National Pie Day!

Yay for pie! (This was on Monday, but why not continue celebrating it?) There are so many different kinds out there. They vary from savory to sweet. My fave dessert pies are: pecan, peach, cherry, Dutch apple, blueberry, and chocolate chess. I've made the chocolate chess pie one before, and it was awesome! (I should make it again sometime...) I've had a s'mores pie that comes close to being a fave, too. Today's National Apple Pie Day, so it's still relevant...

This is my wallpaper for December. It's Kuroko and Kagami from Kuroko no Basket or Kuroko's Basketball. They're the main characters of the series. Kuroko feels that he's Kagami's shadow while on the court. It's a bit of a play on his name. Kuro means black. He also is like a ghost while playing. Most of the time their opponent doesn't see his moves until it's too late. He's perfect at passing the ball that way. They don't notice him off the court either. (In fact, it may be worse when off court...Sometimes his own teammates don't notice him.) Kagami is very talented, but is a bit of a hot-head and jumps the gun on things. In a recent tournament game that I watched, he almost got all the fouls a player could get. (Almost disqualifying the team.) Kuroko also has a way of calming him down by sometimes punching him. Of course, he punches back, and it's meant in kind of a friendly way. I'm really liking this show so far, and glad I went back to it.I like basketball, so it's interesting to watch their strategies and plays. 

My Italy calendar features Umbria this time. It's a region in the center of Italy. The only region having neither a coastline nor a border with other countries. The capital is Perugia. The region is known to be like an artistic and cultural hub. It's hilly and has a lake called Trasimeno, waterfalls, and the River Tiber runs through it. There are quite a lot of famous places in the region like Assisi, Norcia, Gubbio, Spoleto, and others. A lot of the places in the pics look pretty rural. Today's (and yesterday's) pic's of a couple of friends chatting at a cafe. On the first, they had a farmhouse seemingly out in the middle of nowhere. It'd be interesting to see what the Paris calendar will be like for next month. Sounds like it might be better than this calendar. This one was good, but seemed very busy what with all those pics.

My Jewish calendar's main pic for this month's of a menorah, maker's anonymous, made out of brass; 1850-1900. They don't list the country that it originally came from. Maybe it's from Amsterdam, which is where the museum is located? It's one of those tall ones, and in a golden color. The second pic's of a menorah that's made out of silver; 1998. There's no mention of where it came from, or who the maker was.This one's pretty recent compared to what they've shown before. It's kind of 'modern' and odd looking to me. Each 'holder' is twisted and in columns, instead of in branches. The Shamash candle holder part is taller than the rest. Like many other menorahs. Others set it apart somehow. Like, in some traditional branched menorahs, it's right in the middle, coming from the main body while others are 'branching' away from it. The Shamash candle is like a 'leader' or 'helper'. It's lit first, and it lights the other candles in a certain order each night during Hanukkah. The last pic's of a kiddush cup, made by Daniel Henriques de Castro, made out of glass, from Amsterdam, Netherlands; 1856. It has a cool design etched into it. We use kiddush cups when we say the blessing over wine or grape juice. Usually that's during Shabbat and other holidays. I like seeing more of the older stuff. It's very interesting. 

Hanukkah is coming up on the night of the 16th. It's coming up pretty quickly!The last day's on the 24th, which is interesting. We might have a chance to go to a Chinese buffet during Christmas Eve on that night. (Dad has an appointment that day, which might make it easier to just go to the buffet afterwards...) It's kind of a traditional thing to do for Jews during that time. It's either that and/or going to a movie. I think it's because everyone who celebrates Christmas won't be out, and those are the few places that tend to be open during that time. So, it's not all that crowded then, either. Plus, some Chinese buffets run specials during Christmas Eve through the next day. 

There was only one month-long holiday that I thought was interesting: National Egg Nog Month. There really weren't that many listed. I love eggnog!Obviously not the traditional kind with alcohol...But, it's silky smooth, and has an awesome flavor. Recently got an eggnog latte at Starbucks, and it was really good. Better than the gingerbread one was. 

Went to a friends' place for Thanksgiving. The couple has been friends with our family for a very long time. They usually host Thanksgiving dinner, and invite us to celebrate New Year's Eve, sometimes Hanukkah, and Passover at their place. There have been very few times where they called off their Thanksgiving dinner. They also smoke their turkey. It's really good.Some years they have a lot of guests, and some...not so much. This time there was only 5 people all together. Including the hosts. 

We brought the salad, someone brought some candied carrots (I normally like honeyed carrots, but these were even sweeter. Wasn't my thing...) and cornbread. Our salad had dried cranberries, walnuts, shredded carrots, and cherry tomatoes along with a greens mix. We brought Caesar salad dressing, and a raspberry vinaigrette. The Caesar one seemed to be very popular...The hosts did the turkey like usual, gravy, stuffing (with chestnuts, which I hate. I always end up picking them out), orange cranberry relish (another thing I'm not fond of. They usually get canned cranberry sauce as an alternative, as they did this time. I think adding orange to it destroys the sauce...), sweet potato pie (something I really can't stand), and there might have been something else that's not coming to mind...The person who brought the carrots, also brought 3 different pies and caramel ice cream for dessert. The pies were: sweet potato (made to look like pumpkin pie), pecan, and apple. I hate sweet potatoes, so I stayed away from that. The pecan one was really good.The apples in the apple pie were too soft. It almost felt like they became apple cake instead. The topping was good, though. And, overall it wasn't a horrible pie, just weird.I heard that she used pumpkin pie seasoning for the sweet potato one. One of the hosts said it was just ok. So, oddly, I didn't have pumpkin pie this year. Usually, one of the hosts makes it, and their own homemade whipped cream. The whipped cream usually comes out kind of blah, though. Like they don't add sugar to it or something. 

We took the leftovers of the pecan and apple pies home with us. Now we have a boatload of desserts.We now have a huge box of Belgium-style chocolate cookies (barely have gotten into them), 2 pies (there was a lot of it left still...), chocolate almond biscottis, Halloween candy, and chocolate covered raisins. That's a lot. We'll be good on that for a while. 

I'm continuing with my idea of making Fridays cleaning days.Last Friday I swept and mopped my bathroom floor. That completes cleaning my entire bathroom. I hadn't mopped in a while. Had to dry the floor with a towel after I did it, and then sweep it again. But, now it looks amazing!Like a totally different room. 

Also, today my bathroom towel rack fell off of the wall.For a moment I thought that the wall itself was decaying behind it or something. I found a screwdriver, and tightened the screws that were inside the part that is on the wall itself. Then, put the part that holds the rod and connects it to the wall over it, and tightened the screw that was on the outside of it. (That part holds it secure to the wall one.) It worked super well. Now it's really stable, and it hadn't been for years.The other side is starting to pull apart from the wall too, but it hasn't gotten to the point where it's easy to take off. So, I'll wait on that. But, I'm proud of myself for figuring it out, and that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was.One of the screws looked badly rusted, though. Oh, and recently I super-glued the cover of one of our fancy matchstick holder cases together with its case. The cover has a Shabbat table scene on it, and looks cool. It fell off the holder about a year ago. I've wanted to fix it for a while. So, yay! It's fixed, and the cover is pretty well bonded to it. 

This coming Friday, I hope to start cleaning the dining room. Not sure how much I'll get done, but I'll start it, at least. Almost everything in the china cabinet is covered with a thick layer of dust.So, that'll be a major part of it. Our cats have done some odd things on the carpet in there, too. I'll see what more I can do with that. When I get to doing my bedroom, I think that'll take the most amount of time. So, hopefully doing that in 'stages', and cleaning other areas in between them, it won't seem so big.And, I can reach those other places within that time as well. When I get to my closet, I'm thinking of trying on the rest of the clothes I haven't gotten to, as well. So, it's so much more than just dusting and vacuuming things. 

Finished watching Amatsuki (Rainy Moon) on Monday. It was one of the worst endings I've seen in a while...Felt like they really meant to have a 2nd season, but it fell through. It felt like it just started. Things were finally moving along. The story was starting to get really interesting. They still didn't explain how Tokidoki and Kon were transported into this world that was supposed to just be a virtual reality program at a museum. The 'program' wasn't designed to have demons, people with special abilities, etc. in it. Just historically accurate events from the Edo period for high schoolers to get more of a 'feel' for it. You could interact with characters, but they were supposed to only be able to do superficial stuff, and couldn't have thoughtful conversations. So, why did it 'change'? And, there are hints that other characters may have gotten stuck in that world, but have lost their memories of the outside world. Apparently, the manga is still ongoing, and started in 2002. This anime version was only 13 episodes, and was in 2008. So, there obviously is a lot more to it. But, I don't want to have to read something that I watched in order to get some kind of 'closure'.And the show for most of the season was just lukewarm with me anyways. 

Decided to drop Sougiya (Undertaker) Riddle, and replace it with Variante. It's very interesting so far. It's definitely not for the faint of heart.Lots of gore already, but the story's been good so far, too. I love the horror genre, so this intrigued me. Hosho Aiko's a girl who was brought back to life by the left arm of a 'chimera'. Chimeras in this are a grotesque human-derived species that drastically alter the shape of their own body parts. It all started when Aiko saw her family slaughtered in front of her eyes by a chimera. The creature attacked and killed her after it noticed she was there. But, the next thing she knows, is she wakes up in what she thought was a hospital room. She was in the morgue beforehand, and was about to have an autopsy done on her body, when the ME noticed she had a pulse. The only thing they noticed that was abnormal with her body was her left arm. It looked deformed. Apparently, as she's 'rested' the arm has begun to heal a bit. But, when she woke up, she had amnesia and didn't remember what happened. She saw her arm and tried to cut it off with a shard from a mirror she passed and broke while walking around the 'hospital'. There wasn't a nurse or patient around at the time. She passed out eventually, and woke up again with restraints this time. After meeting the detective that dealt with her case, she came face to face with a chimera. As her arm attacked it on its own, she started to remember everything. Her arm is apparently a weapon now. She was into playing the piano only because it seemed to make her parents happy. Now that her arm is deformed, she feels she'll never be able to play again. Hence, the title of that chapter. Should be interesting to see what happens next. The detective was the one who brought the chimera in, but it was only so that Dr. Kochigawa could study it alive. She's the one who's now looking after Aiko. So far this has been much better than Riddle. 

Looked a bit at Kuroshitsuji's (Black Butler) soundtracks. They're quite interesting. There's heavy Indian influences, some have German tones, English flair, classical, and more. It actually makes sense now that I look at the series. It's set in England in the late 19th century, too. Some characters are Indian, some German, etc. The Indian songs sounded like a mix of ragas and a bit of Bollywood type music. I know that on that soundtrack there was a curry competition Ciel and Sebastian were forced to compete in. In that arc, they also met 2 of what are now somewhat regular side characters. Prince Soma and his 'butler' Agni, now live at the mansion too, much to Ciel's dismay. (Now that I remember, I think that he gave one of his manor houses to them to take care of eventually. But, they still visit him constantly. Almost like they never left.) Only because they try to help him out, make sure he's healthy, berate Sebastian if they feel he's not doing a good job taking care of Ciel, be friendly with Ciel, etc. It just gets overwhelming for him. But, they're really interesting characters. Small aspects of they're religion sometimes pops up too. Like, in the manga's arc that I'm currently on, Soma asked if a meat pie had beef in it. (Hindus don't eat beef. Cows are considered sacred.) People were unsure, so he refused to have any. Turned out Sebastian had put a powerful laxative in it, so he was the only one who wasn't affected. I'm glad that they influenced the music for it. I might feature a couple of the tracks on here soon.

Dropped S-The Last Policeman, because the last few remaining episodes haven't been subbed yet. Maybe someone will sub those episodes in the future, but it's not looking very likely...Sad, because it was really good. 

Finished watching Senryokugai Sousakan. It had a really good ending, and the humor was spot on this time. It was a 2-hour finale. It was cute and funny, but I'm not sure if it'd be worth it to see a 2nd season if there is one in the future.

I dropped Donten ni Warau (Laughing Under the Clouds), because I just didn't like how things were going in it. For some reason, it was kind of difficult for me to get used to the animation. I'm not exactly sure why. The hair and eyes kind of threw me off, and that might be part of it. They killed off the oldest brother too, and I thought that was kind of lame. He was willing to just sacrifice himself like that. Although, he said he didn't have much time left anyways. They could have looked more into his 'condition'. Since he died early in the show, I'm assuming it didn't end the threat either. Seemed pointless. 

I've gone back to Rurouni Kenshin and Ranma 1/2, too. I might go back to D.Gray-man on Saturday. That leaves Monday open for another anime for me to try. Also, I'm getting close to finishing Hero. So, another spot will be open for it. I have 9 anime on my 'to watch' list, so it'd be interesting to look at those. A few are really long shows. And, I might have seen the beginning of a couple of them a long time ago. Those being Kyou kara Maou and the original Prince of Tennis. I might try One Piece out eventually. That's an extremely long one, and doubt I'd ever finish it. But, it'd be interesting to see why people are so into it. There's a lot of other anime that I don't know much about and would be interesting to see. It's kind of like an adventure with each one I'll try.

National Nut Day!

Yay for nuts!I like most nuts. My faves being walnuts, pecans, and cashews. There are very few out there that I can't stand. They're protein and fiber packed, so they're very nutritious.Although, they tend to be high in fat. So, when eaten in moderation, they're great. 

It's been raining like crazy. Apparently it's mostly what the local news is talking about. I was hoping to watch the national news this morning, but the local one decided to cut into it for 30 minutes just to talk about the weather.Ok, we get it. It's raining heavily, and there have been accidents on the roads. Just tell people to be careful, and maybe tell them detours for the roads or something. Then, move on. It's not that hard. I know it hasn't rained for a while, but we're known for our rain...Maybe they're not used to it anymore. It's been pretty windy lately too, but that's kind of died down for today.

I'm really starting to like Senryokugai Sousakan. I think it had kind of a rough beginning. But, it's gotten much better. It's hilarious, yet it's starting to make you feel for the criminals more and more. Also, makes you wonder who the real 'bad' guys are. (In one of the episodes Chinami puts handcuffs on all the reporters that assumed someone was the criminal, and hounded him day and night for months without any evidence. Ruined his reputation.) In the episode I watched yesterday, Chinami and Kyosuke were suspended and told not to 'interfere' with investigations. So, they decided to go to a fan event to chaperon the kids from Kyosuke's dojo. They were just supposed to get signed posters for the kids, take them to a live performance, etc. But, one of the actors was stabbed to death, and they felt they had to investigate or at least start things since they were already there. They called some of the other detectives to run it 'officially'. The section chief was also suspended and went to the same event with his son. The person who was killed was a stuntman. The main actor can't do any of the athletic moves his character does, so he relies on the stunt doubles. There are 2 stunt doubles. The extra one was supposed to cover for the main one if something bad happened to him. It turned out that extra stuntman did it because he felt he should have been the main one. At the end, Chinami, Kyosuke, and the section chief were all reinstated. The head of the precinct really wants Chinami to succeed in her investigations, but for some reason the people ranked just below him want to ignore her. Or at least make her look bad. 

Gugure has been awesome!The humor is a lot like Gintama's. I just realized, a lot of what Kohina thinks or her outlook on life is how I used to be as a little kid. I never acted like a doll, but the other stuff was very similar. I thought I was the only one that was like that...She's a very interesting character. Apparently she has a hard time smiling, and every time she tries or forces herself to, parts of her face move around. There was a time where she tried to do it while standing in front of a store's window, and she shattered it. Kokkuri's trying so hard to be her guardian and help her in being more 'human'. Coming from a fox spirit, that seems odd. (Apparently they made a promise when she was even younger. He's not sure if she remembers, though.) The dog spirit or Inugami has been hilarious. The dog died so early in its life it didn't know its 'gender'. (I use that kind of loosely, because I think they really meant sex.) So, Inugami switches between male and female all the time. Although, he tends to be male most of the time. He has a creepy stalkerish love for Kohina. Ever since she showed him kindness when he was living, he has been stalking her and only recently has decided to haunt her too. He hates Kokkuri with a passion. I like both of their spirit 'forms'. Kokkuri looks like a cute fluffy little fox, and Inugami looks like an emo purple dog. Just recently, a tanuki (raccoon dog) spirit showed up asking to haunt Kohina. Another strange guy. But, he looks much older. 

Finished the 11th short story to my nightmare anthology, and started editing it. Colored in more of the drawings of my characters' outfits/accessories from my first novel, Alliance. I'm noticing that I don't have as wide a selection of colored pencils as I thought.I don't even have a regular brown color...But, it's still been interesting to look at them colored in. Almost like they're coming 'alive'. Finished editing the 2nd angry panel for Junko (also in Alliance) in the exaggerated expression meme. Started editing the last one of that section. This one is much funnier looking.It's supposed to be the extreme version of her being angry. Hard for me to imagine her that angry.

Hero wasn't as exciting this episode.The previous ones were great. But, I guess they have to show examples of the seemingly smaller crimes. One was about a woman who decided to try narcotics after the yakuza told her to help them ship it. She's a flight attendant. She felt her job was so stressful that she needed something to take the edge off. The other case was about a father who just wanted to know what really happened to his son. The killer killed himself while he was in holding waiting to go to trial. But, he confessed the day of to one of the prosecutors. They couldn't do anything about it at the time. The killer had first told the police that it was an accident. The two were fighting, and suddenly one of them hit his head so hard he died. But, he later said that he really did kill him. After the father heard all this he felt a lot more relieved. He wasn't told much about the story, and the authorities were reluctant to tell him anything. 

Donten ni Warau has gotten a bit more interesting. Started off really slow. I was reluctant to keep watching it.But, the story just got a bit more intense. I hope they pick up the pace more, though. The middle brother, Soramaru, has decided to go undercover and infiltrate the prison to see who the prisoners are giving 'presents' to. He got himself into a bit of pickle, because he's already come face to face with that person. He can't remember a certain incident in his past, but gets flashbacks of parts of it. That's when he was strangled and still has the mark on his neck, but he doesn't know much else about it. He doesn't know who did it, why, what was he doing at the time, or even where he was. He gets a flashback as soon as he sees the person everyone's giving gifts to, and realizes the person who strangled him had the same mask on. Tenka, the oldest brother, had talked a lot about the Orochi vessel and sealing it. But, they didn't explain who this 'vessel' was or what Orochi was. (There are hints that it might be Sora or Tenka himself.) He was talking to Chuutarou's (the youngest brother) teacher, Botan, about it. She wants to kill the vessel, and he said that wasn't his style. Shirasu, a former ninja from a clan that was wiped out and is staying with the Kumo brothers (he helps with housework and is kind of like a bodyguard at times for when Tenka is gone), is suspicious of Botan. 

Started reading World Customize Creator. The name is kind of lame, but the story so far has been interesting.Tagami Yusuke, led by a mysterious voice, is summoned to another world called Caltsio. He was just a video gamer before, but fate made him become the 'Evil G-d of Calamity' of this world. He's obtained the ability to create and customize everything, just like in the game he was playing before he was 'summoned'. But, in that game you had to earn points in order to customize things. He had a hard time getting enough points, and was summoned just after he thought he'd try to cheat the game. So, I'm thinking he's still playing that game, but has been transported to the game world through it. He has 'unlimited' points now, though. A transparent game control panel comes up around his head occasionally, but characters in that world don't seem to see it. I know it's very similar to a lot of other trapped in game scenario mangas, but I'm giving this one a try nonetheless. 

Played my clarinet. Did a lot of klezmer tunes. In fact, I'm almost finished with playing through that book again. Slipped up a few times, but wasn't too bad. In fact, I feel like I've been improving a lot since I've tried to get back into playing it more often.Although I've also remembered that the more often I play, the more often my head and one of my arms hurts.For some reason, occasionally I tend to get massive headaches halfway through playing, but push myself through it. Also, one arm gets this weird electro-shock pulsating feeling after playing more often as well. Maybe it'll ease up after a while.

Recent dA faves: Melody Sweets Catalog Commission: Keidan Kyuzazame I did not do these! The first and third ones are from artists I watch. The first one's a cool digital painting of 2 of the artist's original characters playing the cello and violin together. They look like they're really into it. That artist is one of the newer ones to my watch list. The second one is a fanart of a bunch of different characters from Hetalia with various sweets from those countries. Kind of cool. There was another similar piece a while back, but I don't think there were as many characters and it was by a different artist. The third one was a commission of a another artist's original character. He came out kind of cute. The artist who did the commission normally does things with flash and has done his own comic strip in the past. He has a very interesting and distinctive style. What drew me to him was really his video 'Draw With Me' on youtube. He's amazing, and a lot of people have praised him for his work. Especially that one. He did a sequel to that one that was very interesting too. In those vids, besides the background music, it's silent. It can be hard to do that kind of thing. The characters only communicate through writing and drawing on a transparent wall that separates them. The story is very interesting, and I hope he continues with it at some point.

National Fluffernutter Day!

Fluffernutters are awesome!Probably not too healthy, but awesome nonetheless. It's a marshmallow fluff and peanut butter sandwich. Haven't had one in a long time. It's also National Pierogi Day. I love Pierogies! Especially potato and/or cheese ones. Good stuff. It's National German-American Day, too. I'm part German. So, yay for us!

Senryokugai Sousakan has been interesting so far. I've seen it be translated as Detective Designated for Assignment, but I think a better one would be Strength of an Outsider Detective. Her names Chinami, she's a complete outsider to the squad, and is treated as such. But, she outranks almost everyone, and is extremely bright. She just has never really had training out in the field. The squad is ordered to keep her away from going out into the field. She asks them beforehand to treat her like a rookie. She always finds her way to the case at hand, and manages to solve them with the help of Kyosuke, a detective who becomes her partner and is supposed to keep an eye on her. He's skilled in karate, and teaches it at his teacher's dojo. The first couple of episodes started with her bizarre dreams, but they had meaning to a case later. Kyosuke's teacher, who he also lives with, always says something relevant to the case in a zen way, I guess, before they've dug into it. The other detectives on the squad seem to be warming up to her already.

I decided to put Rurouni Kenshin on hold in order to try one of the new anime shows for this season. (I don't even think I'm halfway through that series...It's long. Good, though.) Started watching Gugure! Kokkuri-san. Gugure is basically saying 'Google it!'. The story revolves around a little girl named Kohina. (She's on top of the instant noodles in the pic holding a coin.) She ends up summoning Kokkuri-san (a fox spirit. In the pic he's the middle one in blue), through an old seance game. (Kind of like Ouija, but with a coin.) At first he merely intends to haunt her, but soon becomes worried about her eating habits and overall well-being. Now he haunts her in order to protect her. She's emotionally detached, and refers to herself as a doll. Not human. She lives in a shrine by herself with no parents or guardians to take care of her. She only enjoys eating junk food. Specifically instant cup noodles. She had quite a collection of them, before Kokkuri got rid of most of them. She may look vulnerable, but she's capable of taking down people who are 3 times her size including Kokkuri. Really hilarious series!The humor reminds me of Cuticle Tantei Inaba, a little Gintama, and maybe a touch of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (Goodbye Mr. Despair). They've barely introduced the dog spirit or inugami, but he's seen in a box labeled 'oranges'. And, has howled like a dog. I think at one point he yells something like 'take me home!'. He looks human right now. (He's 2nd from the right in the pic.) This looks promising. Hopefully, it keeps it up. 

In Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler), Snake has joined the Phantomhive's staff as a footman. He was about to seek revenge against Ciel (came close and was the uninvited guest in the murder case. He killed one of the guests thinking it was Ciel. No one else, besides Sebastian, realized), but Ciel managed to deceive him about what really happened to the other members of the circus. Instead of telling him that he and Sebastian ended up killing everyone, he said that they knew that the members were kidnapping children, and those members knew they were on to them so they ran away. Snake didn't know that they were kidnapping kids. And, Ciel left out the fact that they were using those kids' bones for making prosthetics. Snake was one of the few of that troupe that didn't have a prosthetic of some sort. He felt the circus was his only home, and he had nowhere else to go. Feeling betrayed by them as well, he accepted Ciel's offer to join him. He has scales all over his body. He has at least 9 snakes (most, if not all, are venomous. Probably a lot more snakes than that from when he introduces himself to the staff...They're crawling all over the place) that stay with him most of the time, and they speak through him. He gets nervous easily, too. He rarely speaks unless its to relay info through his snakes. He's one of my fave characters in the series. I'm glad they didn't kill him, although I'm surprised that he joined them.Ciel's fiancee's family is going on a cruise ship, and a shady organization called Aurora is meeting on the same one. They've been buying people to experiment on. It's a medical organization, and one of the main hospitals claims that it can revive the dead. So, Ciel's forced to investigate it further by joining her on the cruise ship. He was worried about her as soon as he heard what ship and day the meeting was going to be held. This will be Snake's first time going somewhere with Ciel and Sebastian in his new position. The other staff members will have to stay behind to protect the manor.

In Pandora Hearts, it's been kind of confusing. Things are being revealed quickly, and even the characters are taken aback by it all. Oz met his father while he was still in the ruins of Sabrie. His father treated him like he was nothing. Basically, like before his coming-of-age ceremony. Gil runs after him expecting to kill him, but Break stops him in the nick of time. Just before that, Break was torturing one of the Baskervilles to get more info out of them. He walked away after suggesting that they should be friends. I think he's tired of the whole thing. Oz felt more himself again once Gil, Break, and Alice came back. Apparently, Glen Baskerville can be brought back to life. He originally would travel from body to body every so often. Then, Jack interrupted him during the ceremony being done on Gil 100 years ago. (That's when Gil gained the Raven chain, because that was all that could be transferred at the time.) Jack cursed Glen by splitting up his own body, and saying that he couldn't come back without finding all of Jack's 'parts'. Those parts have apparently turned into memory fragments, instead of actual body parts. The Baskervilles apparently own the Abyss, too. One of them just got through the Abyss, and was just informed that it's 100 years later. She looked terrified. I'm not sure where they're going to take this. I'm still confused as to why Oz's existence is a sin in the first place. (That's why he was tossed into the Abyss at his Coming-of-Age ceremony.) Although, maybe it is to the Baskerville's because he's Jack's vessel now. 

Wrote more of the 11th short story to my nightmare anthology. Not sure where I'm taking this one, but it's been crazy, fun, and interesting to write so far. I think when I was more on a roll, I might have had the ending of it in sight. But, it's been a while, and might be going in a different direction.I did decide that this won't be the last one to the anthology. I think there's at least one more I can do for it. I might make it the shortest. I don't know. 

Played my clarinet. Did some Mozart pieces, and some from my clarinet solo book. Wasn't too bad considering I haven't played in a while. Not that many mistakes, just a few slip ups. But, if I play it regularly, I should get back to the way I was before and improve from there.

Studied the kanji: 胃, 印, 英. 胃 or い (i) means stomach, craw, crop, paunch. Since there's only one way to pronounce it, it makes it easier. 印 pronounced as いん (in): seal, stamp, mark, print; (abbr) India. The full name would be 印度 or いんど (indo), so the kanji in this one is used phonetically which is called 当て字 (ateji) or 'called upon characters'. There's no underlying meaning to the kanji this way, just for how to pronounce the word. Which can be confusing at times...As しるし: mark, sign; symbol, emblem; badge, crest, flag. As 印する or いん.する (in.suru): to stamp (one's mark, etc.), seal; to leave (one's footprints, etc.). Most of the time 英 is pronounced as えい (ei). (On rare occasions it's pronounced as はなぶさ (hanabusa), which is used as a term in botany.) It means England, English, British, Britain. Did the practice quizzes on JapaneseClass' site. Was pretty good. A little rusty with some words I haven't seen for a while, but not bad. Made it to the top 20 ranking for the day. My overall rank is going up pretty quickly. Wrote out more of part of a You Maga article. It's the last section of this part. Soon I'll write out the last couple sentences, then start translating bits of it. I'm glad I'm nearing the end of this section. It's like a special with many mini articles that are apart of it. Interesting so far.

My meds were a little late.I finally got them yesterday. But, I ran out of my omeprazole the day before. The main reason I was put on that was because of me throwing up all day for no reason, and not feeling it coming on. It just happened. The doctor was amazed, and couldn't figure out why it was happening. So, he tried this on a whim. It works great!I haven't had a problem with it since. Although, it makes me wonder why I had that problem.Anyways, I've gone without it for a day before and seemed fine. So, I thought it wouldn't be a big deal. My stomach felt like it was on fire halfway through the day. It was so painful, that's all I could think about.I also started to feel like I was going to throw up at one point. When I checked the mail and found out my meds were here, I quickly took an omeprazole. It helped a lot, but I still feel a slight burning sensation. This is after I took another one at my normal time in the morning. I technically had 2 doses within a 24-hour period. Doesn't sound good when you're only supposed to take 1 a day. But, I needed it so badly yesterday. And good thing I got my other meds before they ran out. I had ordered these things at the beginning of last week. It doesn't normally take that long...

I didn't go to group yesterday. Dad had scheduled an appointment just before it, and wouldn't have had time to swing by the house to get me. I still didn't feel too great at the time, so it was probably good I didn't go.I tried some frozen bulgogi for dinner yesterday. The brand was a bit odd. They used brown rice instead of white sticky rice. There was quite a bit of mushrooms and mushroom flavor in the vegetable and rice medley part. The sauce and beef were really good, though.It was good to try, at least. I normally love bulgogi, but overall this was a bit weird. I also shaved my legs again.I'm trying to get back to making it a habit. It feels good to have smooth legs. Haven't had them this smooth since maybe the beginning of high school. Also, watched something during the time we'd normally have the meeting. So, I was all good with things during that time.
