Make My Day

Mood::iconicelandfukkiretaplz:

By Yui Aragaki. A fun and motivating song. Yui is a model, voice actress or seiyuu, actress, singer, occasionally a radio host, and former U-15 idol. She debuted as a singer in 2007. I like her sound. I guess I should also look for more of her songs.:iconberwaldplz:

It was somewhat cold Friday and yesterday. Today's right around normal. Yay! I'd take normal over being 5-10 degrees cooler.:iconswissplz:Today's my dad's birthday! Happy birthday to her!:party:Next Saturday, we're thinking of celebrating by going to Himalayan Chutney's buffet. They only have it during lunch time, and not on Sunday. It would be nice to try bits of their other stuff.:iconthailandplz:I'm still feeling sick, and trying not to throw up. So far I haven't. I'm hoping I'm much better tomorrow, so I can get things done.:iconchibiswedenplz:

We didn't go to services yesterday.:iconpolandplz:I was feeling too sick, and I think mom wasn't feeling very good either. Next week, we're hoping to make it to our cantor's baby's naming ceremony. That should be fun. The Friday night after that, there's a Pride Shabbat. I'm still debating whether I should go.:iconkikuplz:One of the many sponsors is Birthright Next. So, there might be some people my age. It's important to Dad, too. There's food. That's always a plus.:iconchibinitalyplz:And, I've been to the temple it'll be at. We'll see.

Finished watching Guilty on Friday. I hate to spoil it, but it's very sad. Almost a Romeo and Juliet-esque ending. Both Meiko and, I'm still unsure, Takuro die. Meiko poisoned herself, and once Takuro saw it, he immediately kissed her. And, ingested some of it as well. I was a little surprised that the person behind it all was her employer at the dog grooming shop. It seemed like a bit of a stretch and they didn't really explain it well.:iconchibijapanplz:I actually ended up liking that weird creepy reporter a lot, just as they killed him off. I could have done with a little more humor in the series. I know it's a very 'serious' situation she was in, but a little humor would have taken the edge off. I didn't quite like the acting. Even though, there's a few actors I love that were from other shows. It must have been the directing or something.:iconwtfromanoplz:I liked most of it, but it wasn't a top fave.:no:

Finished Shibatora today. I really loved this series!:love:Sad that it ended already. I was a bit surprised again, that the original onigami would be Miduki. I suspected it towards the beginning, but then she got assimilated so much into Taketora's group or family, it seemed a stretch after a while. I was starting to suspect Hokuta's new cop girlfriend. Thinking she was too nice to him. I'm glad it all worked out, and none of the characters I grew attached to, died. Everybody wanted Ochiai dead or behind bars. Even his followers. So, it wasn't a surprised that he'd be killed off. And, I guess it was even less a surprise that Miduki would kill him. He messed her father up, messed with everyone she cared about, threatened her, and was frustrated that the police couldn't really do anything about him. All in all, this was a really good series. Perfect amount of humor as well.
Started another drama on Saturday. It's called Majo Saiban or Witch Trial. It's awesome so far! Toru is a part-time designer, and is called in as a juror in the trial of a woman who's been labeled a 'witch'. She's charged with a murder over an enormous inheritance. In this first episode half the jury immediately thinks she's guilty. It seems there's a strange organization that's starting to set up strange events, to 'influence' the jury. It feels almost as suspenseful as Bloody Monday was. I hope they can keep that up. Plus, they've somehow thrown a tiny bit of humor in. Although, it's dark humor. I like that kind of thing, so it's another plus.
Watched a Japanese movie called Ai wa Mieru or Love Sees. This was really good! It's about the lives of a blind woman who's a singer-songwriter, Juri, and her husband, Kouta, who's also blind. (He's a guitarist and masseur.) And, later, having a normal seeing baby. The couple overcomes many difficulties. She struggled, but Juri finally gets her debut. People used to push her to the side because of her disability. There were some hilarious moments, but mostly touching/trying ones. This was based off of an autobiographical novel, of the same name, by Satoko Tatemichi. I'd definitely recommend this one.

deviantART fave: Sweet melody I did not make this! Really good looking cupcakes. With very 'artsy' decorations. Music theme was nice.

A very fitting Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei AMV. It was inspired by the person seeing/hearing 3 of the openings to the series. It captures the trippiness well:

Take Off

Mood::iconchibipolandplz:

By 2PM. 2PM's a South Korean band of 6 members. It's one of the 2 subgroups that branched out from an 11-member band, One Day. The other one is 2AM. I like their sound. This is the ending theme to the anime, Ao no Exorcist, or Blue Exorcist. Which has been awesome so far!:la:The song's kind of fun, too.

It was really nice and warm again. I like that it's been warm enough, I can actually go outside without a jacket.:iconnorwayunimpressedplz: Worked more on the comic essay in You Maga. Read a bit more of Dune. Due to using a different system than I'm used to for reading Hetalia, the manga version, I spent most of the time I set aside for it figuring out where I was.:iconnataliaplz:So, next week, I'll be where I should be. It's quite different than what mangafox was like.:iconusaplz:

I just started something a little different with my hair.:iconchibinitalyplz:A while back I followed the advice of someone. They said I shouldn't brush my hair, unless it was absolutely necessary. Also, try to comb conditioner through it in the shower. Well, the combing conditioner through it thing, I think, still damaged my hair pretty badly. It wasn't as bad as before, but it was like ripping my hair out. The conditioner seemed to slip right off, instead of working its way in.:iconromanoplz:Hair ended up being straw-like, and still had lots of split-ends. So, I decided that maybe I shouldn't even comb it in the shower. It's already looking and feeling so much better. I can really work in the conditioner this way. I'm starting to get these nice spiral-y ringlet things.:iconchibihungaryplz:I'd settle for that. Also, decided to give that split-end mender stuff a chance. Every time I apply it, it feels really sticky, though.:iconwtfromanoplz:

Watched Guilty. It's getting even more 'angst-y'.:iconkikuplz:I don't really like those type of dramas.:iconlietplz:But, I'm almost done with it, and I want to know who's behind the whole thing. I know Ukita is a crooked cop, and they said that someone higher up ordered him to do some of the stuff he did. So, who's the 'higher up'? They finally got rid of Mizoguchi. He was creepy.:iconchibichinaplz:After he fell into a pit that was doused with kerosene, and accidentally dropped his lighter, he burst into flames. Fitting for how he killed his victims. The only problem I had with it, is Meiko was still covered in kerosene but stayed dangerously close to the fiery pit. If she did that in real life, I'm pretty sure she'd catch fire as well.:onfire:Other than that, it was pretty good.
In Gintama, Gintoki, Kagura, Shinpachi, and Zenzo were trying to protect Sachan from the Punishers. She finally went back to her old glasses with the right prescription, and they transformed her. (Like the stereotypical magical girl anime shows.) She also started shooting lazer beams through them. In the end, she put glasses with the wrong prescriptions on all of the Punishers. It was hilarious!

Tomorrow's my mom's birthday!:party:I hope she has a good one. We're going to an adult B'not Mitzvot. I think we know all 4 of them. So that should be nice.:iconchibicanadaplz:And, I think there's usually a lunch at the end as well. Another added bonus.:iconseychelles-plz:I should get back into reading the portions for each week. Usually I forget, though.:iconswissplz:Instead, if we go to services, I get a quick summary of it there. After that, my parents are going to celebrate her birthday at a fancy restaurant. Can't afford for me to go.:icontinoplz:Oh, well. I hope they have a nice time. I'll just have the Tony's Philly Cheese Steak pouch things we bought today. It's cheap, yet oh so good!:iconitalyplz:I decided I didn't feel like making Snickerdoodles, and we forgot to get a special dessert at the store. So, regular cookies from the cookie jar it is!:dummy:They're not bad. Just not very Shabbat-y.:iconicelandfukkiretaplz:We'll have beef ravioli with a jarred garlic sauce tonight. Easy, and good.:iconchibispainplz:Next week's my parents' anniversary. So, another weekend where I won't get to go out for dinner.:iconohboyamericaplz:But, that's ok. They should have a good time together alone.:iconchibiaustriaplz:

Also, tomorrow Birthright Next in Seattle is having a Lag B'Omer BBQ and bonfire at a beach. It's for people aged 22-32. So, it's my age group. It's free, I would just have to RSVP just so they know how many people will be there. They'll provide some kosher meats, BBQ supplies, drinks, and some snacks. They just ask if people want to, they can bring a non-dairy side. It would have been awesome if it was right next to where my parents are going for their dinner. Sadly, it's not.:iconwtfukplz:I wouldn't have any other way of getting to them. Safely anyways. They said to bring instruments if you have them to jam with others, bring frisbees, and any other games. Sounds great. Hopefully, they'll have another event like this soon, like during the summer.:iconfrancisplz:

deviantART fave: The TinierMeme I did not make this! A very interesting meme based on your Selfy from TinierMe. I haven't drawn my Selfy yet. A long time ago, I did my Gaia avatar. So, it will be a good one to do. When I get to it.

Youtube:
Kind of a sad song about the Kaito Vocaloid longing to know what it's like to be human. A lot of people seem to make him sing these type of songs. It's very interesting:

Astaire

Mood::iconnorwayfukkiretaplz:

By Suemitsu and the Suemith. This is the theme song for the Jdrama, Hanayome wa Yakudoshi or The Pretend Bride. It's very fitting to the series.:iconchibinitalyplz:It has a nice beat, too. I like his voice. Suemitsu and the Suemith is a Japanese solo project headed by Suemitsu Atsushi. He performs piano and vocals for the project. Supposedly, he's best known for performing the opening and 2nd ending theme for the anime, Nodame Cantabile. That's all I could find on Suemitsu. Kind of weird.:iconkikuplz:Maybe I'll look at more of his songs.

SUEMITSU & THE SUEMITH - ASTAIRE by SilentMic

It's been a little cooler than yesterday, and grey looking. Mother's Day still looks like it's going to be rainy and cold.:iconohboyamericaplz:The day after looks better. Did my nails!:iconchibipolandplz:Haven't done them in so long. It says the color is 'Dune Rose'. It's kind of interesting. But, one of my more 'normal' colors. For some reason, doing my nails is calming to me. So, it was really nice.:iconchibihungaryplz:

Watched more of Guilty. It's getting pretty intense, and suspenseful. A bit surprising that the reporter's in on Meiko's plan for revenge. Really thought she wanted to kill him. Yet, he's supplying info on people for her. I kind of feel sorry for him. He seems like a jerk most of the time, though. Mashima and Meiko are getting dangerously close to each other. Meiko finally knows about him being a detective, but Mashima has no clue that she knows. I'm suspecting the chief of police is the killer or the one who paid someone else to kill for him. He's so twisted. The only problem I had with this episode was it seemed really slow. Enough of the long stares, get to more of the action and mystery!:iconromanoplz:
Gintama was surprisingly serious in this episode. Although, it did manage to throw in some pretty hilarious moments. Just not as much as usual. It starts with Catherine being engaged. Falling in love drastically changed her appearance and personality. He told her that he suddenly went bankrupt and wanted to move to another city. She decides to go with him and start her own bar. No one picked her up from the train station. The place he told her was going to be turned into a bar, was a lie. He took all her money, that she was saving up to help her fulfill her dream. Trying to finally make it on her own, she refuses to go back to working at the snack bar, and tries to work at a strip club. After finding out, Gintoki finds her ex and beats up him and his gang. And, gets the money back. Otose finds Catherine in a box just trying to stay warm and clutching an expensive wine bottle. The one Otose threw at her when she left, saying it was 'cheap'. She takes her in again, saying there's more she needs to learn before she gets serious. I like them, and they hardly ever get air time. Their background story is somewhat sad.
I love how Hetalia throws in cultural misunderstandings. Makes for some awkward, yet hilarious moments. Like, in Japan they don't openly hug and kiss like that, unless they're lovers. In Italy, it's just how they greet people. Sealand was introduced. It's kind of sad how no one ever recognizes him as a country. Even in the movie. He's apparently 'too small'. Someone hijacks Estonia's blog, and turns it into a Russia fan site. He suspects Russia did it, and investigates it with the help of America. Turned out it was just another  Estonian. Mangafox apparently doesn't have the entire manga up. So, I looked around. There's a community on Livejournal that's been translating scanlations of it for a couple of years. So, they had an up to date listing of the manga. They also watch the mangaka's blog and post his sketches and extras on there. Almost as soon as he's posted it to his blog. (Kind of creepy!:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:) Sometimes, they even repost his blog post in English. They also have a lot of fanart and fanfics. I joined it, even though I barely ever use LJ. Should be interesting. And, I can continue to read it.:iconicelandmochiplz:

Finished that You Maga article on my horoscope. They say people with my sign have a sweet tooth, and to watch out. If you have any health concerns, immediately see your doctor. Wow.:iconchibijapanplz:I don't think I have too big of a sweet tooth. Usually, I have dessert and that's it as far as sweets go. I don't have a craving for it any other time. I guess I'm not like my sign, that way.:shrug:Read more of Dune. Now it's exciting. I'm about 160 pages in, and there's finally some action, tension, and suspense. I know you have to build up the story, but that's a long time to do it.:iconlietplz:

I don't have to cook tonight. Mom's making meatloaf, risotto, and some sort of vegetable. We'll probably grab a dessert at the store while we're getting our challah. I love her meatloaf, and the risotto's really good too.:iconchibispainplz:

deviantART fave: Tangerine Candied Fruit I did not make this! These look really good!
