me something.:iconseychelles-plz:I haven't heard from her in like 7 months. Sadly, I almost forgot about her.:iconnorwayunimpressedplz:I think maybe after a couple of months of not hearing from her, I thought she wasn't going to respond. She apologized for how late her letter was, but she's very sick.:iconraivisplz:She remembered my birthday, and gave me a really nice pair of chopsticks. Also, gave me a card, and some pamphlets on her hometown. All very sweet, but out of the blue. Now, I'll have to send her stuff. Or, I'll feel very guilty. I feel bad that she's so sick too.

I tried to watch I've Been Married to Hell, but the only part that was available was the first 15 minutes of it. So, next week I'll skip to the next episode. Don't think I'll miss much. It's a hilarious series! Bloody Monday 2 was amazing! I hate that they killed off Maya. She was one of my fave characters.:iconprussiaplz:They made you think through most of the series that she was 'evil'. When in fact, she was working for the prime minister. She was perfect!:iconheroamericaplz:I just don't want J to die. Sounds funny, because he really is a villain. It's a matter of time before he dies of radiation poisoning, though. He's an awesome character, but not as awesome as Maya was.:iconchibiaustriaplz:And, apparently, K is still alive. Today, I'll try to find another drama for Thursday's, and watch Kiina.
