National Ice Cream Soda Day!

Mood::iconchibiamericaplz:

Ice cream sodas are so good!:drool:I'm surprised it gets its own day, though. I love almost any kind of 'float'. But, my fave has got to be root beer.:iconchibicanadaplz:Well, if I had some root beer and some ice cream, I'd so make one to celebrate.:la:Sadly, I don't.
I think it's been slightly warmer than yesterday. Still a little cold. This is Pasta Asciutta that I made last night. It's an Italian dish. I kind of tweaked it a bit.;) Added some chopped up steak, cut up celery (instead of grated celery root), and didn't strain it. We all like when it's a chunky sauce, so why lose that?:iconpolandplz:The cookbook was probably not the best, but I don't think it was horrible either. Very interesting seasonings.:nod:Sweet basil, nutmeg, garlic, ketchup, salt, and pepper. First time peeling tomatoes as well. Yay!:dummy:Turned out really tasty! I'd definitely make it again.:iconchibispainplz:It's already got 3 faves on dA.

Watched Hana Kimi. It was hilarious when Nakatsu and Sano agreed to fight over Mizuki. Both of them know she's a girl now. The 3 dorm heads were about to find out at the end of the episode. But, the preview for the next, looks like they all stick up for her. Even going as far as dressing as women for her. Should be interesting. That will be the final episode and it's 2 hours long. Sano finally made his high jump in this episode, too. The guys did a hilarious cheer leading thing to Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne. This show's really awesome! The cast, story, issues they address with ease, humor, everything!:iconchibihungaryplz:I read that the other 'versions' (like the Taiwanese one) of this show didn't do as well. So, I'm going to miss it.:iconsadrussia:

In Naruto Shippuden, all the shinobi villages are preparing for war against Madara and Sasuke. Kakashi will be Konoha's new Hokage. He'll probably be a good choice. For some reason, I feel like Naruto should be. But, maybe it's just not his time yet.:iconnorwayunimpressedplz:

Played some Irish tunes. I decided to try and play every tune that's in the 'packet'. (Normally, I'd skip most of them.:iconkikuplz:) Even though I played for the full hour, I'm still not finished with it.:faint:A few more pages left. Got through a lot of that table of contents page for the June issue of You Maga. Nothing strange this time. Yay!:iconchibinitalyplz:
Dear finally had an update! Wahoo!:iconyayhanatamagoplz:But, the chapter only took me a few minutes to read.:iconwtfukplz:This one had 2 months in between updates, instead of Afterschool Charisma's 1 month. I was just happy they put something out.:iconfrancisplz:This time Kisara finally realizes that he loves Chiruha. Took him long enough!:iconohboyamericaplz:The mangaka's comment at the end suggested things are going to be moving a lot faster, story wise. I liked the leisurely laid back feeling they've been having. But, I guess they have to get back to the action and progress.:iconchibiaustriaplz:

deviantART fave: Angel I did not make this! An amazing pic of a soulful looking cat. It looks either sad or really terrified. Having it in black and white adds to the mood, too.

Another interesting song by Jonsi:

Animal Arithmetic

Mood::iconeestiplz:

By Jonsi. This song's amazing.:iconfrancisplz:Makes you feel really good after hearing it. I was introduced to it through a Hetalia tribute vid. (What a surprise...:iconkikuplz:) But, it's one of the best Hetalia themed vids, I think. (Makes me love Hetalia even more!) The pics really fit the song. Jonsi is the guitarist and vocalist of an Icelandic post-rock band called Sigur Ros. He's known for his use of a cello bow on a guitar and his falsetto voice. He's blind in his right eye. In April 2010 he released his debut solo album. He sounds really cool. Maybe I'll look at his other songs.:iconchibinitalyplz:

It's been cold today. Much cooler than normal. Tomorrow's going to be even colder.:iconromanoplz:It's almost July already, and we're having low 60s? I should bite my tongue, because it can easily end up being in like the 90s and I'll be complaining because of the heat.:iconchibiromanoplz:Summer's crazy like that around here.

Did a lot of dusting this morning. I'm surprised at how much dust accumulated on the hearth.:omg:And, I thought there was the normal amount of dust on top of the blinds, but after doing that I opened them and found huge piles of dust. Piles big enough that it looked like really fine lent or dark snow.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:It was disgusting. Found a dead bee that Rosie wanted to eat. Fun fun.:iconnorwayunimpressedplz:

Watched Control. It's still a really good drama. This episode's apparently the first part of a 2 parter. I think the professor's psychologist friend did the murders.:iconpolandplz:He did write the book that was linked to the first one. About how someone can have a perfect alibi, yet perfect motive. There has to be 2 murderers. One to carry out the crime of the person who had the most motive to do it. And then, that other person has to kill whoever that person wanted to kill. So, they switch. Harder to catch them when both people made a scene at the places they were at when the murders happened. So, there's plenty of witnesses to their 'perfect alibis'. Only problem was, one of them was supposed to return the favor and kill off whoever their counterpart wanted killed. And, walked in to see the person's already been murdered. Plus, Segawa apprehended him before he could commit the crime. So, who did it?:icongermanyplz:
In Fairy Tail, the group had split up in the forest to find Wendy and Happy. Then, were ambushed by different dark guilds. They easily defeated them. Wendy resurrects Jellal. He beats up Brain and Natsu, then walks out like nothing happened. The only thing he muttered while he was walking away was 'Erza'. I think he's a zombie now or something. He's not really thinking he's just doing. Although, there seemed to be something there when Wendy collapsed. She keeps mentioning that he saved her, and so she wanted to return the favor. The poison in Erza is spreading quickly. Natsu later saves Happy and Wendy, with the help of Gray. (In the pic.) They're still on the way to the others, though.

Played some Beatles and Irish tunes. Day by day, with my practice time extended, I'm improving quickly. It feels good.:la:I love when things start to click again, too. Worked on the contents section of June's issue of You Maga. It's interesting so far. Only one bit that I could not figure out. It was really minor, and might have been like an abbreviation or a thing that indicates emphasis. There's a lot of those, but I usually can figure those out quickly. Oh, well.:icontinoplz:
O-part's was just too crazy this time. I'm not sure I like the direction it's heading. But, I'll keep going, because I might be surprised. The city of Rock Bird crumbles into ruins on the ground. (It was a flying city.) Kirin, Ball, and Jajamaru are saved by Amidaba. Jio gets his soul and body back. But, Ruby's soul is trapped inside him. After burying Marus; Ball, Jajamaru, Kirin, and Amidaba go off to search for Jio. (The last image of him, was him falling from the sky unconscious.) They fast forward to 4 years into the future. Ball actually looks cool now. And, his attacks are much better. Cross has joined them in trying to find Jio. (Why has it taken them over 4 years to find Jio?!:iconwtfromanoplz:) His personality and look have totally changed. It's weird. Anyways, Stea and Zenom are constantly attacking them, so they go in shifts to fend them off. I'm really not sure about all this. But, I guess I'll see what happens.:iconchibijapanplz:

Singing Songs

Mood::iconchibicanadaplz:

Or, Uta Utai. An original song sung by the Kaito Vocaloid. (They do a lot of covers.) A really pretty, and amazing sounding song.:iconchibihungaryplz:Shows his range well. Doesn't sound too computer-like either. I like when they get his voice to sound more 'human'. Someone said in the comments for the vid about the lyrics, that it's Vocaloid in a nutshell. I agree.:iconchibinitalyplz:Well, here's the vid:

It actually got a bit warm yesterday. Even though it looked freezing out. Weird. It's doing pretty much the same thing today. Parents left a little later than they expected yesterday. Hope things are going well at the retreat. I got a surprising amount of stuff done yesterday. Wahoo!:dummy:

I managed to work on things like my character sheets, building descriptions, editing of Alliance, and planning the next oc face I'll be working on. All related to my story.:la:Finished 'book 1' of Dune. Really part 1 of the first book. Next 'book' is Muad'Dib. I think I might move on to another book, and once I'm finished with that, go back to 'book 2'. That way I'll get to read something that feels 'fresher'. I think at about 200 pages it's ok to stop for now.:iconheroamericaplz:Next one on my list's Timeline. If I remember correctly, it sounded like it'll be awesome. I think I've seen the movie, and it was pretty good. They say the original book versions are usually better, so that should be fun.:iconus-xdplz:

Started writing out and translating the contents page of the June edition of You Maga. Thought it'd be interesting. And, it is so far. Afterschool Charisma finally had the next chapter up!:iconfrancisplz:Only took me like 5 minutes to read it though. Waited a whole month for that.:iconromanoplz:Oh, well. Good thing I'm reading other mangas in between updates.

Went through another cookbook. The way it was laid out, was really heard to read. But, I found some things. It's an American/Canadian cooking club cookbook compilation of all it's members' submitted recipes. Really old, too. Like from early 70s I think. So, they're recipes are worded really oddly.:iconchibijapanplz:Ate the leftover sausage and sweet pepper thing I made a while back and had it with pasta for last night's dinner. There's still a ton of pasta leftover, since I made the whole package, and obviously only had a serving. I'm not sure what I'll have tonight, though.:iconkikuplz:Parents are coming home late, so they're eating out.

Delicious Gakuin was bizarre, yet hilarious. I kind feel sorry for them. Rouma's got to be one of the weirdest characters. He likes to eat onions raw.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:I think he likes to eat anything raw, actually. He always carries an old dirty frying pan, and has a name for it.

Played my clarinet for an hour again! Yay!:iconyayhanatamagoplz:I definitely feel more 'into' it when I play for that long. And, I'm improving quickly. Played some Mozart and Beatles tunes. The Beatles book is really oddly written. Went over chirps. It's been a long time since I've stopped and worked on them. They're faster than trills, so they're a lot more difficult. I'm also going over my really high notes. It's not that I've forgotten how to do these things, it's just I've been skipping over them for a long time.:iconusaplz:So, I'm a little rusty. If I keep practicing them, I'll be caught up to what I was like before.
In Gosick, Victorique's forced to go to class. She calls Avril a farting newt, after Avril taunted her. Later, Avril calls her a frilly witch. Kind of funny.:iconsleepygreeceplz:Leviathan's been long dead, and was a phony alchemist. He was a good magician, though. Conveniently, another magician shows up at the clock tower where Victorique's investigating. He's been after her for a while, but couldn't do anything at the clock tower because the maintenance guy popped in. This magician is also in the opening theme. Where he eventually kidnaps her. Wonder if that comes true?:iconwtfukplz:
In Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, sensei talked about the Ringelmann effect. It's when many people work together, the amount of work each individual does decreases. People end up slacking off. Example, they discovered over 6000 marine species and you care less and less about new ones. Another, when the page number's big, you start skimming. Next, the students were playing tug-of-war, with sensei being the one tugged in both directions. The students were yelling he belongs to us. It was about unfair decisions.
