It was nice and sunny today. Every once in a while the clouds rolled in, but it wasn't bad.I haven't been feeling very well these last couple of days, and I slept in. So, haven't had much time to post.Yesterday, I fixed chapter 12. So, that character that I forgot is back in the story. Reposted that edited version to dA. Started fixing chapter 13. I'm not finished with that one, so it won't take as long. But, I really think this chapter's going to turn out different than I thought. Maybe it will be better?

Made this last night. It's called Fritada de Espinaca. Or, Spinach and Cheese Fritada. Took a lot longer than I expected, and I started later than I was hoping to. Ended up being about 8:30 by the time we ate it. This is a Jewish Italian/Spanish recipe. These Jews moved from Italy to Spain, so their cuisine was influenced by both countries. Interesting. It was really good.Lots of feta and spinach. The potatoes were an interesting touch. 


Looked at our Indian cookbooks. Didn't find as many recipes as I thought I would. Here's some of them: ground lamb curry, potato curry, chicken in a red sweet pepper sauce, chicken mulligatawny soup, crisp semolina shortbread. Today, I'll look at our Egyptian ones. Then, tomorrow it's the Polish cookbooks. 


I just got finished making a Russian Apple Charlotte. They nickname it Guest-at-the-Doorstep. Mom helped with it. Since I'm not used to baking yet.It smells so good!I can't wait to have it tonight! Mom's making a salmon thing for dinner.

In Naruto Shippuden, Sakura made a fake love confession to Naruto in order to lure him back to the village. He saw right through it. I'm starting to not like Sakura anymore. She's kind of a pain. Killer Bee is being attacked by Kisame. Kisame hasn't made much of an appearance lately. And when he appears, it feels like there's not much they reveal about him. He finally unwrapped his 'sword', the Samehada. (In pic.) Kind of crazy looking. Someone said that he's almost like a jinchuuriki. In the preview, it looks like he turns into a shark. It's going to be a battle between him and an octopus (Killer Bee). Interesting.

This one's Hungary's national drink. Third, Edgar Allen Poe themed cupcakes. Kind of nifty. Fourth, an interesting comic featuring Vietnam from Hetalia inspired by the Learn Chinese with Yao. I now have both comics in my faves. Vietnamese seems really difficult. Fifth, a commission by an artist I watch of someone's oc called Baroque. It's cool.

By W&Whale. This song's funny, upbeat, and motivating. I love Whale's voice! It showcases it well. The video's hilarious, too. Very creative. Kind of like a video game.

It's been a cloudy and nasty looking out lately. Although, today it's slightly warmer. Yay!Had a rough night Monday night, and so I got up late. Didn't have much time to post. Got up late today, because Rosie was yelling at me throughout most of the night.But, it sounded like she didn't attack Tasha. So that's good. We saw Tasha come out of her 'hole' for a bit last night. She slowly checked her food and water bowls, sat for a minute, and slowly went upstairs. That's quite an improvement, I think.Usually, she's hiding because she's too scared of the other one attacking. 

Yay! I've started cooking from those recipes I listed from our cookbooks!Made the bottom dish Monday night, and the top last night. Monday's was a Sephardic dish from Rhodes called Baked Fish in Tomato Sauce. (Sephardic- Jews from the Mediterranean/Spain/parts of Africa/South America.) It's more like an onion 'sauce', than tomato.Next time, I'll put more tomatoes in and not as many onions as they say.I served it on top of Israeli couscous and made a salad as a side. It was pretty good.The one from last night was an Italian dish called Minestra Di Pasta All'Uovo E Piselli, or Pasta and Pea Soup. Mom helped make the garlic bread on the side. It was good and fresh tasting.Just needed something like a little garlic. I added parmesan to my bowl after I took the pic. It was optional, and they said to have it on the side, so people can put as much as they want in. Perfect for Dad, since she hates cheese. But, it did make it even more flavorful.


I also looked at our Mexican cookbooks. Added a lot more recipes to my list than I thought I would.Found a couple of drink recipes. (Obviously, non-alcoholic.) A walnut nut soup that sounds awesome!Mexican Rice, which I think I've made before. It's really good. Also found a really good looking dessert. There were a few other great things on my list, too. Then, I looked at our Spanish cookbooks. The other day, I thought we had a lot more than we did.Oh well. Found a Gazpacho, a potato soup, and another dessert recipe that are peaches baked in red wine. There's a couple more on the list for that, as well. Today, I'm hoping to go through our German cookbooks. Then, it will be our Russian ones tomorrow. Kind of exciting!It'll feel like we're visiting these countries/regions for a night. I'm thinking of also finding out what they usually drink with their meals, and having traditional music in the background. I hope I continue this cooking 'itch' I have. I'm starting to have a lot of fun with it.


I'll have to take a break from cooking tonight.We're going to a Hadassah meeting. They'll have a Pampered Chef thing as the 'event'. Don't have to bring any food, because they'll be making food for us. We just need to give them $2. 

Started an anime called Gosick. It's still airing, so it's pretty new. I'm liking it so far. Seems a bit 'unique'.It takes place in 1924 in a small, French-speaking fictional European country called Sauville. The story centers on Kujo, an exchange student from Japan who transfers to a school called St Marguerite Academy. Urban legends and horror stories are very popular there. There he meets Victorica, a mysterious yet beautiful and brilliant girl. She never goes to class, and spends her days reading all the books at the library or solving mysteries that even detectives can't solve. I like the premise, too. It's got plenty of humor, quirky characters, and it's a mystery anime. That alone's a win for me.

Not sure if I can do it for 30 straight days. That is finish a drawing everyday. But, I might try it eventually. Second, another funny installment of StupidFox. Another one for the Hetalia cup collab version. This one has England in Earl Grey tea. I think it's pretty well done.

By W&Whale. A relaxing and jazzy type song. Whale's voice really sets the tone. Amazing sound.  Kind of nice in between some loud music. I think it's good to have a mix. I'll probably get more music later. 





It's been nice and warm. A little warmer than normal.  Supposedly, we might be in the upper 90s this weekend. Hopefully, it won't be hard to get through. I forgot to mention that yesterday was Sewing Machine Day, and Vinyl Record Day. Those are 2 great inventions right there. They should have their own days. Today's International Left-Hander's Day, and the start of Kool-Aid Weekend. Go left-handers!  I'm not one, but I know they go through a lot each day. (Most things are made for right-hander's.) Kool-Aid's awesome!  I used to drink a lot of it during the summers. (Usually, the sugar free kind.) I just noticed, I haven't had it in a long time. It's also Friday the 13th. Some people think it's an unlucky/cursed day. Others, like us, consider 13 a lucky number. So, it's a lucky day for us! 


I saw my new therapist today. I think I like her. Might have a better feel of what she can do, next time. I told her about most of the stuff I'm going through at the moment, and she seemed a bit overwhelmed. I love how almost everyone I talk to seems to feel that way.  Just think what it's like for me! Hence, one of the many reasons for going to therapy.She likes that I'm becoming more observant (not sure if that was the word) with my religion. Her husband's family is Jewish. So, it was cool that she knew what I was talking about.They also made me fill out the forms again, since its been over a year from the last time I saw a therapist.  Oh, she asked me what works for me. I told her all I know is what hasn't worked. People who seem to be in an old mindset (I guess, like someone who's in their 60s thinking like someone in their 80s), jumping to conclusions (like, saying I need to be hospitalized immediately), acting like it's nothing (telling me it was all for attention), and some others. These were all from past experiences with therapists.  The one that thought it was for attention, realized later that it wasn't and I was in a serious situation. He kept calling me saying how sorry he was. Personally, I don't think any therapist should be like that. Because, if that person is doing it for attention, they may need even more help. She said she doesn't do any of those type of things, but if she does do anything I don't feel comfortable about or is out of line, I should tell her. That can be hard sometimes. We'll see what she's like on my next visit. 


I also went to get my prescription at our local clinic. At first, it was weird, because they just gave me the tiny pills. I take 2 of those twice a day, along with 1 big one twice a day. (They're the same med, just different doses. Its the combo that's worked for me.) Apparently, this combo is too confusing for our pharmacy.  We told them that my psychiatrist had filled it, and it even says on the bottle that I take it with the big pills. They looked over the info, and saw that the big ones had been under review, and were forgotten about. They were very apologetic, but that seems a bit ridiculous. They had a month's supply of the big ones lying around. So, later I'll put that prescription in again, and get the next month for those. At least, I'm set for a month now.

I finished the steps to the recipe. And, started putting together an English version of it. I might eventually translate the chef's profile. ➅➄をマフィンがたの半分の高さまで注いだら、丸めておいたあんを入れ、残りの➄を注ぐ。(6. 5. o mafin gata no hanbun no taka samade sosoidara, marumete oita an o ire, nokori no 5 o sosogu.) 6. and 5. Ara netsu ga toretara reizouko de hiya shite dekiagari. Toujitsu ga ichiban oishiku itadakemasu.) 7. After it's cooled, put it through cold water, and put in the refrigerator. Tastes best when eaten on the same day.

It's a funny drawing showing some of the countries with their animal friends. The only one who doesn't have one is Russia. I feel sorry for him, he seems to be so misunderstood. 

Well, this time for Shabbat dinner, Mom's making: pesto chicken, rosemary potatoes and peas. Good stuff, right there! For dessert, either those awesome glazed soft cinnamon twist, or an icecream bar. Which, has a really good tasting chocolate and nut shell around creamy vanilla icecream. Hmmm... Such decisions!
