It's official! I'm going to Israel! So happy!Had my phone interview (finally!) this morning. It was, maybe, 2 minutes long.I was so excited that I actually got the call, I was shaking. It sounds funny, now. They asked questions like where were you born, what congregation are you apart of, are your parents Jewish, do you identify as Jewish, etc. After a lot of those questions she sounded surprised. I guess I'm unique. Now, I might seriously look up stuff on it. I know a lot about Israel, but learning a bit more couldn't hurt.Maybe a little more conversational Hebrew, just for fun, too.
I was feeling pretty crummy just before they called. So, it made my day. I changed the look of my Selfy on TinierMe. (In pic.) It's a bit weird, but I tried to do it Halloween-themed. I like their Chrystal Legend Gacha, and just got a bunch of stuff from that. I like their Halloween present, too.By the way, if I don't get to posting on Halloween, hope everyone has a great one! It's still one of my fave holidays. People get to dress up, eat candy, party, and watch scary movies. What's better than that?
In Hetalia, Grandpa Rome shows up at Germany's house. Germany just thinks he's a suspicious person. Rome wanted to visit his grandson Italy. Which Germany also didn't realize was asleep at his place. Rome gives him some history lessons on himself. Germany knows it all, though. He then cooks some ancient Roman-style cuisine. Germany's final question is: If he's really Rome, why did he disappear? He just says that's a difficult question and leaves. Later, it's Rome and Germania. All Rome seems to want to talk about is women, wine, and fighting. Japan visits Greece's home. He shows Japan around the ruins. They talk about mythology, and Sparta. Turkey shows up out of no where and they start fighting.
Shiki's been a bit creepy, yet interesting. I feel sorry for Natsuno's friend. Kaori's dad seems to be next. It started to drag a bit in this episode. Not very much suspense, and it's getting slightly stale. I hope the next episode's better.
deviantART fave: Cat Chocolate Walnut Cream Cupcake I I did not make these! First, another funny drawing from that same artist who did Cat Bacon. For some reason this one looks cuter. He's making these into shirts. Second, a very artfully done cupcake. Looks tasty. The flower on top's an interesting touch.

National Chocolate Day!
Mood:
Wow! A day set aside just for chocolate!I love most chocolate. The only ones I don't particularly care for, are the really dark. Like 100% dark. The rest is awesome! We've got some Nutella and hot chocolate. I should have some later.
Bloody Monday's getting even more intense.I think Fujimaru's dad is just spying on the terrorist organization. He's not actually 'working' for them. Just wants to protect his daughter. J seems like an odd leader for the group. They underestimated Fujimaru big time. But, I think his friend's even smarter.
Worked on another character's info. Started translating the first article in the North American Post. I really just got around to the title. It was a bit long. It's about the 13th annual local Fall Matsuri or Festival (秋祭り). There's a big Japanese population in this area. Kind of cool. I didn't know there was a matsuri here.
In Dear, they're still at the party. The Punitive Squad are working there. Kisara has to dress like a woman, according to the captain. Supposedly, the captain wants to lower the enemy's guard down. The target's a demon in the shape of an animal. They hear about what happened to Chiruha, and check it out. Chiruha and Komomo manage to get out of the room they fell into. They find out the patron is going to auction off baby demons. That's illegal. So, he tries to bribe them into keeping silent. When that doesn't work, he tries to shoot them. But, Subaru shoots him instead. The captain and Kisara's team show up right after. The squad's doctor asks if Komomo wanted to come along with the Punitive Squad. Subaru and Kisara were both worried about the girls. Kisara warns Chiruha to stay away from Subaru. He just doesn't trust him. He's also a bit jealous, that she'd say Subaru's handsome, but Kisara's cute. He forgot he was wearing the dress entirely. He even went into the men's room and freaked out one of the guys.
In Naruto Shippuden, it was yet another flashback. It's getting a bit annoying. There were a few 'new' things. The village's still recovering. Kankuro's worried that Konoha will be attacked again by the Akatsuki. This time it will be without their Hokage. Gaara thinks they'll be ok, since they have Naruto. I watched this week's episode, and it was another flashback. Only, this time it was funny enough to stay and watch it.They think Naruto has a deadly chakra virus. So, throughout most of the episode, they're trying to capture him. Next week's looks like another flashback. When are they going to actually continue the story?
I worked more on Max's head. He's turning out much better than I thought he would. It actually looks like a skull. And, it should. So, I guess I'm doing something right. I like the effect it gives.
deviantART faves: Clothing Reference Cat Bacon Chibi Tutorial I did not make these! First, a nice way to put down as reference what your OCs would normally wear in those situations. Second, a funny/cute drawing of a cat eating bacon. This is something from one of the artists I watch. It may be a bit weird for some. Especially, since it has no arms or legs. But, it fits his oddness. Look at his other stuff, and you'll know what I mean. He makes awesome games too! Third, I've been looking for a chibi tutorial lately. I know they seem so simple, but mine seem to always turn out weird. So, it was good to find.

Another one of those awesome tributes to Hetalia. Very fitting:

Hana ni Nare (花になれ)
Mood:
By Flumpool. On JpopAsia, it's translated as Become a Flower. Really cool imagery in the lyrics. Also, nice vocals and the music is awesome in the background.Makes for an instant fave, for me at least. The main phrase in English: "Laugh, cry, sing, become a flower. Be in full bloom and one day overflow with radiance." Cool!
It's really nice and sunny out.Worked more on another character's basic info. I'm done with making an English version of the udon wrapper. Next time, I might start translating an article from The North American Post. I'm already translating and writing out an article from You Maga, that I do at night. So, I have to translate something during the day.Plus, I do it a bit different during the day.
In O-Parts Hunter, Stea government has the 7th Sephiroth. Their president is the Phantom Amaterasu Priestess. Every 4 years, Rock Bird holds an OPT tournament. They're letting any OPT enter it. Jio's group lands there, and enters the competition. (But, I thought Kirin wasn't an OPT?)
In Fairy Tail, the guild's in ruins. Natsu won against Gajeel. Erza was about to be killed by Jose, but Makarov saved her when he showed up. Then, it was Makarov vs Jose. Mystagon destroyed most of Phantom's branch guilds, by himself.Makarov used Fairy Law. The righteous light slays the darkness, as Erza put it. It slays only that which the caster believes is the enemy. It was considered legend before. Makarov didn't kill Jose, he just wanted to punish him severely. But, if Jose tries anything again, he'd kill him. So, in the end Fairy Tail won! Not a surprise, but awesome fights.
I'll have to wait for next time to scan my drawings for the meme. So, I worked on Max's head. Which is part of another project I started a while ago. I'm drawing out all my characters' faces. Just to get a brief feel of what the characters look like on paper. And, they're all together this way too.Max is a skeleton, so I'm learning how to draw a skull at the same time. More ways to improve my drawing skills.

Magic
Mood:
By Ai Otsuka. A cool, cute, and a bit trippy, song. It's about the 'magic' of love. It sounds a bit familiar, something I liked a few years ago. Don't remember what that was though.
It's really cold today.I don't think we'll hit 50. Worked a bit on Shadow's info sheet. (He's my main character.) Played some more Irish tunes. It was ok. Fumbled a bit more than yesterday. But, I still couldn't breathe very well through my nose. I finished translating the last little bit of the udon wrapper. So, I'm totally finished with it.I just want to make an English version of it for myself. Which won't take much time. In fact, I think I'm already halfway through it. Not sure what else I'll work on. We'll see.
In Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Nozomu said that an endangered species is something not limited to animals only. Examples: Elementary school boy collecting stamps. Mac users praying before launching their computers. Later, they did a 100 scary stories theme. There's an old tradition in Japan where people gather in a room and light 100 candles. Then, they start telling ghost/scary stories. After each story, they blow out a candle. Instead of scary stories, they end up telling recycled jokes from previous chapters. Sensei says in a way, that's even scarier than ghost stories.
In Psychic Detective Yakumo, the case was called the Curse of the White Fox. People think that a fox shrine is haunted. Yakumo lives with his uncle at a shrine nearby. His uncle's a Buddhist monk. Turns out the physical stuff, like breaking glass and throwing things was a hoax. A man named Irie, had a butler that didn't want him to tear down the shrine. And, tried to scare him from doing so. There really was a ghost there in a fox mask. She was waiting for Irie. They were supposed to meet at one of the fox shrines. One was told to meet at one, while the other was told another shrine. They never connected. After she died, her spirit still waited. When he realized that was the shrine she was at, he saw her, and she moved on. Kind of sad.
I finished fixing and inking the Bitter slot. So, I'm done with the drawing part. Soon, I'll scan/work on it in Photoshop. He looks really different in each one.Like his horns change position, his hair isn't quite the same, and I think a couple of his heads are slightly smaller. I don't know if that gives the impression of movement or something.I guess I'll see when I work on it.
deviantART fave: Watercolor: Beagle II This one really reminds me of Buster. Such a Buster position. And maybe what every other Beagle does.
