By Monkey Majik, featuring Smap. Another great one from them. I love the beat to this one, and the lyrics are cool too. Here's a video of a live performance of it. (Kind of the least trippy vid I could find.):
I didn't post yesterday because we had problems with our cable. Yay!Mom made an awesome dinner last night! It was salmon with herbs, a new recipe for brussel sprouts, and a good Israeli style basil and herb couscous. The brussels had a maple/olive oil sauce, with craisins. It was also the first time I've seen the sprouts still on the big stem. Really good stuff!Towards the end, it started to become a bit too sweet, but it was awesome! I love brussel sprouts! They're like tiny cabbages.
My dad got a new car finally! Her Ford Explorer broke down in either July or August. (Don't remember.) It took so long because, long story short, of her name change. She got a 2010 Subaru Impreza. Really new, but had 20,000 miles on it already. It's an interesting car.The driver and front passenger seats are heated. It also has a thermometer. Very soft seats. The mirrors can fold up.
I ordered my prescriptions a couple of weeks ago. They were supposedly shipped on the day we had that storm. I was starting to worry about them, because I ran out of one of the doses already.I take 2 large doses and 4 small everyday of the same med. Ended up being the exact right combo for me. They came on Saturday. Thank G-d!I don't think I could have kept taking 8 of those tiny ones, and it wouldn't have lasted long anyways. It seems like I'm running out of everything lately. Like those pills, shampoo, soap, etc. Very strange.
Went to services on Saturday. Didn't have enough people for a minyan, so we weren't able to do a Torah service. But, we had a Torah study session instead. It was about the story of Joseph. There's always something to study in this portion, so it was kind of fun.
Later, we went shopping. I got a pair of sneakers. Mine were so shot, although there were no actual holes yet. The plastic was coming off. These are apparently slip and oil resistant. Cool!I hope they'll feel a bit more comfortable soon. Considering I like to walk a lot.
For dinner that night, we went to a place called the Paella Bar. It's a new Tapas bar. (It's just downtown!) I think I've only gone to a Tapas restaurant once before. And, I don't remember much about it.I ordered a virgin apricot sour. It was so good!We ordered a thing of olives, beef empanadas, sea bass on skewers, chile relleno, a special Spanish nut bread, clams (Dad had them), potato tortilla with artichoke and aioli, and I think something else. The only thing we didn't like was the potato thing. It was dry, and to me didn't have enough artichokes. It was a really expensive place, too. We just glanced at the dessert menu and it looked amazing.
I just finished Gonzo on Sunday. It was really good! I was almost in tears by the end. I'll really miss this one.I like that Kuroki finally realized it was ok to go on living. As a memorial ceremony they played Monami's last rehearsal on the stereo in front of her family, friends, and the detectives. Kind of nice. Sakuma just wanted to be the 'better' detective. But, he finally realized Kuroki's still far better than he is. He said he'll still keep trying. When Kuroki worked in the Equipment Division, Sakuma felt like he was always trying to live up to his 'ghost'. The acting was excellent.I'll look up other shows the actors have been in, and grow my to watch list even more.
I posted a pic on dA and FB: What's Going On? It's another pic of Tasha. I think it's one of my better ones of her. And, she's not as annoyed. Already had a person fave it! I also read a little of the beginning of my novel. I have another flashback that connects to one at the beginning. So, just to keep clear what went on, I reviewed it. Really soon I'll be able to get back into writing. Played my clarinet yesterday too. Not bad. Came up with a good translation of that incredibly long sentence in the North American Post. I'm halfway through the next sentence. Hetalia wasn't up yet. Almost done with editing the Salty slot.
I started a new manga called Afterschool Charisma. It's a very interesting story and concept. There's a high school where clones of famous historical people attend. Like JFK, Napoleon, Freud, Marie Curie, Mozart, and many others. Shiro's the only one who's not a clone. His father's the headmaster. The clones deal with psychological and moral issues. Like, they're told to become better than their originals. But, some aren't into the same things their originals were. For instance, Marie Curie, loves music more than science. Also, the JFK clone is assassinated in a similar way to his original. Are the clones doomed to repeat history (as the Freud clone joked), or can they create their own destinies? Really interesting. And, good so far.
In Letter Bee, it was kind of sad. It was about a dingo who waited 10 years, in the same spot, for his master to come back from her last delivery. Reminds me of another famous story. Anyways, at the end, with the help of Lag and Niche; he found her grave. As soon as he realized where she was, he curled up next to her grave and passed away. Their graves are in the pic above.
deviantART faves: Happy Turkey Day Black Forest Cake Black Forest Cake (2) Yummy Frosty Morning I did not make these! First, a cute drawing of America as a kid, from Hetalia, and a turkey. A nice Thanksgiving themed one. The second and third ones, 2 different but really good looking cakes. Fourth, really tasty looking pastry. (They don't specify what type.) Fifth, a funny drawing of a character with his tongue stuck to his sword.
