National Hot Fudge Sundae Day!

Mood::iconeestiplz:

I love sundaes!:dummy:And a day devoted to one of my faves? That's awesome!:iconus-xdplz:Too bad I won't be celebrating it.

It's been really cold today.:iconnataliaplz:Only 62 right now. Woke up a few times early in the morning because of the loud booming thunder, too. It's been raining off and on. Managed to get all my walks in, though! Wahoo!:la:

Wanted to watch Arashi ni Shiyagare, but had a bad internet connection at the time. Plus, the format it was in, doesn't really agree with my comp.:iconwtfukplz:That's very rare. So, I'll have to skip to the next one anyway.
In Letter Bee Reverse, Sunny still has a little heart, so Lag and Conner took her to Dr. Thunderland to help her recover. Lag, Zazie, and Conner head out to hunt down the Cabernet Gaichuu. Lawrence (in pic) sends Noir to unlock the twin gatekeepers' cages. Lawrence plans to use them to draw out the government's experiments' (or Those Unable to Become Spirit) hearts. They have stronger hearts than humans and will give the Cabernet immense power. Eventually, it will take down the artificial sun.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:Noir's totally against using them as sacrifices like they did the nuns, he rebels, and ends up running away from them. Does that mean he has more heart than he let's on? Interesting.:iconkikuplz:Lawrence reminds me big time of Orichimaru in Naruto. Just as creepy and demented.

Played some Klezmer and a little Mozart. I'm happy I've been able to keep up the hour-long practice now.:iconchibinitalyplz:I can tell I'm improving greatly. Really got into it. Yesterday, Dad said I sounded beautiful.:iconchibihungaryplz:Makes me feel like playing more when I hear something like that. Someone commented and faved Max! Yay! They said Max seriously needs an all fat diet. I think he's past that point.:iconchibijapanplz:

Wrote out more of an article on summer foods from the June issue of You Maga. Finished 2 sentences, and started another. 食に対する飽くなき欲求を満たしてくれる12品+6店を紹介。(Shoku ni taisuru akunaki yokkyuu o mitashi tekureru 12 shina + 6 mise o shoukai.) Comparing foods to satisfy our insatiable appetites, we introduce 12 products + 6 stores. 初夏らしい味覚もたっぷり!(Shoka rashii mikaku mo tappuri!) Appears like early summer is full of taste!

Tried to read some more of Saijou no Meii or The Best Skilled Surgeon. But, it's gotten too serious and bloody.:iconlietplz:In the beginning, they added some humor every so often, and it was interesting. (Even those early bloody points.) I was just testing this one out anyways.:shrug:Tried to read Shibatora. I loved the drama. But, I don't particularly like the manga's style. Sad.:iconraivisplz:So, I'll look for another as a stand-in for when there aren't Afterschool Charisma updates.

Cousins Day

Mood::iconchibicanadaplz:

A day just for cousins? That's kind of cool.:iconhappychinaplz:Too bad I'm not really close with mine.:iconwtfromanoplz:I have a lot of them, but most live on the east coast. Facebook's been awesome that way. I'm starting to connect more with a few of them.:iconchibinitalyplz:

Yesterday's weather was really nice.:iconchibipolandplz:Today's supposed to be significantly warmer. And, so far it is. Read somewhere that it might get into the low 80s. It's 77 at the moment, so I'd believe it! Wahoo!:dummy:But, after today, it goes back to being cold.:iconsadrussia:

Hetalia finally put something out!:iconlachoirplz:It's another 'special' episode. It was mainly about the countries celebrating Halloween, and Germany and Italy reminiscing about the past. It was kind of cute, but I wish it was longer than the normal episodes. (Which are only 5 minutes!:iconbraginskiplz:) At least they gave us something after having nothing for about 3 months. I hope it comes back for another season. I'm still hearing rumors about it (if it will or won't come back), and this might have been a good sign.:iconthailandplz:They even mentioned at the end that it'll continue! But, it's kind of similar to Gintama that way. They like to tease, so still not sure. We'll see.:iconswissplz:

Since Dad went to something Friday night, Mom and I went to the market to see what we'd like to have for dinner. Preferably, something cheesy, since Dad doesn't like cheese.:iconberwaldplz:Of course, we were there already to get other groceries. So, we decided to try their chicken enchiladas with some Spanish rice. It had garlic sauce with tons of cheese on top, so why not.:iconseychelles-plz:It wasn't the best, but not bad. I couldn't really taste the garlic.:iconusaplz:For dessert, we got some cinnamon rolls. It was from a brand we hadn't tried yet. I liked it, Mom didn't. Just means I get the last 2 rolls to myself!:iconmochiplz:(Since Dad doesn't like cinnamon rolls.)

I posted the full body drawing of Max Leiche. I think he turned out ok. First time really working on the folds in clothes. Someone faved Tzvi Yaffe's face! Yay! Someone likes it!:iconfrancisplz:Also, read a huge chunk of Timeline. It's getting even more interesting.

I've been feeling really strange the last few days.:iconkikuplz:But, that's probably because of hormones (from a certain monthly friend...:iconlietplz:) and my meds aren't very potent right now. I'm at the very last few pills, and they never work as well. They get stale a little after a month and a half. It's so unnerving for me.:iconromanoplz:But, luckily I only have a couple more days, and then I can have a new batch of meds.:iconicelandfukkiretaplz:Maybe I should set it to getting new meds every month, instead of 2?

Played some of the Sims 2. Russia (based this Sim after the character from Hetalia) finally made it to MVP. But, just before, he apparently had an unplanned practice with his team and someone got seriously injured. Since it was unplanned there were no doctors, so he was sued for 15,000.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:He didn't have that much, so they took all his money and sent him home. Just after this happened the maid stole something as 'payment' for his services, since he didn't have money to pay him. I still don't know what he stole.:iconchibijapanplz:The maid refused to come back until he had a ton of money. It was kind of annoying. But, at least he's making more money than before. Like twice as much. He's almost maxed out his physical stats. Wahoo! So, I'm working on his other stats as well. He doesn't have any logic stats. Need to get him to work on that.:iconhongkongplz:It's getting really fun with him. I've also made him drink a lot of his 'fountain of youth' water cooler. He's almost back to being a teen (or young adult, can't remember), wonder what will happen if I do make him that way...:iconspainplz:He has 23 more days until he's an elder, I think you start with 16 days. (They're kind of like fruit flies.:iconheroamericaplz:)

Went to a new Mexican restaurant in town last night. Mom and I got their chicken mole. I normally love mole. This one was ok, but was too heavy on the smoky spiciness. I like sweeter ones.:iconsleepygreeceplz:Actually had to dump a ton of sugar on it, to make it a bit more palatable for me. And, I always feel funny adding so much of something to a dish at a restaurant. It almost feels like I'm insulting the cook.:icongermanyplz:Took a tiny taste of the refried beans, and I could clearly taste the lard/pork(?). So, I felt bad, but I couldn't eat them. The rice and chips were good. I'll try something else next time. We felt we should give them another try with something else at some point. Oh, and I think Dad liked her chili verde, but it was spicier than she expected.

Went to services yesterday! This time our old cantor led it. Not very many people showed up. Since it wasn't enough for a minion (can't have a full service without at least 10 Jews), we did a Torah study. It was interesting.

deviantART fave: Gion Matsuri A cool pic of a matsuri (festival) float in a parade in Kyoto. This is a month-long festival in July. She talks more about it in the comments.

Fortune Cookie Day

Mood::iconberwaldplz:

Well, it was yesterday. But, I love fortune cookies.:iconthailandplz:A lot of the time I just like the cookie part. Every once in a while I get some interesting 'fortunes'. My fave one still is: Happiness is contagious, scatter the seed. I like how some of them have a little Chinese phrase or word and how to say them on the back. But, that might be because I love learning languages, so it's an added bonus for me.:iconseychelles-plz:

It's been freezing lately!:iconnataliaplz:Definitely not end of July weather. I think I heard it got to a balmy 65 today. Wahoo!:iconusaplz:It's better than getting a massive heat wave, like the east coast's getting. But, really...:iconchibijapanplz:Maybe have at least 10 more degrees over here? Mom heard from someone that our weather may have shifted a month. So, this month is June weather, next is July. That would suck if we have a major heat wave in September or something.:iconlietplz:

Sorry about not posting for so long.:iconwtfromanoplz:I'll try to stay on top of it again. Managed to get all my walks in today!:dummy:Haven't done that in so long... It feels good.:iconchibinitalyplz:
Made dinner and dessert for Tuesday. For dinner, I made a thing called Oriental Hamburger from a really old farmhouse cookbook. (I always feel weird using the term 'Oriental'.:hmm:) Didn't seem very Asian, but maybe it was an American twist on something? Anyways, it was really good!:iconchibispainplz:Interesting to use molasses for it.:nod:There was supposed to be chopped up onions, but we didn't have any. So, I used dried onion flakes. Hey, at least it added some 'onion' flavor!:iconswissplz:Next, for dessert I made a blueberry crisp using a mix from a box. Just needed to add margarine and blueberries. Only hard part was 'thoroughly' mixing the margarine into the topping. But, that wasn't too bad. Bottom pic's what it looks like served. It's a bit blurry, but I still kind of like it. I guess it looks 'artsy' to me.:shrug:The crisp was awesome!:iconitalyplz:(A tad bit too sugary of a topping, to me, but good.)

Did a lot of dusting today.:icondustingplz:There's a lot of dust and cobwebs in the pantry. I think more than any other room that I've done so far.:iconitalyishorrifiedplz:But, I'm finished with it. Almost done with the bathroom. I'll finish the bathroom, and make my way dusting up the stairway and into my room next week. My room's gotten very dusty. So, it's in desperate need of it.:iconhongkongplz:

Finally got back to my story Alliance this week.:la:Mostly been brainstorming what to do for chapter 14 and on, but it's something.:iconchibiswedenplz:Started putting some of these ideas into an outline so I can expand on them a bit. I'm starting to get a taste for it again. Looked up the minimum word count for fantasy novels, just to see how far I am. Regular novels have a minimum of around 60,000. Fantasy's around 75,000 to 80,000. Read somewhere that on average it's at least 125,000 though. I've got a long way to go.:faint:I have a little over 50,000. But, that's ok. I'm not focused too much on that, since it'll be a series. I'm just going to keep it a going.:iconspainplz:Interesting to see, though.
Since Dear hasn't been updated yet, I tried to read some more of Akagami no Shirayukihime (Red-Haired Snow White Princess). But, I noticed it's starting to get a bit boring.:bored:Very interesting concept, but isn't really going anywhere. So, I dropped it. And, started Ao no Exorcist. I'm watching the anime, but I heard from someone that the manga's a bit different. So, why not give it a try.:iconhappychinaplz:I love the anime anyways. There are a few differences, already. It's moving much faster than the anime, as well. (Or, really since the manga's older, the anime's going slower.) The main part of the story isn't much different (so far), and I'm not passed the spot where the anime is, yet. I've noticed for some mangas to anime shows deviate from each other at certain points. (Some have changed the entire plot by doing this.:iconnorwayunimpressedplz:) So, that's always interesting to see.

Played some classical pieces, rock tunes, and a little Klezmer. All within an hour. Yay!:iconyayhanatamagoplz:The classical pieces were a part of a compilation for clarinet solos and piano accompaniment. It was crazy, because a lot of them have the highest notes you can play. I hate playing it, but I can do it.:icontinoplz:Playing extremely high notes hurts my ears. So it's hard even for the player to hear them.:iconromanoplz:I'm a little rusty with them, since I tend to shy away from those. So, I forced myself to do them. Probably scared the cats.:icongermanyplz:Being first clarinet in school meant playing a lot of those high ones. I've always been good at playing them. Got to get back into it, much as I kind of hate it.

Finished a sentence from that You Maga article on Stress Relief Exercises. (Yes, I've been working on this article for a while...:iconpolandplz:Not as into this one as the others, I think that's why.) 深い呼吸を意識しながら、常に背骨を長く保つことを意識して。(Fukai kokyuu o ishiki shinagara, tsuneni sebone o nagaku tamotsukoto o ishikishite.) While aware of your deep breathing, always keep your spine straight.

In Naruto Shippuden, it was more of a lighthearted/getting ready for something big episode. Naruto's about to use a 'key' to unlock the seal that keeps the kyuubi in check. His father told Jiraiya that one day Naruto may be able to control it, and therefore be able to learn one of the most powerful jutsu. Sasuke now has Itachi's eyes. Tsunade's awake and almost back to full health. Supposedly, next week's an hour-long episode. Should finally get more exciting.:iconus-xdplz:

Finished editing Max in Photoshop. I'll probably post him tomorrow. Even though I'm a little reluctant for some reason.:iconchibiaustriaplz:I think he turned out pretty well. First time drawing a skeleton, then putting clothes on him, and finally making folds in those clothes. Might not be perfect, but not bad.

I decided to become a bit more active on mangafox. I haven't really been active, since I created the account a couple of years ago. Anyways, after introducing myself in one of the clubs I joined, I got someone interested in my novel. I gave him a brief description, and he went to read it on dA. He finished it in 2 days!:iconfrancisplz:He said it was a bit of a strange concept, but he really enjoyed it. By the time he got to the end, he said it felt like he wanted to say "feed me more!" He keeps asking me when the next chapter will be finished. It feels so good to find another person who's a fan of my story! Wahoo!:iconeduardplz:Gets me more motivated! I might post some of my drawings on mangafox, I'm still debating. But, it'll be interesting what they think about them. Maybe they'd be more helpful than dA.

Forgot to mention a while back, that I dropped/put on hold VS Arashi. They were doing the same games over and over again. That gets old. So, I started watching a different one called Arashi ni Shiyagare.:icondenmarkplz:This one seems a lot more interesting. It's an improv show. Nothing's planned. They get random guests, do random things, random games, etc. It freaks out the group a bit, so it's kind of funny that way, too. The show's still running, and it's newer than that other one.

deviantART fave: LOLShadow An awesome LOLcat. Nicely done pic of an 'evil' kitty.
